You were extremely lucky to have this time with your mother before she passed away. Both my parents died in the hospital during covid when no visitors were allowed to visit. Because they were DNR they allowed us children 10 minutes each to say our goodbyes. It was devastating. They each died alone in ICU. They died within 5 months of each other and were buried within 5 weeks of each other due to churches being closed during covid. This is all while working full time as a RN on a covid unit.
Take all the time you need sweet lady! It is so comforting to know where she is going and to know you will see her again. I am praying for you and your family.

My poor daddy, they kept saying he had just a couple of days left, he lived 3 weeks longer, lying in the bed, at his home , suffering. He had colon rectal cancer and died a horrible death that was just absolutely heartbreaking to watch. I'm glad your mom left you with some beautiful memories and I'm so happy that she didn't suffer in the end. What a wonderful testimony of Faith. There is nothing more important than knowing Jesus. My Dad passed in 2009 and my Mom 2010. They were the foundation of my life. They led me to the Lord when I was 4 and were such godly examples to all of our family, including extended family. I miss them terribly, but I know I will see them again, never to part again. Glory be to Jesus!!!

Darlene, the same thing happened with my mom in 2005, when I lost her. I was with her in the hospital, just before she died. She looked up into the ceiling in the corner of the room smiled, and then she took her last breath. I was 58 at the time. I still miss her and talk to her. She was a month away from turning 86. I am 76 now, I hope that God will keep me here many long years yet. But only he knows how long. My husband is almost 25 years younger than I am and I want to be here with him as long as God will allow .God bless you and I am so sorry that you lost your mom,. god bless

I had a call at work to say mum had deteriorated and to get to hospital fast. I drove like a mad person, ran into the ward and saw the curtains around her I called "mum". A nurse came from behind the curtain and took me aside to say mum passed as I ran into the ward. I went behind the curtain and held mum's warm hand, I thought she was going to wake up when I told her again how much I loved her. That was 44 yrs ago and I still miss and need her so much.
