Wow, so many cool things.. Personally I like a little bit of all the things that you show... It's not always the same thing... Turlock, that place is 20 mi away from where I was stationed at Castle AFB... MY dad had a Metropolitan like that, but his was a turquoise color..It was a good reliable car.. It looked like many of those qt oil cans had never been opened.. What would be a ballpark figure for a vintage oil can that was never opened.. I think some of those related items hold their value better than gold and silver.. lol... Rob thx for bringing us along and sharing this goldmine with us.. Take care my friend and God Bless...
Hello Gary, I appreciate you watching my videos and for leaving comments. I actually prefer the Nash Metropolitan to be the turquoise color that would be my favorite and number one choice. That’s interesting that you were stationed only 20 miles away from this Turlock event back in the day. To answer your question about an oil can if it’s a rare oil can one that’s highly sought after and not easily found a 1 quart can unopened could bring up to $1000 or maybe more . A common can like a Pennzoil can from the 1960s unopened and may only bring about $20.00 .
Greetings from Petro Media I hope you enjoy this swap meet event video. This is video number one, which is the set up day on Friday and I’m at the Swapmeet right now shooting more video footage of the main event. Enjoy 😊
Less than 10 minutes to the premiere looking forward to this. I've always liked swap meets but never seem to get to attend them other than watching videos 📷👍🇺🇸
Well I'm glad you're not on fire up there. I like the Pepsi sign but I really like that nehi sign 🛑. Decent-looking 60s tailgate in the back end of that blue cart that they were pulling around.
I’m loving the vintage advertising signs, gasolines, trucks, cars & just the whole setup of this event. Looking forward to seeing what it looks like in the next video.
Ohh they some really cool stuff there, love the old chrome gril i think it was chevy,,the can with the Shell emblem & wings was awesome nice show Rob 😎👍👍
Hello Anthony, I was excited to see the shell emblem and wings too on that can. The waterfall grill is my favorite Chevrolet or GMC truck grill. They wanted $1200.00 for that grill. Expensive wall art!!!!
I used to go years ago in the early 80s the signs are amazing but it used to be alot of car parts for motors , and classic cars. Neat that it still goes on
I love seeing the old signs. I wish you would go into more detail about whether they are real or not. I also like hearing you talk about the gas pumps and what year and models they are.
Thanks for your input. This is very helpful. I appreciate you visiting and watching my videos. I do spot reproductions mixed in here and there . I should sometime put together a video pointing out things to recognize a reproduction over an original.
Wow I wish I could chat with you and hear stories about what it was like in the 1970s !!! I must mention that the prices of some of this stuff has literally gone crazy!!!
Hello from Europe. I really love your content. I like the stuff you film: It's a very good mix but I would leave out more the cars as there are hundreds of car channels on RUclips. I would include a bit of 70's car related toys like the Kenner SSP SmaSH up Derby sets or the TCR or Tyco Slotcar Boxes because the graphics are usually very nice, Keep up the good work. Come and visit us sometime at Europe's swap meets :-)
I play the videos in my shop while I’m working. I like how Mike Frankovic describes everything he’s looking at so if I’m under a car and he’s filming something I’m interested I can go back and look at it. I know it’s much easier to do when you’re just filming cars but if you would have said “here’s some nice and crusty shell signs” … that would have caught my attention. I like ratty old gas signs.
Oh my goodness yes it was!!! I shot video footage till my phone battery died. I charged it up in a vendor’s booth and ran it down again an hour later 😂😂😂😂
Feel free to contact me on Facebook page Gas Pump Rob. We can discuss your collection there in private. Thanks for watching and reaching out to me . Rob
I like your scan speed as it is not too fast and I can get a good look at items and also see some prices and compare them to Indiana prices. Great job Rob!!!!!!
@@dennisgruntman2297 Thanks Dennis I try my best to keep the camera steady and smooth with panning . I appreciate you watching my videos. Yesterday I spent all day shooting more footage. Good talking to you at the swap. Did you see that red Chevron pump for $ 1500 by the arena area at the entrance? If so what was the brand ? I was very tempted to by. I knew it was going to sell and it did.
It was nice chatting with you as well! Thanks . I did see it but will get back to you later on the model after I edit part two. Right now I can’t remember the model or the make of the pump, but I remember it looked really nice and there were other people looking at it when I was there. I did capture it for the next video part two so definitely when I see it I’ll be able to identify it for you and I’ll try to get back to you here Thank you for saying hello and chatting with me and for watching this video take care
