Boom Box Berlitz: Midnight in Moscow

Here is a classic (BUT DISTRESSED)1980's Boom Box for all you hippity-hop-selfs out there.
This set combines the AM/FM Radio and Cassette Player (remember those?) with a built-in microphone that lets you record over the radio while you're jammin'!
Big Woofer and Little Tweeter for those deep low and squeaky highs.
The antenna (which usually is missing) is intact.
Takes five "D" size batteries or runs via D/C plugin operation.
The tape plays fine, but the radio NEED HELP!
I'm not sure if I'm missing something, but even though the tape plays and has great sound, for some reason the RADIO WILL NOT TUNE INTO any stations. It has some low static, but no response to tuning. Must be off its track and shouldn't take a genius to figure out.
