I had wanted to try painting again having not tried it since school. I'm now 37 and saw your Tree exercise and it's rally got me into watercolour. 水彩やろうとするといつもポスターカラーっぽくなるんだよな、、、
多分ですが、絵の具の量を取りすぎているのかと思います。
もっと水を使うといいかとー
ちなみに、トトロの背景画家としても有名な方はポスターカラーで描かれているので、塗り方なんだと思います。
この方の別の動画でパレットが出てくるシーンを見る限りは塗る時に絵の具を出すのではなく、パレットに起きっぱなしになっており乾いている状態からという色が多い様ですから、同じように水で溶かしながら使ってみてはいかがでしょう？
