Hey Tim I got my Mianne Benchwork a couple months back I finally got my train room (converted 2 room garage) cleaned out and started setting up my benchwork this afternoon and all I can say is wow supper easy even for me who can't do anything with wood, I can hardly wait to get it finished and start running trains. Thank you for making this easy for me!!!

I have had my 4x8 Mianne Benchwork for 10 years and can't say enough about it. We moved after retirement so down came the HO Layout and it was a piece of cake. Great video Tim and keep up the great work at Mianne Benchwork

I can build my own well, but let me personally congratulate you on a fantastic idea for those who don't know how to build a layout. I would certainly promote your product for new model railroaders. Good job.

A well designed, efficient and reasonably priced system. I was able to assemble it in less time than a trip to Home Depot to pick up wood. I'm an experienced woodworker and quite capable of making my own benchwork, but this system was so easy and I can spend the saved time actually setting up the layout - - plus no sawdust!

I've been collecting Thomas Wooden Railway since 1997, and I've always wanted to make a giant layout roughly the size of several standard train tables that has many iconic destinations; Tidmouth Sheds, Gordon's Hill, Brendam Docks, and many a bridge and tunnel. I'm looking forward to getting one of these so I can make that goal a reality.

I will be buying one of these next month once I move. I’ve heard nothing but great things about this company and the quality of the products!

I have a large Mianne and love it, but had to take it apart to move into our new home. I have bench up, and soon to start working on tracks and getting trains going. Excellent.

A good presentation. straightforward, easy instructions that even an adult could understand. The insert views and close-ups are very useful... the product itself is brilliant and if I wasn't already able to construct my own I'd be oredring at least two sets now. I'd definitely reccommend it as an alternative to others I know who aren't so handy on the tools. The use or inclusion of the manufactured "I beams" is a great way to reduce weight over all without reducing structural strength.. Might I reccomend some extra bracing in the form of masonite sheet panels on the sides and or ends of the bench or maybe in the form of some add-on modular shelves or drawers unit?

I think the center cross "I Beam" he kept referring to as a 4 foot "I Beam" was actually a 2 foot section looking at the diagram he showed for the benchwork.

Carol, Thanks for the comment. We don't include pricing in the video as unfortunately prices must change periodically and would make the video obsolete whenever there was a price change. We don't currently ship outside of North America except to US Military addresses. The system is expandable and we do actually have a few different 14' x 10' stock benchworks available as well as unlimited custom configurations. Please download our most recent catalog from our site. Thank you, Tim Foley

All of the pricing at Miannebenchwork.com is based on our standard 40" height. We can supply you with any height you desire. Taller legs are slightly more and shorter would be the same price as the standard 40".

Really nice system but $400 for a 4x8 support is way out of my budget!! System appears to be built with very good craftsmanship but most of us in Model Railroading drive VW's not Lamborghini's.

Tim - really disappointed that you never responded to my request for a quote on a layout I sent to you. You promised in a couple of e-mails that you woould respond. Months later - nothing. Don't worry, I've moved on from you and Mianne.

I'm currently in the process of building my first train layout, an N scale layout on a hollow core door, supported by saw horses. I tried using folding table legs to support it, but they were wobbly, and no one wants a wobbly train table. I then replaced the legs with a pair of saw horses, and though the layout is much more stable, I'd like to have some nice benchwork to support it, and don't want to do a lot of noisy, messy sawing, hammering, and drilling as I live in an apartment, and need to keep the noise, and mess to a minimum.
Your benchwork is the perfect solution for me, and my layout will go from a 3x7 HDC layout to a 4x8 layout with nice looking sturdy benchwork without the noise, and mess of conventional do it yourself constructed benchwork. With a 4x8 table I can use 19" curves, which my new BLI Big Boy locomotive, and the Kato UP excursion set I plan on purchasing in the future, will look, and perform much better going through, than the 13" curves on my present layout.
