One woman who went to one of DImash's concerts said that the whole stadium was shocked at the power of his voice and likened it to a religious experience. She said it took nearly 2 weeks to return to normal. This is why "Dears" (Dimash named his fans Dears) fly in from all over the world to see him.
Here is a "quote" i copied to post from a past reaction to Dimash:

In summary: The other singers, all the other singers, perform a song. Dimash executes himself."

This is such an interesting take on the phenomenon that is Dimash. The other singer I have been following with amazement is Angelina Jordan, and the summary, contrasting singers "performing" a song with Dimash "executing himself" made me think of what is often said about Angelina as well -- Others perform a song; Angelina becomes the song. She does not have the pyrotechnic range of Dimash, or the stage presence and drama that he brings. Her voice is, however, completely mesmerizing in a different way.

When he does the high notes with the guitar, he sounds like a guitar himself. I call that the guitar riff vocal and he does it at the end and in another song called "across endless dimensions". Just insane how he uses his voice like the instruments around him. Pure talent born from years of practice.

I think you need to skip a few. Considering the frequemcy of your reactions it will take a lifetime to get to 2020. It was wonderful to see how much you enjoyed this. I think you will enjoy his performance with Aida Garifullina (Ulisse) and Aida, Dimash and Lara Fabian (To amo cosi) from 2020 to hear his rich tenor voice
I second this. I’m patient, but I really want to see your hair catch fire during Sinful Passion or Know, especially the Kiev Live version. And your analysis of Ulisse would be invaluable.

@@nguyen2 as much as i love detailed reviews with some details that i didn't hear yet from dozens of other reactors, and as much as i like the idea of getting this in the "original" (chronological) order, as annoying it will be having to wait another year (assuming "monthly dimash") until 12 more performances from "the singer" are done so that "newer" songs can follow, like ogni pietra, sinful passion, unforgettable day, ti amo cosi, etc. thus please either have more frequent Dimash reactions, or do some of the "newer" songs in between.
Nah, there's no point skipping, every other RUclipsr just skips to Sinful Passion and Ogni P. after SOS!
All good things to those who wait! lol - Plus it would be interesting to hear Jess' insights on how he has progressed, e.g. techniques that he may have altered as he's developed into a better artist. Or if he's picked up bad habits!

it might also be interesting to compare (just compare for differences, not to find out which is best) several versions of the same song, eg for "adagio" the "original" (piano or orchestra) from around 1700, an old version by Lara and a new version by Dimash, or for "love is like a dream" the 25 year old original by a russian singer and the two versions by Lara and by Dimash (all three with the composer Igor at the piano). to further go down this rabbit hole, there are also older/original versions of ti amo cosi (with Lara and two other singers), of mademoiselle hyde (by Lara), or of sinful passion (original song by the band who play for Dimash's "cover").
And, this is why we Dears say that he is the best singer in the world, hands down. He's amazing!

Dear Frederick, we'll keep your memory in our hearts. What I like about Dimash in this performance is that his sense of the dramatic is very reminiscient of Freddie, while his technique is unique and doesn't intrude on the original in that regard.

Jess, I don't know how I didn't come across you earlier, as I've been Dimash addict (a "Dear") since April of 2019, when I became Dimashified upon stumbling onto SOS, in my RUclips music surfing. I'm really enjoying your reactions and analysis. I did a search of your channel and see you have not reacted to Sinful Passion which you HAVE to do! I know it seems impossible but it will blow your mind even more as he does some very unusual vocals which you'll love. Please do it! Also, you reacted to Autumn Strong, which is the Chinese version of a Japanese song called "Ikanaide". Dimash performs it, in PERFECT Japanese, in studio, in a video from the Tokyo Jazz Festival. Just search "Dimash Ikanaide Tokyo Jazz Festival" and you'll find it. I would love to get your reaction to that. Totally different setting than other Dimash videos and another killer emotional performance.
Yes you need to do Ogni Petri as an opera singer. You should also do Drunken Concubine & Diva Dance with Li Yugang because you get Dimash plus a Chinese opera singer in the same song. Headphone warning now Dimash hits a whistle note. I think it’s an E7 but not sure🤷♂️
I second Drunken Concubine/Diva Dance with Li Yugang! (F#7, I believe. 😉) I wasn’t a fan the first time I heard it but then I intentionally familiarized myself with Li and the Peking opera style and now that’s one of my top 5 all time favorite performances and I watch it daily.
