Most didn't even have a JV team because there wasn't enough interest in tennis. JV and varsity aren't set skill benchmarks, they're relative. Anyone athletic who has some interest in more competitive tennis could probably beat most of these kids after a few days of coaching, but none of that should bar them from getting out to have some fun.

Is this a joke? Like this is kind of a disgrace to the game of tennis. It looks like these kids do not even want to be there. They are messing around and not taking the game seriously. I understand that these kids are not Roger Federer level or anything and I’m not either. But still this is like a slap in the face to people who take this game seriously. When I play I leave everything I have out on the court and I give my all to every match that I play.

I play varsity one doubles at my high school as a freshman right now, and our freshman team(lowest) could smack them. How r these kids playing varsity singles, my mom who hasn’t played in 5 years could beat them
Honestly consistent ground stroke level they are jv at best their serves should not be allowed on the team I am not yet in HS and I still have a first serve well over 100mph and second is 80mph
Damn you do know that most Varsity players have a serve of like 75-80 miles per hour and the average JV player maybe hits 60 mph serve for the average, of course, there can be different levels of players depending on the school or the location. If your not in high school and serve that fast then congrats you will be playing D1 or pro because people who serve above 100 miles per hour and are still like 13 or maybe even 14 have some great potential
