This is a really nice sedan. I love the exterior, seat and interior door panel designs. I imagine anyone buying this car will be really pleased with the overall value.
@@dannnsss8034 it is a better car all around. More space, hatchback, more power, rear wheel drive platform. An Acura is still a Honda and no more luxurious than a Kia. Fit and finish in the Honda is far behind the germans( actual luxury), and they are too expensive. The stinger was designed by ex Audi/bmw designers and it feels like it inside. Can’t say that for Honda/acura.
The base engine is more than enough for your novice spirited driver. Adding a simple intake can add even more power for cheap. Yes the V6 twin Turbo is awesome but definitely won't be disappointed in the new 2022 2.5 liter
I live in Miami and it is hard finding an Kia Stinger GT-Line 😮💨 dealerships trying to get the GT2 more than anything 🤦🏾♂️ and these delay inventories sucks
@@brentlowery2547 On paper yes, but the you can tell a significant difference when you drive them. The 2.5t has considerable turbo lag, and the 3.3 doesn't because of the two turbos. The difference becomes more apparent after 60mph. Source: I test-drove the 2.5 for a day and own a 3.3. But half a second when you’re talking 4.7 seconds is a lot! That’s now faster than a RT challenger end it approaches Mustang GT. Still, it is a good point.
Nice review. I have heard the Stinger has been discontinued. .2022 being the final year of production. Is this true or not? I don’t want a car that’s orphaned by KIA.
Thanks! According to Russel Wagner (Kia's VP of marketing), the Stinger will continue to be sold in the U.S for the foreseeable future. In some other countries that may not necessarily be the case
It's not just the Stinger that is being "orphaned" by Kia. ICE in general is going to be orphaned. The next "Stinger" is likely to be reborn as the EV8 in a couple years...
This AWD or the Giulia AWD? Do you think stability and traction control and limited slip differentials are enough to keep a rear wheel drive car from tailspinning. I watch so many Mustang, Charger, BMW and other rear wheel drive crash "shorts". It seems to me irrelevant the slip differential because of the way the power to the rear wheels just keep sending it in the direction you originally pointed, no matter how much correction takes place. In the 1970s, cars I drove with rear wheel drive were too underpowered to cause much harm (not musclehead Camaros or Mustangs). All the crash data suuports that the Mustang is the most fatal car. Easy to see why with rear wheel drive and lots of power.
Would be nice to verify the factory acceleration claimed data. 0.5 sec slower on paper than v6 is not much, especially when we're getting much better mpg. Furthermore, with a few mods You're good to go below 5sec for sure.
yes..has more horse power and torque...only thing might make k5 gt a tiny faster is the dual clutch it has..but not sure if it's even faster has less hp and torque and the stinger comes in awd..the k5 gt is only fwd
Hey by the way guys, what is the vehicle you have that you said you owned that has the 2.5 t? Did you go Genesis GV 70 ( in white of course because no other color works with that vehicle), or maybe is it a more utilitarian vehicle?
I personally chose this. V6 is around 15k more in today's market. 300hp is enough for me, I drove 200 miles round trip the other day with 110 miles being interstate at 80mph and averaged 35mpg for the trip. I love this car, and although the V6 is 70hp more and I imagine fun as ever to drive, I don't need the power or the extra on the monthly payment.
The ONE thing the GT Line turns me off and makes me lean towards the V6 GT is that it needs the LSD! Open diff is kind of lame, and really dampers its true potential.
Anyone who has even shown the remotest interest in a Stinger will always get turned off by one simple thing. Kia dealers are really bad. The car can't sell well because the salespeople can't sell it. Want a Soul? Sure....anytime anywhere. But Stinger? "What's a Stinger?"
This is an underrated fastback I really love it

I bought it and it’s stunning.
Reviewers compare the INTERIOR as luxurious as an Acura TLX, which is an actual luxury brand, and say the stinger is the better car.

I love the 2022 Kia stinger, it’s very nice! I love the Metal speaker gills! It’s very windy, mason can’t get the door closed lol!
I really want to trade my Optima in for this but that note gone whoop my ass😂
300 hp is always welcome, im also impressed with the huge cargo area since I work out of my car. Good review guys.
Thanks!

Almost 300k keep up the good work guys 😄😄

@19:27 The GT Stingers are still significantly faster than the 2.5t, especially on the highway. The 2.5 is still a big upgrade from the 2.0 though.
It is a nice mix if performance and decent fuel mpg....the GT with the v6 gets horrible gas mpg.
5.2 vs 4.7? not a huge difference
@@brentlowery2547 True not much of a difference at all.

Miniscule real world difference.

Kia has confirmed this will be the last year of the car.
It's the last year you can get the same engine in the K5 GT though.

@@CarConfections This news was from 2021. Several Kia dealerships I've been to recently in search of my K5 GT have all stated the Stinger is done.

Dang, I paid 36k for my awd base gt new back in 2020. Crazy how the much stuff has gone up.
Love the video
Amazing video!😸
Don't people with rear wheel drive Stingers get cold hands? It's ridiculous that you can't get a heated wheel. They do the same thing on the EV6.

Electronic shifter? I prefer this
does this model have ambient lighting inside
Can you review the 2022 volvo s60?
Hopefully pretty soon 👍
I have the gt stinger it has heated seats and heated steering wheel
Is this car as fast as the K5 GT or the sonata n line?
yes..has more horse power and torque...only thing might make k5 gt a tiny faster is the dual clutch it has..but not sure if it's even faster has less hp and torque and the stinger comes in awd..the k5 gt is only fwd
Yes, probably a half second quicker by my estimation
nice review. but I gotta ask, did you get owned by the door at the end? lol
Why does America always get the good stuff? Stinger in the UK got discontinued......
I noticed that you didn't talk about the engine until last
Hey by the way guys, what is the vehicle you have that you said you owned that has the 2.5 t? Did you go Genesis GV 70 ( in white of course because no other color works with that vehicle), or maybe is it a more utilitarian vehicle?
We have the Hyundai Sonata N-Line 👍
The Adendum Fee from the dealership on the stinger makes the car not worth the money! I settled for a K5 but I’m very happy with it!
This or the V6?

V6 if you tryna mod it. Lotta potential

I thought they were discontinuing the Stringer
This is the last year

Unless you are tracking the car it is a little used feature.
