- Today we are in Bethlehem Pennsylvania exploring this historic city’s famed Christmas display. Join me on a tour through one of America’s best Christmas destinations as we explore the best things to do and see in this fascinating winter wonderland.
Bethlehem was named on Christmas Eve in 1741 and has maintained it’s close association with Christmas ever since. As you parous down the historic Main Street with many buildings dating back to the mid to late eighteenth century- you can’t help but feel transported back in time. Bethlehem really encapsulates that small town Christmas village with it’s small and walkable streets filled with independent boutiques, restaurants, cafes, and bars- all decked out with spectacular Christmas lights and decorations. It truly is an enchanting experience and makes you feel connected to the story of Christmas, and even though busy, seems to help you slow down and just enjoy it all. Bethlehem, PA is a really fantastic Christmas spot and I think you captured the Xmas sights very well. I love all the historic buildings and it really adds to the Xmas vibe. I’ve been here before and it is really beautiful, not to mention it’s named after the birthplace of Jesus. I also heard that the book shop you showed is the oldest book shop in America.

Hi Hector, in the video this is around 6:30PM to 7:00PM and its open earlier- but I suggest you visit once the sun goes down so you can see all of the Xmas lights better.

SAD that a town named Bethlehem and literally named after Christmas, not ONE mention of CHRIST. Since when was Santa born in Bethlehem.
Not you, but others have shown a proud, judgmental attitude thats displeasing to God & shows believers as killjoys. Christmas has 2 aspects, 1 religious, 1 cultural & American. Here artisans display their goods & earn money to support their families, this cultural holiday gives a boost to the economy. People find gifts to give joy to others. Why cant you thank God for the blessings in our culture instead of pointing fingers & calling others sinners as if somehow YOU are more righteous than they? Pride is a serious sin. Love covers a multitude of sins.
