I'm starting out with engraving. Can you suggest a good starter tool set for me? I would like to avoid frustration but not spend a mint doing it. I already have an engraving ball and would like to get a good starter electric graver machine, (maybe one that I can use hammer tools with too) as well as a good set of gravers and maybe some instruction on sharpening? So, I guess I'm asking for suggestions on the machine, gravers, and sharpening equipment, plus what I'm missing 😁

Hello Im Looking To Get Into Engraving. The Majority Of People Would Consider Me To Be Artistic. I Have Been Drawing All My Life, Done Tattooing, Airbrush, And Painting. Now I Would Like To Get Into Working Art Into Metal. I Feel I Will Pick Up The Art Very Easy, Just Need Some Tools To Practice And Get Started In The Trade. So I Was Wondering If Anyone Would Have Some Old Tools, That They Would Be Willing To Give To A Starter. Thanks And God Bless.
Yeah, it is a yikes. If you're on a budget, I would recommend getting a Fretz chasing hammer ($50), Ngraver beginner graver set ($36), Ngraver Belgium style graver handle ($8). Besides tool sharpening and work holding, that is everything you need to start.
Dude seriously, why are you not answering anybody's questions about how to get ahold of these tools. It doesn't matter how much I look, I can't find any kind of non-powered non rotary metal graving chisels. I've been trying to find the tools needed for this for about 2 weeks now. It's getting stupid how little information we're getting from videos like this. You keep showing us how to do things, but nobody is telling us how to get ahold of the tools.
