Are you using a candle holder for the candles? If so, where do you get them?

Actually, I do have another question! I’m wondering how many ornaments are typical? My baby will be 2 in January… so 2 candles and the number 2… and there are 9 more holes…. Should I aim to fill all of them with ornaments? Also, do people generally reuse them every year or put them in a keepsake box for each child? I’m down to 13/ 14 that I can find to represent his interested, but at 10.00+ per ornament, it’s a little too steep for me to purchase all of the ones I like.

I think how each family uses their decoration rings is unique to each family.
There is really no "right" way to do this. You get to make it your own. 💗
In our family, my kids get 1 new ornament each birthday. When we set it up, all of their ornaments go on the ring with a candle for each year. This worked really well when they were little, but now I'm having the opposite problem to you, too many ornaments and candles! 😂
When my kids were 2, they each had 2 candles and two ornaments and lots of space for years to come. 🥰

Do you know where I can find the pegs at the bottom of the ornaments? I’d like to create a few of my own for my sons upcoming birthday. Also, do you happen to know on average the measurements of ornaments?

Hi, when I made the decorations, I began with a piece of dowel (1.5cm/ 0.6” thick) I used a saw to cut the base for the decorations (to 0.9cm / 0.35") then used a drill to create a hole in the centre, not all the way through, about halfway. I used twigs that I found in the garden as the stem. Each decoration is about 2" tall, (some a bit taller or smaller than this) including the base.
Hopefully this was helpful, please let me know if you have any more questions, I am more than happy to answer them!
