Official Judgement: Round #1: Illmaculate (Both spit mostly filler but Mac edged it with a little more consistency) Round #2: Tony D (Tony clowning on Mac's style and spit some good bars, Mac with more filler mostly) Round #3: Illmaculate (Mac got crazy slept on by the crowd this round, he spit some real nice shit, Tony D was boring me with filler and lame jokes) Winner: Illmaculate 2-1
Illmac is truly a fucking amazing lyricist. its like the words he uses while rapping were ment to be put together lol he always stays on multiple, intricate as hell, perfectly structured scheems, yet it seems as if he's just naturally talking, making perfect sense while explaining some hella complex angle... Its beyond impressive
Too many dont flop supporters dickriding tony d and arkaic. both brits lost to Illmaculate, but Arkaic did much better than Tony D. Stop judging battles on crowd reaction, that's biased as shit. If you dont understand the bar, google it, like your mans oshea says. Illmac vs Tony, 3-0 Illmac, mostly cause Tony said bars over jokes, then proceeded to tell mostly jokes all 3 rounds and it was basics. Arkaic vs Illmac, 2-1 Illmac, the lines were almost equal(Illmac had the edge slightly), but Arkaic delivery was edgey and his flow was a little sloppy.
i'm gonna go out and say this, been watching for the past couple of months and caught up on all the battles pretty much, i've gotta say, tony D could possibly be don't flops pro green... his flips, schemes and simplicity of punches are second to none, illmac always brings it hard i've got big love for illmac's ability dude isn't a pushover the real winners here were the peoiple cause this was one of the best battles i've seen
This was a setup to build Tony D's name, nothing more. ILLmac could have had the best performance of all-time and still would not of been given the decision.
***** Then why is it judged? What other international battlers that are the caliber of illmac go to Don't Flop and have their battles judged these days?
stop with the UK vs USA shit. Judge by how they did this battle, and definitely not crowd reaction because this crowd was the most biased I have seen in a rap battle ever. First battle was close, might give it to Tony D (and I am a yank). Round 2 was easy Illmac until Tony D started making fun of Illmac's style made it real close still Illmac held to the 2nd round. Typing this while I watch so theres no bias look like its on round 3: Illmac killed it Tony D was trash in round 3 (I love how mac was like "that was better than its reaction") If you wanna give round 2 to D its Tony D 2-1 If you wanna give round 2 to Illmac its Illmac 2-1 for me its Illmac, damn I am such a bloody yank illmac dick rider..(just to get that out of the way)
***** Probably true, honestly though I have only seen a couple UK peeps battling here and they got pretty good crowd reaction and with the heavy accents sometimes its hard to get the punchlines, and I have seen them treated with respect, I don't have a big enough sampling though. Either way the point is it shouldn't matter where you are, or the crowd reaction that people judge by because like you said crowds can be biased, people need to analyze and find the punches themselves. So I agree with you, not saying its not a problem here too, just a problem.
Illmac's my favorite battle rapper of all-time. Far as i'm concerned, he has the deadliest pen game today but in this battle, he was so generic. He had a great flow and all but that's it. He didn't really have substance behind his words
True. Tony's two multiple syllabic rhyming and simple punchlines and structures just murdered Illmac with his five syllable rhyming and punches built up with 6 bar rhymes that no one does. You are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO right in this
"So it's potent, they red hot. I'm throwing them headshots, that'll leave Illmac's wig like Joleon Lescott." WOW. Unreal bar, mad respect to Tony D, one of my favorite Don't Flop spitters. Big up Don't Flop all the way from east coast of Canada, my favorite rap battle league. Just hope I can make it out to the U.K. to catch an event sometime!
Good post. I think it's weak when a rapper relies to heavily on crowd reactions anyway. I don't think Illmac's lines were slept on; I think they just didn't hit with the same impact as Tony D's lines. Tony D's lines were more clever, iMO, and he won this battle fair and square. Some people can't seem to accept the fact that other rappers sometimes come better than their hero.
Don't Flop is going through a transition and gaining alot of new fans who haven't watched battle rap before, and only watch Don't Flop. This woulda seemed alot less bias around the Blood In The Water era when it was all heads in the crowd, but it is what it is.
Sick battle, agree with what Stig said, crowd were sleeping on Illmac's bars, but a lot of it was more on the lines of 'I'm better than you because' rather than 'you're shit because' if that makes sense lol....Illmac is a legend though. Hopefully this should prove that Tony needs more international clashes.
2nd time i've watched this, yeah, fair enough the crowd are pretty quiet for alot of illmac's bars. BUT, tony still takes it, dudes become top tier. serious shit Tony D vs Matter for a shot at the DF title.DO THISSSSSSS!!!
I never usually watch a battle more than once and if i do its about a half a year or so later. I have watched this battle 5 times now. I realy like this one and i assumed when i was about to first watch it that Illmaculate would win. Tony D defo won this hands down and he came with some great bars and word play.
ive no even watched this yet, now this is what a fucking battle should be like man, these 2 guys are top tier battle rappers...i cant wait to watch this shit man!!!! lmao first time ive made a comment before watching lol tony d is awesome and illmac is legend man!!!
Tony D is one of the most entertaining British battlers to watch, always comes with some quality bars, I agree though that sometimes the crowd seemed to hold off a bit on the reactions to Illmac's bars, but sometimes that happens it isn't the end of the world and I don't think it affected the decision. Top clash though, keep them coming!
I wonder if some of the Americans are complaining because they may not get all of the cultural references. To give props to Eurgh, he always taylors his references depending on the crowd. I'm thinking the VAT on hot food reference for example.
Crowd definitely slept on Illmac, that "pulling the ladder from underneath you" bar was crazy! In my opinion though there is definitely different styles of battle rap in the UK and US, the Americans go for harder bars and are more subliminal, or at least more insider jokes, whereas here in the UK its more jokes and word-play so the crowd can get on board more even if they are not devout battle fans, or maybe just not used to the US style as much... Still, Tony D all day!!
I can't get over anybody thinking Tony D won. Listen to the lyrics dudes. Illmac's whole first round went over everybody's heads. "Every rebuttal doesn't sit right." was fucking nuts.
Jon...you post on EVERY VIDEO even the old ones just to argue and debate. Do you use the DF forums? Kinda interested in what your username is on there...
One of the best battles so far. It's a shame the crowd slept on a lot of Illmac's bars but it's not like Tony D got a cheap win. I'm glad Eurgh is giving Tony D some international battles as he's the best UK battler in the Don't Flop league in my opinion.
the event over ran, trust me the vibe wasnt the best as everyone was seriously mashed/tired. we waited outside in the queue for 2 hours. everyone was drained by the time this was on. it was 2 hours later than scheduled and the vibe of the crowed reflected that. the vibe early on was buzzing but it died to be fair. this battle was the reason i traveled down from brum, but by the time it was on i was too mashed.
Illmaculate = Intricately articulate wordplay filled rhyme-schemes, most of which could have been aimed at anyone. Tony D = More direct, easier to follow but equally articulate wordplay filled rhyme-schemes that were ALL aimed at this particular opponent. I've met Illmac, he's a safe dude, I've got The Green Tape, it's amazing. But Tony D won this battle no doubt.
tony d's best bar, by your admission, is a line about how he'll steal illmac's weed. we both know that's just words. meanwhile illmac was rapping about how he's on tour and he's just doing the battle to help out tony d. he rapped about how he's ACTUALLY put in work over the last (however many) years to EARN where he's at. once again, tony d did well. but, i think illmac slightly edged it. but, that's only because i'm going off these categories: flow, lyrics, presence, and authenticity.
Yup, San Diego, California born and raised. Well I'm a fan of and watch some older UK sitcoms like SPACED and Black Books so maybe I picked up the lingo from there. Shite is good. It's a good word. Got to give a shout out to Simon Pegg for that!
I don't care what anyone says. I value illmac as a rapper more than any other rapper, hands down. He's the only one who doesn't just use "problems in the industry" as a way to win. He goes deep in that philosophy shit, and can still kill em' on the surface. Most people just look at the battle on face. I don't just say it cause I'm from Portland, but he is uniquely lyrical and good with material.
Look, I get it. Root for your hometown hero, no matter what. No one's telling to you to do anything differently. But the point is, if I were to show this battle to 100 seasoned battle rappers and judges from all different leagues, and get a consensus on who won, there's absolutely no question that the vast majority of them would say Illmaculate won... Tony D had at least a couple stumbles, and his bars were largely unoriginal. He's not bad but he's just not all the level that Illmaculate is.
Real talk MA was on point, illmac was mostly talking about himself and the league when hes suppose to diss Tony. Tony killed it man always kills it! Hopefully he gets another international battle with Arcane or so
I don't care what anyone say Tony D did take this one, obviously Americans won't get some of the references Tony D made like the ''If its Tony you blaze with, i'll wait until your stoned and then take it, its government mandate, on some tax Greg when his baked shit'', American's wont know the UK government was gonna put a tax on pasty's... that was my best bar of the battle. Tony D is a beast!
the judges recognised and considered crowd reaction and still gave tony the W. if the crowd cast the vote you'd have a point, but the judges were clearly objective. Only DR here is you
it's too bad the crowd didn't show ill much love cuz he def showed tony respect .. it's good to see two emcees who have respect for one another clash , and I'm sure they got drunk together afterwards n blazed a nice blunt or ten , big ups
No actually I'm just a Canadian battle rap fan that hates it when the battle is ruined because of the crowd's bias toward the home favourite. I can tell by your word choices that you are British and it looks like you would have fit in quite well with this crowd.
The crowd reaction can have such a huge effect on the impression you get from a battle. I thought Illmac was better but he got no love from the crowd.
"Till he comes to my country and gets this hype, any rebuttal doesn't sit right".
Illmac won but that fat joe mini me bar was on point as fuck lolol
illmac got slept on in this battle
yeah i slept on him through boredom
dark one you must need the crowd to help your reaction
he was nice , im sure he still can be. but his delivery is killing his bars. even now 5 months after your comment he still uses that flow
Official Judgement:
Round #1: Illmaculate (Both spit mostly filler but Mac edged it with a little more consistency)
Round #2: Tony D (Tony clowning on Mac's style and spit some good bars, Mac with more filler mostly)
Round #3: Illmaculate (Mac got crazy slept on by the crowd this round, he spit some real nice shit, Tony D was boring me with filler and lame jokes)
Winner: Illmaculate 2-1
filler? lol that's false
i guess breaking down your opponent is just called filler now? typical battle rap kid just looking for punchlines
Tony defo took the 1st round easy
Tony: "Leave you buried in concrete like a Mafia hit"
Crowd: "Ooooooooooh, God Damn!"
Me: -__-
This crowd gassed Tony D up. WTF?
+Nick Elliott that does help
Illmac is truly a fucking amazing lyricist. its like the words he uses while rapping were ment to be put together lol he always stays on multiple, intricate as hell, perfectly structured scheems, yet it seems as if he's just naturally talking, making perfect sense while explaining some hella complex angle... Its beyond impressive
illmac got him they really are biased over there tony is good but naw 2-1 illmac
Every Tony D gets reaction for every line he could literally say "carrot sticks" and the crowd would react.
Too many dont flop supporters dickriding tony d and arkaic. both brits lost to Illmaculate, but Arkaic did much better than Tony D. Stop judging battles on crowd reaction, that's biased as shit. Facts. Even two years ago I see you woke. Salute 💯

I wa always open-minded
Then after Day it became completely open😂
i'm gonna go out and say this, been watching for the past couple of months and caught up on all the battles pretty much, i've gotta say, tony D could possibly be don't flops pro green... his flips, schemes and simplicity of punches are second to none, illmac always brings it hard i've got big love for illmac's ability dude isn't a pushover the real winners here were the peoiple cause this was one of the best battles i've seen
biased crowd. you could damn near hear crickets when illmac was rapping, and he wasn't whack what so ever.
Settled debts with a Shylock. What a fucking sick bar.
This was a setup to build Tony D's name, nothing more.
ILLmac could have had the best performance of all-time and still would not of been given the decision.
***** Then why is it judged? What other international battlers that are the caliber of illmac go to Don't Flop and have their battles judged these days?
came back to re-watch some classics.
Illmac is damn smart though.
Alot closer than i thought it was at the time! Tone is a beast thou and thoroughly deserved the win!!
stop with the UK vs USA shit. Judge by how they did this battle, and definitely not crowd reaction because this crowd was the most biased I have seen in a rap battle ever. If you wanna give round 2 to D its Tony D 2-1
If you wanna give round 2 to Illmac its Illmac 2-1
for me its Illmac, damn I am such a bloody yank illmac dick rider..(just to get that out of the way)

Both came so nice (pause).... So much replay value. Great battle
Illmac wins
Illmac's my favorite battle rapper of all-time. Far as i'm concerned, he has the deadliest pen game today but in this battle, he was so generic. He had a great flow and all but that's it. He didn't really have substance behind his words
Glad to see muhfuckers not sleeping on Illmac's pen. Lyricism is criminally underrated in battlerap these days. Salute 💯
Why can't Tony do this well against all his internationals
+unknown cos hes only human
+MINUS DA GREEZ wow real shit
this was his so well? oh jeeze
Two illmac battles uploaded in a day, props to him
The look Illmaculate gives when he thinks someone about to choke is awesome..
Good post. I think it's weak when a rapper relies to heavily on crowd reactions anyway. That Gregs the baker bar was incredible. Best bar of the battle.
Got lots of respect for Tony D, he's easily one of the best in the UK.
Tony D seemed chilled an Illmac seemed proper up for it. :S
Don't Flop is going through a transition and gaining alot of new fans who haven't watched battle rap before, and only watch Don't Flop. This woulda seemed alot less bias around the Blood In The Water era when it was all heads in the crowd, but it is what it is.

I drove over 600 miles in total to see this! was class battle my first battle av seen! :-)
"You're shadow-boxin' my shallow thoughts"...sick.
'...flawless/floor-less like the flintstone car' very nice punchline, well delivered
that shit was crack, and the flow flawless( floorless) like the flintstone car
2nd time i've watched this, yeah, fair enough the crowd are pretty quiet for alot of illmac's bars. BUT, tony still takes it, dudes become top tier. serious shit Tony D vs Matter for a shot at the DF title.DO THISSSSSSS!!!
To be fair tony d is one of the realest/hardest battlers in dont flop his flow and delivery are quite literally flawless
Cruger is fucking running things right now, Eurgh, Lego, Tenchoo too
I never usually watch a battle more than once and if i do its about a half a year or so later. I have watched this battle 5 times now. I realy like this one and i assumed when i was about to first watch it that Illmaculate would win. Tony D defo won this hands down and he came with some great bars and word play.
Damn illmac had 2 battles drop almost at the same exact time haha sick
ive no even watched this yet, now this is what a fucking battle should be like man, these 2 guys are top tier battle rappers...i cant wait to watch this shit man!!!! lmao
first time ive made a comment before watching lol
tony d is awesome and illmac is legend man!!!
Arsonal, DNA, O Red, Daylyt, The Saurus, Madness, Caustic, 100 Bulletz, Charron and Tricky P are all flying over for just one event
everytime illmaculate says something gd crowd doesnt react but when tony says something crowd goes sick
Tony D is one of the most entertaining British battlers to watch, always comes with some quality bars, I agree though that sometimes the crowd seemed to hold off a bit on the reactions to Illmac's bars, but sometimes that happens it isn't the end of the world and I don't think it affected the decision. Top clash though, keep them coming!
the arms like i'm t rex flip was slept on! it's a shame none of the crowd caught on to the reference
A good example of not judging a battle off reaction
I ain't sure if tony D's bars go over Americans heads of if illmaculate bars go over ours... Either way it was a close battle!!
i think to say "the crown was a bit biased" would be an understatement
I wonder if some of the Americans are complaining because they may not get all of the cultural references. To give props to Eurgh, he always taylors his references depending on the crowd. I'm thinking the VAT on hot food reference for example.
The touch tone line was soooo sickkk!
hey wats lyrical threats sounds fun..how do i join
That Entourage bar from Tony D was sick!
my flow flawless/floorless like the flinstones car. that shit was the hardest line of the battle
Tony D's bars with Entourage are fucking epic!
Tony D's Entourage bar was slept on
Liking the new intro, tasty.
Strange to see this doesn't have as many views as some.
Not going to lie Tony D's 3rd round was one of the best I've heard in time
I think that comments spot on. The crowd reactions did make the decision appear bias, but Tony took this one.
"im not high" grt the fuck outa here haha
nevermind it wasn't said in the middle of one of his bars, but still.
Tony D smashed it, 'wallet in the top pocket' and 'In Bruges' lines were immense
great battle! mad props to illmac, the crowd definately didnt give him what he deserved, but tony did take it fairly nobody can argue...
I saw the Clips battle, and I watch the Real Deal one when it was posted on RUclips for a short period of time as a bootleg.
both mc's killed it - big up dont flop - DFAFD
Dis a good battle. 5th time watchin it hahaha
I can't get over anybody thinking Tony D won. Listen to the lyrics dudes. Illmac's whole first round went over everybody's heads. "Every rebuttal doesn't sit right." was fucking nuts.
This was a great battle
Jon...you post on EVERY VIDEO even the old ones just to argue and debate. Do you use the DF forums? Kinda interested in what your username is on there...
I wonder if the judges at the end realise noone goes on the website they advertise

where did tony d bite the ' but illmac u late' bar from?
Where did you see the Clips battle?
Illmaculate = Intricately articulate wordplay filled rhyme-schemes, most of which could have been aimed at anyone.

once again, tony d did well. but, i think illmac slightly edged it. but, that's only because i'm going off these categories: flow, lyrics, presence, and authenticity.
Illmac got jerked.Nuff said. Only bar I liked from tony was the bars over jokes line.which he probably didn't even write.
Tony D took it but never seen a more biased crowd, gotta give Illmac credit he's a legend.
THE MOST FAVORITISM CROWD EVER.
That's a fair point but if you check Tony's battle against Arkaic, Tone didn't bring his A game in this either.
It was like a current Jump Off decision in my opinion. Wow I just watched two robberies of Illmac back to back funny stuff. ^ ^
Yup, San Diego, California born and raised. Well I'm a fan of and watch some older UK sitcoms like SPACED and Black Books so maybe I picked up the lingo from there. Shite is good. It's a good word. Got to give a shout out to Simon Pegg for that!

Tony D had at least a couple stumbles, and his bars were largely unoriginal. He's not bad but he's just not all the level that Illmaculate is.
Broken down, chewed up and spat out. Tony D killed it.
Rematch, CHAMP VS CHAMP!
Real talk MA was on point, illmac was mostly talking about himself and the league when hes suppose to diss Tony. Tony killed it man always kills it! Hopefully he gets another international battle with Arcane or so
URL, DF, and UW >>>>
I had a lot of fun. I don't follow DF as much as I should, but everyone showed up. Great stuff from Ars and DNA.
Love that flintstones car line
Stig had the gist of it. Tony Ds punches were all half bar setups
Is your full stop key broke or something ?
I'm English and the crowd did my fucking head in, Tony D was great but illmac was good too, just the crowd turned the final judgement
the judges recognised and considered crowd reaction and still gave tony the W. if the crowd cast the vote you'd have a point, but the judges were clearly objective. Only DR here is you
it's too bad the crowd didn't show ill much love cuz he def showed tony respect .. it's good to see two emcees who have respect for one another clash , and I'm sure they got drunk together afterwards n blazed a nice blunt or ten , big ups
God damn illmac is a monster!
Da crowd sounds like a studio audience when Tony spits GTFOH
No actually I'm just a Canadian battle rap fan that hates it when the battle is ruined because of the crowd's bias toward the home favourite. I can tell by your word choices that you are British and it looks like you would have fit in quite well with this crowd.
