Soul has a top five pen game in any league. Every time I watch his battles, I end up making a " I just shat myself" face and shake my head. His bars are seriously incredible. Really wish he could've faced Tony D for the title.

Here is how i would judge it: First round - Cee Major, but very close call, mostly i am giving this round to Cee cuz Soul got stuttered in his first round for like a minute. Second Round - Soul, again very close call, both MC were spitting punch after punch like crazy, I give this round to Soul for interesting flow switches Third Round - Cee Major, that wasn't even close, Cee just destroyed completely him, he actually went for his soul and took it out of his body! 2-1 Cee Major - Win But what a legendary epic fight, i wish i was there live when it all happened. Both MC are on the top level
This battle won't get as many views as it deserves. Which is a shame because it's the best UK battle ever. You've got people like Conceited and Hitman consistently hitting 1m views who don't have half of the talent, bars and content as these two guys.
Samuel Martin Conceited and SONS laid down the initial foundations for all these battle rappers scheming nowadays, get a grip. And Hitman is 10x more entertaining than these two combined...neither of these two know how to grip a crowd and fill a room with energy. They can't do what Hitman did vs JJDD in rd 1 for instance.

classic battle. imho cee edged all three rounds with rock solid consistency and swag throughout. props to soul for his (self-acknowledged) atypical style (except for his third, which was non-stop 'lyrical miracle' multies), his aggy opener and even better second round. unfortunately for him, cee remained un-phased by the 'sole' 'you don't deserve this' theme and audaciously convinced me that soul was actually the one that didn't deserve it with a surprising level of cleverness, including his 'no pause' rebuttal. don't forget, soul rhymed 'islam' with 'islam'. nonetheless this battle displays both of these cats at their best. i understand that it could have gone either way but the ultimate 4-1 result paints the wrong picture. guess that's why losing a close one is sometimes worse than a slaughtering, in any sport.

Draikofi Although many people praise Soul for his penmanship and bars I think Cee Major proved he can come heavy with the pen too. The deciding factor for me was really delivery. Cee Major's delivery is monotonous and one dimensional so the bars don't hit as hard. I tend to doze off on some of his stuff for that reason. Soul on the other hand has three dimensions to him. The raunchy Soul, the softly joking Soul and lastly medium level soul which is usually fast. That is what makes Soul's bars hit harder and ultimately a better performer.
It still amazes me that people think C won. don't get me wrong the dude is awesome and he was amazing in this battle but he has one flow but has amazing bars and great writing. But it's much more than that.what's Soul does is beyond that. His writing, vocal projection, bars, multis, performance, crowd control, aggression, the way he can go up and down with his flow to hit Peaks and grab your interest is far more intricate than What C does, plain and simple. Went to see this live- I had Cee winning 2-0 after two rounds, but Soul smashed that third so hard on every angle I ended up giving it to him... Respect to both of them though, hardest battle I've ever seen!
Both of them came with extremely similar multi-heavy, angle-focused rounds. Soul mentions Cee being a 4 bar rapper, but Cee is not that at all. This is a top 20 battle for me, for sure.
This was and still is to date the best don't flop title match .. shox vs soul is a close 2nd but i think both shox and soul each had a slightly weaker round in their battle .. this is 3 rounds of pure fire from both equally as hungry men and this came down to exactly that.. hunger.. cee major tried to swag through the battle, soul had almost 10 years of mad travelling and hard grinding behind him and wasn't going to let this opportunity slide.. great battle from both guys! 🔥🔥🔥 cee should come back and put more into battling he can write and perform on the top stages

That was the best don't flop battle in history. Neither battler pulled any gimmicks or went into it thinking they are rap god's. This battle was nothing like shotty vs Tony and was so much more enjoyable. So rare to get so hyped off both battlers. So rare for a rapper (soul) to be on such a consistent quality streak. Couldn't have gone better, Cee major has nothing to be ashamed of, showed pure battle talent on top of actually making music. Soul did everything he can do whilst maintain relevant and creative angles. Perfect title match, i really hope british battling continues moving in this direction.
I've watched this battle like 4 times in the last month. And I've decided that Cee Major got ROBBED. I love Soul, he's one of the greatest writers in the world when it comes to battle rap. But all of Cee Major's big swings got nothing from the crowd. It's a shame. I don't think Cee Major took the title shot, but he got no way near the praise he deserved for this performance.

This was a formality, a forgone conclusion. Of course Soul is DF's poster boy and that's why he got the decision. Judging is corrupt/biased at any level of any sport, even battle rap. People saying how Cee hasn't won a battle in ages went against him, then why the fuck give him a shot? I love watching both these guys battle and I'm Scottish to boot. But choking in your first at a title match should go against you for that round, regardless of how you claw the round back. And it took Soul a while to come back from that, it wasn't some minor slip up. On the day, you should bring your A game. I've seen clashes where dudes lose the whole battle for less than this. No way was this a 4-1. All those judges, Dash, Tony D, Villun...all in Eurgh's pocket......and fuckin' Agent, what the fuck does that scrub know? Couldn't rap his way out of a wet paper bag. Draikofi Although many people praise Soul for his penmanship and bars I think Cee Major proved he can come heavy with the pen too. The deciding factor for me was really delivery. Cee Major's delivery is monotonous and one dimensional so the bars don't hit as hard. I tend to doze off on some of his stuff for that reason. Soul on the other hand has three dimensions to him. The raunchy Soul, the softly joking Soul and lastly medium level soul which is usually fast. That is what makes Soul's bars hit harder and ultimately a better performer.
Best I've seen from cee, but still gave it too soul.

It still amazes me that people think C won. don't get me wrong the dude is awesome and he was amazing in this battle but he has one flow but has amazing bars and great writing. But it's much more than that.what's Soul does is beyond that. His writing, vocal projection, bars, multis, performance, crowd control, aggression, the way he can go up and down with his flow to hit Peaks and grab your interest is far more intricate than What C does, plain and simple. Its not always about bars

Went to see this live- I had Cee winning 2-0 after two rounds, but Soul smashed that third so hard on every angle I ended up giving it to him... Respect to both of them though, hardest battle I've ever seen!

Both of them came with extremely similar multi-heavy, angle-focused rounds. Soul mentions Cee being a 4 bar rapper, but Cee is not that at all. This is a top 20 battle for me, for sure.

This was and still is to date the best don't flop title match .. shox vs soul is a close 2nd but i think both shox and soul each had a slightly weaker round in their battle .. this is 3 rounds of pure fire from both equally as hungry men and this came down to exactly that.. hunger.. cee major tried to swag through the battle, soul had almost 10 years of mad travelling and hard grinding behind him and wasn't going to let this opportunity slide.. great battle from both guys! 🔥🔥🔥 cee should come back and put more into battling he can write and perform on the top stages

That was the best don't flop battle in history. Neither battler pulled any gimmicks or went into it thinking they are rap god's. This battle was nothing like shotty vs Tony and was so much more enjoyable. So rare to get so hyped off both battlers. So rare for a rapper (soul) to be on such a consistent quality streak. Couldn't have gone better, Cee major has nothing to be ashamed of, showed pure battle talent on top of actually making music. Soul did everything he can do whilst maintain relevant and creative angles. Perfect title match, i really hope british battling continues moving in this direction.
I actually think that this and Tony v. Shotty are the two best battles in DF, tied as I can't pick a favorite. A close 3rd being Tony v. Oshea.

I've watched this battle like 4 times in the last month. And I've decided that Cee Major got ROBBED. I love Soul, he's one of the greatest writers in the world when it comes to battle rap. But all of Cee Major's big swings got nothing from the crowd. It's a shame. I don't think Cee Major took the title shot, but he got no way near the praise he deserved for this performance.

This was a formality, a forgone conclusion. Of course Soul is DF's poster boy and that's why he got the decision. Judging is corrupt/biased at any level of any sport, even battle rap. People saying how Cee hasn't won a battle in ages went against him, then why the fuck give him a shot? I love watching both these guys battle and I'm Scottish to boot. But choking in your first at a title match should go against you for that round, regardless of how you claw the round back. And it took Soul a while to come back from that, it wasn't some minor slip up. On the day, you should bring your A game. I've seen clashes where dudes lose the whole battle for less than this. No way was this a 4-1. All those judges, Dash, Tony D, Villun...all in Eurgh's pocket......and fuckin' Agent, what the fuck does that scrub know? Couldn't rap his way out of a wet paper bag. If you are going to be biased, at least make it look convincing. Fuck sake.
Agreed i feel Soul is usually better but over hyped in this one, aside from the choke he has alot of filler and also forces his delivery, personally i had cee major 3-0 or i guess 2-1 could be argued but his material was better than souls in my view.

I would love to see Charron vs Soul, Ogmios (I'd love to hear what he could bring to a title match) vs Soul, or Rone vs Soul. I know in terms of holding a title, Eurgh might not want to see Charron or Rone win it (though I know Soul is Scottish but he still reps the league). Even if Soul battled either of them on KOTD it would be dope. Charron and Soul would be a really interesting match-up.
