    This video is an emotional sine function that keeps shifting my feelings from happy (because you're funny) to sad (because I'm too stupid to understand your node tree).

      There’s a math node for that. But I don’t know how to put it into your emotions. Maybe I’ll work it out in the next video …

    I know what's happening in the "simulation" at the start. It's you, on facecam. THAT'S how you manage to create these out-of-this-world amazing videos/techniques. INFINITE TENTACLES. Busted.

      Oh. Totally busted. Next you’ll work out that the button is how I’m typing this reply…

      Thank you. There's something so satisfying about creating a system like this in Blender. I have another in the pipeline...

    This project is so impressive, can't wait for the follow up video, everything looks so well crafted in the intro.
    i do truly think you're a blender genius.

      Thank you! I thought it would be fun to create a project with a variety of different techniques then do a series of separate videos on all of them. Hopefully there’ll be something for everyone

      I've tried to follow your tutorial as much as I could but it keep failing to work at the introduction of "Curve Circle" any idea why ?

    • @harryblends
      @harryblends  10 месяцев назад +1

      What's not working for you? At 5:18 the curve circle is connected to the group I just created. This is done with a new geometry input. You can add this when inside the group with the group panel.

    Thanks. was hoping for more of a completed scene at the end

    How do you do the smooth interface animations like connecting the nodes together? The way they animate is so satisfying. Are you recreating the interface in blender and using curve modifiers perhaps? I struggle to guess!

    • @harryblends
      @harryblends  8 месяцев назад +3

      It’s all screen capture in the geometry node editor in blender that I retime and reframe in the edit. It’s kinda “node puppeteering” stitched together with a bunch of editing tricks. It was difficult to perfect but it’s actually relatively straight forward to produce

    • @TheEmptyHoliness
      @TheEmptyHoliness 8 месяцев назад +3

      @@harryblends i’m sure a video on that is probably too much to ask but gosh i would love to learn those tricks! Feels like a great use for promotional material for blender market listings. Thanks for the insight! I’ll have to try it out.

    15 years of daily blender and didn't know you can change the clipping of a curve window...

    • @harryblends
      @harryblends  10 месяцев назад +1

      Yup. The float curves don’t get much love, that’s for sure. Such a powerful node. They can be really fiddly if you want to get detailed but you can achieve really nice natural results

    I watch, like, and comment on this video to increase engagement and appease The Algorithm while the supposedly clever part of my brain is busy exploding from thinking too hard in trying to understand the contents

    • @harryblends
      @harryblends  10 месяцев назад +1

      If you appease the algorithm enough RUclips will send you a new brain. This stuff used to baffle me. Geometry nodes especially. Then a couple of the key concepts locked in and it all got so much easier. There’s still elements I don’t fully understand. But with anything like this I think it’s the fear that it must be more complex than it is really that keeps us from getting our heads around it. Embrace the nodes

    Our dog just learned to talk as well! We've been teaching her to use those AAC based buttons for dogs. Unfortunately her aspirations aren't quite as lofty as your dog's new podcast. Whenever I'm in the kitchen she relentlessly demands Scooby Snacks. It doesn't matter how many I give her, she never seems to have her fill. We're not quite sure if the buttons helped us reveal our furry friend's hidden addiction, or if we created the addiction while teaching her to use them. 🤦

      I like the approach of including "Daphne du Maurier" and "titular barnyard" attributes 👍
      ...but you forgot to label the Rebecca Birds and Otis Oedekerk socket.
      Otherwise, top notch innovative nodeling.
