Love your videos Kayla female farmer ❤❤❤❤❤
All my life i had heard "makin' hay while the sun shines." I knew the meaning of it, but It was many years later before I actually understood the truth behind it. Love the red, white and blue netting!
My dad used to sprinkle salt on the top of each layer of bales in the stack! Worked, stopped it from moulding, the cows always eat all of the hay!
Just tagging along with you.............your Illinois neighbor 👍👍
After almost 60000 small squares in 8 months I am not thrilled with the performance of our 1840 M F baler first malfunction was the pin securing the lamping tongue in one of the bill hooks fell out.... and my Son had to use his Job Supply room to find a decimal drill bit to fabricate a replacement pin to drive into the Hole, 2nd Malfunction 2 front lower Plunger bearings lost the balls, but were replaced with bearings that operate the thresher bars in an AmADAS peanut Combine..... 3rd Malfunction.... Nut securing Drive Pinion in main Gearbox started coming loose allowing shaft to move in and out of gearbox, destroying seal.... Located a local NAPA....We did not replace most of the shielding around the Flywheel so we could keep an Eye on the Shaft.....We are quite particular about our Net-Wrap Even though we use Krone Balers we use Tama Cover-Edge Wrap........... Buy it by the Pallet
I heard you say that you were wanting to do more end rows before you started making straight runs. We found that by doing that we ended up having to work around more bales on our turns making it more difficult to line back up. But enjoyed the video once again.
God Bless and stay safe.
Like the Red White and blue netting thats awesome
Nice job kiddo ❤️ Drew.....Fan for life !
Thanks :)
Have you ever thought about how all that equipment you're using, came about? How amazing!
Every day!! I am so thankful for the opportunities we have been blessed with! And the people who sacrificed their lives for us to be able to live the way we do. …
Kayla, when you get a lot of rainy periods and the ground moisture is high it is hard to get the hay dry enough as it wicks moisture up, so it is frustrating to get it ready to bale. What a difference from last year to this year. Happy baling.
Great Video Kayla
Hay season starting under a flood watch. That is new. Do you have a new camera? Nice video of all the new things. On this Memorial day from a someone who served in the United State Coast Guard, Semper Paratus. Be safe may God Bless.
This is a time when having a good round baler at home can save you as you can bale higher moisture than you can with squares
That’s not why we do big Round bales though. Used to do little round bales. 70s the big round baler came out and it is labor saver. You can put up so much more hair with less Labor using big round bales. Mid mid west tri-state area Illinois Missouri Iowa . Coming from someone who is 60+ years old remember when the big Balers Came out.
we had a very wet spring here in NW europe (Belgium). next two weeks still rain in the forecast... never had that late of a start of the hayseason in the 30 years my dad made hay for the retail market. wishing you the best of luck in your hayseason!
I like the red white and blue net rap
👏👏👏
👏👏👏 love it!
Look forward to seeing the bale baron in action , how come you decided to go that route? Have a good season
Hay can spontaneously combust
A particular risk with hay and straw is the risk of spontaneous combustion. If the storage is moist, biological decomposition takes place, so that heat is generated
👍👌❤️🇨🇦, lovin' it all
Are you going to wrap the bales
I have to admit that net wrap is pretty cool but don't you feel like you should stop and say The Pledge Of Elegance every time you kick out bale? 🫡
