Yep--you are sooo right! I always chuckle because basically his reaction was scolding his own larynx, as in "I'M in control here--you must do what I say!!" And the rest is in the history books forever.❤😉😳😉❤
Thanks for confirming this. When I first saw this, I thought he missed that wave mic note, so he's gonna overcome that and do even better. The sign of an incredible in-the-moment musician. Did you notice after he hit the D8 (that he actually slid up to from a C#8) a D8 comes from somewhere? Possibly a whistle?
I applaud you for taking time and looking into where Kazakhstan is and taking an interest in the background of the song and the performance. Not many reactors bother to do it. Thank you🙏❤️
Dimash was nasked if the D8 was intentional, he said no. He meant to do slightly lower whistle but didn't hit it so he tried again and it went higher then slide higher still.
@@JustMyOpinion1010 too right. I commend you for your insight, but I suspect that your warning will be drowned out by the vast chorus of Dears who seem not only to have a compulsive need to reiterate their belief in Dimash's superlative abilities and status in the comments for every video he features in, but also rage against any opinions that they construe as being critical, in a manner that does a disservice to the man himself. For what its worth, I do very much enjoy and admire a lot of Dimash's work, and have spent more time listening to some of his songs than I care to admit. But I would never consider myself a Dear, because so many of the people who do are extremely off-putting. And I just know that the ones who tourettically spout that greatest-on-the-planet-of-all-time stuff are not particularly qualified to make such a judgement. Do such pronouncements make them feel important or knowledgeable? Musicians, who are instinctively collaborative, tend not to think in those terms, and I don't imagine Dimash himself is any different.
@Ozymandi_as I know Dimash's teacher very well and he will ever claim that one person is better than another, nor have I ever heard him criticise other singers. He does however acknowledge that Dimash is an extremely rare, once in a generation talent who will continue to experiment and shatter boundaries because his soul calls out for it. And that he feels very privileged to be a part of his life because he knows that he'll never have another student like him. If singing was a sport luke athletics, Dimash would no doubt hold world records in sprinting, marathons and all field events - but singing isn't a measurable sport. What we can agree on is that, whether you like his music or not, he is one of the greatest singers of our time.
@@Ozymandi_as I understand how much of a turn off it can be when some of Dimash's fans become irate w/ people who are not effusive in their praise & I agree w/ you.... but I have also seen many posts like yours who claim that's it's Only Dimash's unqualified fans who believe he is the best vocalist alive - I must tell you there is an Objective structure for Judging Vocal talent & based on this Many if not Most of the top Experts: Producers, Composers, Others Singers do in fact consider Dimash the best vocalist in the world based on his Technical abilities Many confuse this w/ Subjective opinions of what we all Like or Prefer..... I must admit I'm not a Fan of this type of Music but I have worked in this field for decades & before I even knew who Dimash was I attended a concert of his in NY in 2019 invited by a friend & I was flabbergasted by his ability..... Mind you I have seen every Major American / European Act live at some point from 1975 thru 2015 & he can do things from a Technical stand point that I have NEVER heard another vocalist too Here is a list of the 7 components used to Judge the ability level of what a Professional would consider to be important to reach an expert level to be a truly great vocalist & remember these categories apply to EVERY genre - that's why the list can be used as an Objective to Judge the Quality of Singers who sing in completely different genres 1.Breathing / Breath Control 2. Flexibility 3. Strength 4. Intonation 5. Range 6. Tone 7. Articulation Remember Singing / Vocals is a Progressive Talent - meaning the Harder one work's to become Proficient in these 7 Categories the Better vocalist one becomes - However, it's Not a Static Skill Level - translated - if Dimash stopped practicing his craft these skills would Quickly Diminish...... but I can tell you w/ great confidence that when Dimash is at his Very best & I would use the Concert he performed in his own country immediately after the singer show in 2017 is the Greatest Vocalist I have personally ever heard in my life & I would wager that Any singer in history would be downright intimidated to step on a stage w/ him his proficiency in these categories is down right freakish Forgive me for this being so long b/c I agree w/ your original point - I cringe when some Dimash fans become abusive & the man himself would certainly NEVER call himself the greatest in the world or Ever even think in those terms - b/c in truth it does not really matter..... it's about emotionally moving the audience & Dimash would say that himself - of course his ability to emotional move a crowd is also exceptional..... That being said as humans we are obsessed w/ classifying & we are witnessing something very different w/ Dimash & most experts agree w/ this so it's also important not to diminish what he's capable of b/c some of his fans can be obnoxious....... Cheers
This was another very enjoyable reaction and analysis. As usual, you already did your research and knew that Dimash wrote "Unforgettable Day" himself when he was still a teenager. This was at the annual Gakku TV open-air concert, with approximately 150,000 fans in attendance. Gakku TV is the first music channel in Kazakhstan that exclusively airs content produced in Kazakhstan, promoting Kazakh music, culture, and patriotism. During this 2017 live performance, Dimash erased any doubt that this was anything other than a true live performance by moving his mic quickly from side to side as he sang, reflected in the sound effect it created. Dimash set a record for the highest note ever sung in a live concert when he produced his now-famous D8. He not only hit a D8 but also did a glissando and held it for several seconds, even adding vibrato to it. It was a spontaneous attempt because he missed the slightly lower note he had initially aimed for immediately prior to when he was shaking the mic from side to side. Although, there are still the occasional trolls who claim that the note was pre-recorded or that it was an electronic glitch. Dimash is truly on another level. His voice seems limitless, and no matter how many performances of his you watch, he will always surprise you with something new. The Guinness Book of Records lists the highest vocal note ever produced by a male as an F8 (F#8, 5989 Hz), achieved by Amirhossein Molaei (Iran) in Tehran, Iran, on 31 July 2019. That was done in a studio, where the singer was just trying to hit the note and had been working on his whistle register for years to prepare for this attempt. He held the note briefly after a proper warm-up and several attempts.
You are the only person reacting to Dimash, who gives some background information so important to understand the cultural influences. I don't know if they showed it, he has three back vocalists.
Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than twelve(12) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from USA 🇺🇸 "Dears" Forever ❤️ Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. The band and backing vocals were there but on the big stage, and everyone is focused on him and where he is and the extensionstage for the singer to be near its fans!
Even though the D8 is incredible, my favorite part was 20:26 - 20:36 like you mentioned. I'd love to see you react to Dimash's performance of "Daybreak" from the Bastau concert. That version is incredible.
OMG long time no see you!! You had forgotten Dimash and we Dears for long, long time, I cant remember when was your last Dimash's reaction . Welcome back, I"m so glad you are here! My Suggestions are "STRANGER" 'WHEN I'VE GOT YOU' and 'OLIMPICO' Thank you so much for your reaction and wishing you all a blessed week
If we check other versions that Dimash sings of this song (which he wrote when he was younger), we can see a melisma or other very beautiful variations in this part of the "whistle". Here, singing on an open stage and with some discomfort in the return (we can see it several times by adjusting the headphones) we realize, in this specific part of the song, that he is going to do something and, not being able to do what he would like (Perhaps the interference of the audience or the inaccurate response of the sound, a fact that impaired his concentration), he then issued this wonderful and historic C#8 modulated to D8, with vibrato! In a more technical analysis, we can see that the notes sound dissonant, as they do not belong to the harmonic field of the tonality of the music. Still, it's a demo of technique! He must have instantly thought, "Since I couldn't do what I wanted, I'll improvise!" So he emitted the inconceivable, supernatural D8 (4698.64 Hz)! Of course, this is a joke to me, but it makes one wonder: What is Dimash's limit?
Vibrato? Do you mean the note wasn't very stable? His D8 is arresting, certainly, and by virtue of being so rare, I suppose, historic. But is it beautiful, really? D8 is far higher than we are accustomed to hearing even from instruments, let alone humans; and although I'm not a musician, that D8 did not sound particularly at home in the mix. Disconnected from the rest of his range, perhaps it's the only note he can produce up there. It's certainly the most unmusical note I've heard him sing, probably the _only_ unmusical note. Rather like a circus dog that can walk on its hind legs, it is a remarkable feat, but why do it at all? Did it serve any narrative purpose? Has he ever done it again? Is anyone clamouring to hear it? How does it rank against his other musical abilities and achievements? The highest note, I'd argue, is actually a footnote.
@@Ozymandi_as In fact, it sounds more like a sound effect than a musical note (like I said, it's not even part of the harmonic field of the song)! Dimash has already achieved notes almost as high (like F#7, in the song Druken Concunbine + Diva Dance, alongside Li Yugang)!
@@Ozymandi_as in fact, it is very difficult to add vibrato even to the notes of the head voice. and adding vibrato to the whistle is just crazy. you need to have incredible vocal control.
El Amor en Ti at Almaty concert, composed by Dimash, extremely dramatic powerful and original. Then his MV When I've Got You. I would also love to watch your reaction to War and Peace, an older piece also composed by Dimash. Greetings from Cape Town South Africa
You are very thorough. No one has ever explained anything about Kazakhstan. Thank you loved it! Thanks for the info about difficulty singing outside, his connection with his audience, composition etc.
Yes. First you think it`s a malfunction of the sound system of some sort, then you realize, it slides from a C8 to D8 with vibrato. Controlled. That`s Dimash. He said, it was actually a mistake, usually he hits whistle notes like F7 and G#7, done it many times. But went of the piano by accident.
Yup. If we listen carefully, it’s him, it is not the signal issue from the mic. We can hear that bend scoop up within that powerful whistle which last for 5 seconds and vibrato in it. So it is not from th3 technical issues. Most Other vocalists sing whistle in their 6th octave, Dimash sings head voice and some head mix in his 6th, his whistle is on 7th and 8th octaves. And his whistle sounds like a real true whistle blower.
He was young and gave us his highest note he has let us hear, not what he can do, he said he could go higher but will not because it doesn't add to his goal to make beautiful music. He anonymously gave all proceeds to charity and someone let that out, but it's in his nature to be kind, gracious and generous. I love him for who he is as much as what he can do.
Nope, he has never said that can sing higher. Dimash has never disclosed what his highest or lowest notes are, and probably never will. He just says it's different every day.
@@JustMyOpinion1010 Well when asked in interview what is your range he said yes, that about tells me all I need to know, however most singing is done from the 6th octave and down to far down you get into growls and fry, higher you get into whistle notes, so honestly his singing encompasses the whole range of norm.
@kenhamaker "his highest note that he let us hear, but not as high as he can do". Your claim is clear. He can sing higher. He has never confirmed nor deny this. So you have no basis to insinuate that he can go higher than this. I think it is quite irrelevant. There is a reason why he no longer uses these whistles.
@@Ozymandi_as I think that opera singers understand that Dimash is not a professional opera singer and that he never intended to sing this duet with strict opera techniques. I expect they will appreciate it for what it is. It sounds great regardless.
@@HaruNatsuAkiFuyu959not all opera singers understand. There are two opera singer reactors who criticized Dimash for not singing in correct opera technique
I have seen many many reactors, but your look at the things makes me see even more details about Dimash, about singing and stuff. Thank you! It was enjoyable reaction, full of knowledge ❤
great Reaction, Thank you so mutch... 👍👍👍 And if you open yourself to his music, Dimash grabs your heart and takes you into his world of music ... into a rollercoaster ride of emotions ... And for that I love him ... Greatings from Germay.. ❤❤❤
17:30 in other performances of this song, Dimash is using his whistle register from 7th octave. This time he also tried it but he was not able to produce proper whistle sound so he tried again and we have that famous C8-D8
Thank you for your interesting analysis and for researching so much about the song and Dimash's beloved Kazakhstan, where this festival with an audience of 150,000 waited for Dimash to sing several songs. He uses his incomparable range to serve whatever he is singing, and to share his emotions. I hope you continue to enjoy the greatest and most mysterious vocal artist of our time! ❤
Love your reactions! I just heard a singer called Inger Lise Hope sing Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and Adagio and I thought, "Soprano Notes needs to hear this voice!" Give a listen, even if you don't react, you're going to be so glad you did, Jess. :)
It was not a mistake but the highest whistle tone we heard from a human being! Dimash has demonstrated he pitch E6 and more in the past. This day, he was like a super human pitching a D8!
I LoVED you analysis, the amount of efforts you did to analyze the song is so amazing, thank you so much , oh how I love to see you analyzing ( the story of one sky ) live from almaty concert by Dimash , that will be fun.
Thank you for a great and educational reaction ❤ Dimash is a one-of-a kind singer and one cannot compare him with anyone else ❤ There were 150.000 people in this audience - the largest crowd he has ever performed in front of 😊 Looking forward to hearing your next reaction 🤩 Maybe my favorite Olimpico or his heart blood the Short movie/ Music video The Story of one Sky 🥰 You should also react to his latest song Smoke where there is both a performance video and a new mv ( tomorrow May 29th) 😄🎶 Greetings from Denmark 🇩🇰
When you say what if the mic went out before he went on to do the whistle at 15:28, what if THAT part at 15:25 - 15:27 was an even higher note than the whistle? Everybody focuses on the whistle but not the notes just before that. I can imagine dogs a kilometer away looking around like, what was that? Thoughts? Love your videos by the way!
This performance is truly special; he has sung this song multiple times after this concert, but that whistle tone was truly unforgettable. And the crowd actually sung it for him recently, Di looked very happy and moved by it 💖
Georgia Brown has the record high of G10 but it wasn't in a performance, I think Dimash likely set the record of high note in live performance. Again connected with Vibrato, without a doubt he has more range if he wanted to do it.
Dimash does the mic shake in many performances it makes it very obvious he is singing live and not a recording it has nothing to do with the D8. He loves to have his Dears sing this song as it is dedicated to us and it is a sign of respect and love that we sing in his language.
Jess noticed that there was something not quite right about the moment, because Dimash cuts the note short. And the comment from @mr1 d44ever2 above, which refers to an interview where Dimash himself discusses this very moment, suggests that she was right. Dimash is unique in so many ways, but in one respect, at least, he is like every other live performer: occasionally things do not go exactly as planned on stage, and he has to improvise an alternative. As he did here with great aplomb. Jess remarking a moment like this is merely an observation, and a statement of fact. It's not a criticism. Everyone makes mistakes. They are part of the creative process, they are the source of learning, and sometimes they are beautiful in themselves. Mistakes are human. Dimash is human. Therefore Dimash makes mistakes. Fewer than other people, perhaps, but still some. Also, the Dears are human, and they make mistakes too. One of which is being excessively fragile to anything that is perceived as critism of Dimash; and, in consequence, over-zealously 'defending' him, in ways that are unnecessary, and even, at times, absurd. I mean, please tell me where did Jess criticise Dimash, a Kazakh citizen, for singing a song he'd written in Kazakh, in Kazakh, to a Kazakh audience in Kazakhstan? Because she clearly upset you. I heard her say she doesn't speak Kazakh herself, just like 7,980 million other people on the planet. If someone can't sing along to his lyrics in Kazakh, does that mean they don't love and respect him enough? The Dears treat him like some precious yet delicate golden boy, praised to the heavens by his doting mother and aunties, who will not have a word said against him, infer criticism where none is intended, and fear that he might get roughed up by the other kids if they are not vigilant in protecting him. Except that he's a grown 30 year old man who doesn't need to be molly-coddled. If you really love him, treat him like an adult human being.
Unbelievable!! Yesterday I was thinking will she post a Dimash reaction because its been a while and today you post one. I always enjoy your review of Dimash's work and hope to see more. Thanks for your insightfull reaction and analysis. Cheers!!!!
Ahhhh!!! I told you he was off the scales! LOL… OK….onto the next song… Sinful Passion - not sure if you’ve covered it? I think he holds for 40+ seconds…??? And it wasn’t one note… of course he does it Dimash style :)
Could you do a reaction on one or some of the Eiem Mountain Music Festival songs please? It is an amazing concert taking place in the pouring rain. Apparently every one else performing backed off but Dimash said his Dears had been waiting so long he had to go on. It was epic. Not only did Dimash ace it against all odds but the atmosphere was so amazing. If you can’t react to it I do recommend you to watch it, I’m sure you will really appreciate it. By the way management practically pulled him off stage after six songs - you could tell he didn’t want to go, he was loving it?
This is the only mistake I have seen Dimash make in performance, the note was supposed to be F7# or G7# it didn't come out so he did it again and that C#8 to D8 came out, had this not of happened we would never of known he could reach into the 8th Octave and I know he can go higher, how much, only he knows and I doubt he will ever show it. By the way if ypu listen carefully you can tell its connected with vibrato which generally whistle notes are not, that makes it extra impressive to me. The microphone 🎤 had no problems just the note didn't come out as he planned for it. This is a rare mistake but even his mistake became extraordinary.
He makes some mistakes but is simply professional and trained enough to either correct or hide it. If you go to lots of concerts you'll be aware of this. I agree though that he is very consistent. Earlier you said that Dimash said he can sing higher, but I beg to differ. He has never disclosed his true range, and I doubt that he ever will. He just says it's different every day, which is true. Every singer will tell you that. Bottom line is that we shouldn't care for the reason he stated, and you shared.
Welcome back to Dimash! He has grown SO MUCH! Your next song should be “A Story of One Sky. The MV, AND the live performance in Almaty. Both are necessary! Thanks so much!❤
He shakes the microphone to prove that he is not lip-syncing. The second time he did it, most believe that no sound came out of him that time. The note is supposed to be a D8.
Your analysis are profound, insigthful, a real treat. Thank you! I have a curiosity ( that could result in something very good for you): how do you listen to music? Do you have a listening seat, with a stereo set up in a way to generate a sound stage? Are you aware of audiophile stuff? Im asking because i only found out about it about an year ago, and it was a big thing for me.
The microphone did not malfunction, he is just testing the whistle tone, but at a really low volume to see if his voice is fit enough to do it fully and once he confirms, he goes for the full D8. If you up the volume and listen closely, you can hear the faint whistle tone.
At Dimash’s concerts, he has his own band and singers on stage with him and introduces them, At Dubai the female backing singer came forward and sung while Dimash went to change. Also, at another, the male singer came out and sang a folk song while Dimash played piano. He usually thanks individual musicians like the Kobyz player or dombra players. He shares the glory as he knows everyone is contributing to the performance.
Dimash wrote this song when he was 19 years old. The D8 was the result of some unknown mistake, so he did the D8. Dimash 2023-Vocal range: Growls (vocal fry): G0-G1 Vocal Fry: G#1 - D2 Chest voice: E2-C#5 Mixed voice: D5-C6 Head voice: C#6 - F#6 Whistle: E7-D8 Natural range: E2 - F#6 4.2 octaves *Full range: G0 - D8 7.7 octaves To put it in context: He sings lower than bass in Opera. The lowest note is usually C2....and higher longer sustained whistle note. Total Dimash range is G0-D8. By the way, a D8 is a couple of keys past the high end of a piano. And, I believe his Vocal Fry is off the low end of the keyboard. If you haven't yet seen this Dimash performance, you should: Dimash Qudaibergen, Lara Fabian, Aida Garifullina - Ti amo cosi ruclips.net/video/XaQFfqC3lnU/видео.html The abobe was at a birthday party for Igor Krutoy. Anyone who listens to a Dimash song thinks there are two or three other people on stage singing different parts of the same song. I think you'll find the song "Know" from Dimash's New Wave concert (he wears a white suit) very interesting musically. Dimash is joined on stage by the famous Russian composer the amazingly talented Igor Krutoy. Igor came out of semi-retirement especially to work with Dimash, he is a multi billionaire and they have no contract and have a very special relationship.
Love your reviews....and your analysis....Dimash has a duet with Chante Moore and his new song/video an 1800's famous duet Flower.....in the beginning...... Enjoy 🌺🌺😊 And of course his rendition of Ave Maria..... priceless
This was a super interesting analysis, thank you for sharing your expertise with us! Just one tiny thing of note: Maybe zoom out/move the camera back a little bit more? A lot of this video is staring at your corner with you barely in frame because you are far too close and in the left corner. It would just compliment the super interesting analysis of everything to not have the distraction of the framing being off so often. If it's not possible due to space though, no worries, it doesn't take away how much technical info you give us, which is the more important part!

This is a world record. Nobody has ever sung this high note in a live performance (captured on video for eternity). And that D8 ! HE JUST WENT OFF THE PIANO!! Dimash wrote this song when he was 19 years old and the lyrics were written by Oral Baissengir, of course in Kazakh.
Yup, that right there was the infamous D8. 🎉🎉🎉. I’m thinking he waved the mic to prove it was him and it was live (not lip sync). Great analysis/reaction! I’m really enjoying his more recent videos-Smoke and When I’ve Got You. Very different from his early material but super entertaining.
Haha, Dimash is a master of mic control so he don't make mistakes. Everyone can make that effect. The point is that the mic has to be to far away and back to create that effect, you can do that to. Dimash could not be heard because he couldn't do the whistle note the first time. But he could with the second try. That was a D8 and that is of the piano. The highest note ever in a live performance but not the highest note ever. A woman named Georgia Brown can hit a G10 but not in a live performance/song. ruclips.net/video/Ia57VfDaESw/видео.html
In an interview, Dimash said he missed the high note on the second mic wave. So he improvised and attempted an even higher note than planned.
Yes, this is i deed correct. I think he just got frustrated and instead of backing off, as others would, he did a crazy thing.
The craziest thing is that He doesn’t even give value to high notes. Like You get afraid from singers who are humble.
Which interview? Can you Link it?
I applaud you for taking time and looking into where Kazakhstan is and taking an interest in the background of the song and the performance. Not many reactors bother to do it. Thank you🙏❤️
Dimash was nasked if the D8 was intentional, he said no. He meant to do slightly lower whistle but didn't hit it so he tried again and it went higher then slide higher still.
Great reaction. He is singing to the Dears! So sweet.
Dimash o melhor entre os melhores, saudações do BRASIL 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷❤
Dimash is currently the best male singer on planet Earth, that's not in dispute. Cheers from Hungary guys! 🤞😎
Your subjective opinion. As Dears we should guard against stating our sentiments as fact. It is off-putting to non-fans
I would say ever.
@@Ozymandi_as I understand how much of a turn off it can be when some of Dimash's fans become irate w/ people who are not effusive in their praise & I agree w/ you.... but I have also seen many posts like yours who claim that's it's Only Dimash's unqualified fans who believe he is the best vocalist alive - I must tell you there is an Objective structure for Judging Vocal talent & based on this Many if not Most of the top Experts: Producers, Composers, Others Singers do in fact consider Dimash the best vocalist in the world based on his Technical abilities
Many confuse this w/ Subjective opinions of what we all Like or Prefer..... I must admit I'm not a Fan of this type of Music but I have worked in this field for decades & before I even knew who Dimash was I attended a concert of his in NY in 2019 invited by a friend & I was flabbergasted by his ability..... Mind you I have seen every Major American / European Act live at some point from 1975 thru 2015 & he can do things from a Technical stand point that I have NEVER heard another vocalist too
Here is a list of the 7 components used to Judge the ability level of what a Professional would consider to be important to reach an expert level to be a truly great vocalist & remember these categories apply to EVERY genre - that's why the list can be used as an Objective to Judge the Quality of Singers who sing in completely different genres
1.Breathing / Breath Control
2. Flexibility
3. Strength
4. Intonation
5. Range
6. Tone
7. Articulation
Remember Singing / Vocals is a Progressive Talent - meaning the Harder one work's to become Proficient in these 7 Categories the Better vocalist one becomes - However, it's Not a Static Skill Level - translated - if Dimash stopped practicing his craft these skills would Quickly Diminish...... but I can tell you w/ great confidence that when Dimash is at his Very best & I would use the Concert he performed in his own country immediately after the singer show in 2017 is the Greatest Vocalist I have personally ever heard in my life & I would wager that Any singer in history would be downright intimidated to step on a stage w/ him his proficiency in these categories is down right freakish
Forgive me for this being so long b/c I agree w/ your original point - I cringe when some Dimash fans become abusive & the man himself would certainly NEVER call himself the greatest in the world or Ever even think in those terms - b/c in truth it does not really matter..... it's about emotionally moving the audience & Dimash would say that himself - of course his ability to emotional move a crowd is also exceptional.....
That being said as humans we are obsessed w/ classifying & we are witnessing something very different w/ Dimash & most experts agree w/ this so it's also important not to diminish what he's capable of b/c some of his fans can be obnoxious....... Cheers
He recently ( late 2023 ) did a duet with Placido Domingo. The Pearl Fisher's Duet.
" Au fond du Temple Saint "
So glad to see you reacting to Dimash again. So much to catch up on! I saw him live in Budapest a few weeks ago. Unbelievable!
You are the only person reacting to Dimash, who gives some background information so important to understand the cultural influences. I don't know if they showed it, he has three back vocalists.
Éstas escuchando al único cantante qué llego a mi corazón lo amo esa voz es lo más es un orgullo ser dears por siempre Di 🥹👑🇰🇿😏💘👌🏻😘🥰💘🇵🇾🫶🏻🌹💐🤗
You are going to be shocked once again! 😀
Su famoso D8 es un extraterreste nuestro querido Dimash ❤🇦🇷👏 saludos desde Argentina
D8 COMPLETO VIBRATO!!!👽👽👽👽
Right???
Where do you think his limit is?
Спасибо дорогая за реакцию дала вспомнить историю. Нет микрофон не отключился. Просто микрофон не поддержал звук. Дельфины точно слышали бы.
Y0U ARE TRULY ONE OF A KIND DONT EVER CHANGE DARLiN❤
aA audience of 150,000 beings, that is where someone achieved live on stage and hit a D8 off the piano!
DIMASH estudia música desde que nació!!! 😅 Tiene talento estudio y amor por lo que hace por eso somos sus Dears ❤❤❤❤🇺🇾❤️💯🥰✨🥰🥰🥰🥰👏👏👏
The band and backing vocals were there but on the big stage, and everyone is focused on him and where he is and the extensionstage for the singer to be near its fans!
Hi from Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬! Thanks for your reaction!D8 -the Best vocal voice 👍👏
Wow One of the best reaction ever. Subscribe.
He did a C8/D8 vibrato.😊
HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY TO YOU AND YOU'RES DARLIN❤
Happy Memorial Day Eddie!
He has done whistle notes before. There is an old tune from Kazakh TV when he was around 15 among others.
As an opera singer, it would be wonderful if you could react to Dimash singing a duet with Placido Domingo. I think you will truly appreciate it.
Very detailed analysis. The most complete I have seen to dat3. Totally appreciate it
You stepped up your game with an octave. Lots of work and very unique!
Loved You explanation about his country
Great reaction to the best singer in the world.
MEU DEUS, finalmente voltou com reações ao Dimash. Amo suas análises. Por favor, reaja a mais performances dele. 🇧🇷
Since you are an opera singer, You need to checkout his duet with placido domingo next!
To an opera singer, I suspect it's not quite as wonderful as people seem to think.
One of the only times Dimash makes a "mistake" and then throws in the D8 to recorrect
He missed the whistle in Singer too. He makes mistakes like everyone else.
❤❤❤
I have seen many many reactors, but your look at the things makes me see even more details about Dimash, about singing and stuff. Thank you! It was enjoyable reaction, full of knowledge ❤
My pleasure 😊
great Reaction, Thank you so mutch... 👍👍👍
And if you open yourself to his music, Dimash grabs your heart and takes you into his world of music ... into a rollercoaster ride of emotions ...
And for that I love him ... Greatings from Germay.. ❤❤❤
17:30 in other performances of this song, Dimash is using his whistle register from 7th octave. This time he also tried it but he was not able to produce proper whistle sound so he tried again and we have that famous C8-D8
‼️Dimash - Ave Maria ‼️
Tx for the reaction, i love your strat on the back wall
Thank you for your interesting analysis and for researching so much about the song and Dimash's beloved Kazakhstan, where this festival with an audience of 150,000 waited for Dimash to sing several songs. He uses his incomparable range to serve whatever he is singing, and to share his emotions. I hope you continue to enjoy the greatest and most mysterious vocal artist of our time! ❤
Please react to ogni pietro. It's the video that starts off with the crowd waving neon colored noodles. I have been waiting a long time for this
She'll have to search for OLIMPICO. It was only known as Ogni Pietra right at the start.
Love your reactions! I just heard a singer called Inger Lise Hope sing Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and Adagio and I thought, "Soprano Notes needs to hear this voice!" Give a listen, even if you don't react, you're going to be so glad you did, Jess. :)
Любимый! Единственный и неповторимый Димаш!
Люблю его! Сильно при сильно! 🫶🏼🇷🇺 Сижу и пересматриваю его недавний концерт в Стамбуле 😇
It was not a mistake but the highest whistle tone we heard from a human being! Dimash has demonstrated he pitch E6 and more in the past. This day, he was like a super human pitching a D8!
Indeed it wasn’t a mistake, but it also wasn’t intentional..which makes it crazier 😂
I LoVED you analysis, the amount of efforts you did to analyze the song is so amazing, thank you so much , oh how I love to see you analyzing ( the story of one sky ) live from almaty concert by Dimash , that will be fun.
Thank you for a great and educational reaction ❤ Dimash is a one-of-a kind singer and one cannot compare him with anyone else ❤ There were 150.000 people in this audience - the largest crowd he has ever performed in front of 😊
Looking forward to hearing your next reaction 🤩 Maybe my favorite Olimpico or his heart blood the Short movie/ Music video The Story of one Sky 🥰 You should also react to his latest song Smoke where there is both a performance video and a new mv ( tomorrow May 29th) 😄🎶
Greetings from Denmark 🇩🇰
Love the new format of your video. Great researched information!
That was a very thorough review of many factors beautiful Jess.
This performance is truly special; he has sung this song multiple times after this concert, but that whistle tone was truly unforgettable. And the crowd actually sung it for him recently, Di looked very happy and moved by it 💖
Great reaction as always! You definitely need to see him live! 😀
Georgia Brown has the record high of G10 but it wasn't in a performance, I think Dimash likely set the record of high note in live performance. Again connected with Vibrato, without a doubt he has more range if he wanted to do it.
Dimash does the mic shake in many performances it makes it very obvious he is singing
live and not a recording it has nothing to do with the D8.
Yep.
😊❤ amazing
Este tema cantado a dúo con Terry Lin es tremendoooo tbn. Amo ésta música y al Dimash que es la MÚSICA HECHA HOMBRE.
Unbelievable!! Yesterday I was thinking will she post a Dimash reaction because its been a while and today you post one. I always enjoy your review of Dimash's work and hope to see more. Thanks for your insightfull reaction and analysis. Cheers!!!!
Finally!!! Thanks for reacting to one of my fav. Songs!!!
Ahhhh!!! I told you he was off the scales! LOL… OK….onto the next song… Sinful Passion - not sure if you’ve covered it? I think he holds for 40+ seconds…??? And it wasn’t one note… of course he does it Dimash style :)
Great analysis video. Thank you.
THANK YOU for your great, thoughtful reaction! More Dimash, please?
Jess is back with another Dimash! 💯
Then I love it when you go into teaching and analytical mode!!
I love love love the way you analyzed this piece. Thank you.
As we all know, Dimash is an alien, so i think he called home...
Hello!
@@JustMyOpinion1010unfortunately I have not had the opportunity to go to a concert but I sure would love too ❤
Wonderful analysis!!! Thank you!!!
Welcome back to Dimash! He has grown SO MUCH! Your next song should be “A Story of One Sky. The MV, AND the live performance in Almaty. Both are necessary! Thanks so much!❤
Welcome back to Dimash ❤❤❤
He shakes the microphone to prove that he is not lip-syncing. The second time he did it, most believe that no sound came out of him that time. The note is supposed to be a D8.
Dimash's name, translated to English, means "God given" or gift from God." Of that I have no doubt.
Dimash 2023-Vocal range: Growls (vocal fry): G0-G1
Vocal Fry: G#1 - D2
Chest voice: E2-C#5
Mixed voice: D5-C6
Head voice: C#6 - F#6
Whistle: E7-D8
Natural range: E2 - F#6 4.2 octaves
*Full range: G0 - D8 7.7 octaves
To put it in context:
He sings lower than bass in Opera. The lowest note is usually C2....and higher longer sustained whistle note.
Total Dimash range is G0-D8. By the way, a D8 is a couple of keys past the high end of a piano. And, I believe his Vocal Fry is off the low end of the keyboard.

Dimash Olimpico-Ogni pietra! ✌️
Dimash - The Story Of One Sky.
Or Dimash - Omir.
Ha, ha, ha. I just love the initial reaction to the D8 notes. No not a mic malfunction! Ah, you’re assuming he is human then! 🤣😂😅
Love your reviews....and your analysis....Dimash has a duet with Chante Moore and his new song/video an 1800's famous duet Flower.....in the beginning...... Enjoy 🌺🌺😊 And of course his rendition of Ave Maria..... priceless
Love love love your reaction❤ thank you
Feedback doesn't have vibrato😊 it's real.
Смотрю на эту шоколадную красавицу, а в голове только одна мысль, неужели внизу у нее тоже зубы?)))
Yes man you are right. Before the the wistle ton that is a very high not only dogs can heer
👉 Dimash composed “Unforgettable Day” as he was 19 ys. He sings in his mother tongue Kazakh. Oral Baissengir (father of a friend of Dimash) wrote the lyrics. He also wrote the lyrics to 'Aqquym / My Swan'- Official MV - ruclips.net/video/lK46Lv1th_I/видео.html (subt.) and co-wrote the lyrics to 'Qairan Elim'- Official MV - ruclips.net/video/K45qdRAIWaM/видео.html
A Dear opined that Dimash initially sings an ultrasound 🤣 I think, then he remembers that we humans can’t hear it and gifted us a D8 (out of piano) and he held it for “endless” long 5 seconds. This is a world record. Nobody has ever sung this high note in a live performance (captured on video for eternity). The shaking of the microphone is not only a cool effect, but also shows that he is singing live (is often doubted).
This event was the 3rd Open Air Music Festival organized by Gakku TV on September 16, 2017 in Almaty, Kazakhstan - (2015 - 40,000 spectators, 2016 (1000 years of Almaty) - 90,000 spectators.
2017 - Dimash was announced and 150,000 came. A Kazakh Dear wrote, the city center was completely paralyzed because of the many people. The concert lasted 6 hours. Dimash sang 5 songs.

Wait til ya see his Stranger and Sinful Passion!
Dimash d8
Haha, Dimash is a master of mic control so he don't make mistakes. Everyone can make that effect. The point is that the mic has to be to far away and back to create that effect, you can do that to. Dimash could not be heard because he couldn't do the whistle note the first time. But he could with the second try. That was a D8 and that is of the piano. The highest note ever in a live performance but not the highest note ever. A woman named Georgia Brown can hit a G10 but not in a live performance/song.
