    Hi! It might be a big grilling weekend, but it's not necessarily great grilling weather where you are. Like, maybe it's WAYYYYYY too hot, or maybe it's RAINING, or maybe you ... don't have a grill. My indoor method is amazing. And if it turns out to be a beautiful day, you can always finish these on the grill. If not, broiler it is! Oh also this is a vintage video that was shot on iPhones and previously only available behind a paywall, which is why it looks different than my recent content.

      i think there might be something wrong with Carla's youtube page setting. I cannot bookmark Carla's channel, it always shows 404 error whenever i want to visit carla's channel from my bookmark...

    Love this method! Always do something similar with ribs which is basically wrapping in foil and steaming in the oven at low temp. Finished on a charcoal grill is :chef's kiss:

Which is also why I own your books! thank you for not giving MSG a bad rep and YES Mushroom powder is the other alternative that gives is basically the same umami flavoring to anything you add it to!     Me being such a fangirl of Carla’s video content that I sat here 20 minutes straight watching her make ribs as a true vegetarian. You are a true queen! I loooove watching your video’s every week and you inspired me to create my own youtube channel for which my first video will be up by next week hopefully haha .🤞🏻Never underestimate the learning process of video editing and the time it takes. 😅

    I like this new take on the ribs. Personally, I am in a 'coleslaw' mode. (Temps next week in Toronto will be up to 38 C) so I love the idea of cutting up the rib meat and serving atop a bowl of coleslaw... and maybe even sharing it with others. Definitely worth making just to take for lunch at work and enjoying it in front of others. "So how is that flaccid milquetoast 6"' Subway sandwich?"

    I like celery with peanut butter. I like cold celery salads. I like celery dipped in ranch dressing. I like celery in my tuna salad. I use celery in the trinity for cajun creole dishes. I don't like celery cooked in soups or stews, except for clam chowder. That's my celery story.

    Did you use steaming instead of Instant Pot, as in BATK, because you lack the IP or have tested and prefer steaming. I have both and need to know in 22 hrs‼️

      Switched to steaming bc equipment is more accessible (tall pot). But if you have a pressure cooker it’s faster!

    Question about the production, I noticed a lot of changes to the style. Why the changes? You can never please everyone, so this isn’t a criticism, I promise, but the changes seem to mute Carla’s insanely awesome personality. So, curious about why the changes.

      not going anywhere! just re-released a video I shot a while back for anyone looking to cook ribs without having to go outside (heat waves, thunderstorms, wildfires-mother nature really letting us HAVE IT this weekend)
