I know that the part is simple, but it does exactly what is required: maintaining the momentum of the song, freeing the vocals and guitars to carry the melodic and harmonic material. Steve Jones also understood the iron rule of great rock bass playing - stay low and lock in with the drums.

As you note in your vid, the guitarist Steve played the bass parts in the album recording - traditional stuff but effective. Well done to Steve - nearly 50 years on from his and my teenage years at the time. Death is unfortunately imminent. Hopefully more recent output will deserve and receive the same commentary for their work 50 years from now (although it didn't feel like work at the time :)).
About the 31st measure, you Can put a easier notation.(the same about similary measure)
