They are certainly not made to be used together, no. The infant insert is made to take up the extra space in the baby carrier, but the toddler carrier is even bigger, so I suspect the infant insert would not take up enough space to keep a newborn safe in the toddler carrier.
Genius! I had back surgery a few years ago and it limits my flexibility. I NEVER thought to buckle the back clip first. Thank you!!
