  • Stew Smith www.stewsmithf... and Jeff Nichols (www.performanc...) discuss finding a group a like minded people to make yourself better with. Iron sharpens Iron and when you find the right tribe you can see your performance increase to new levels.
However there is a flip side to finding your tribe that is not helpful when that tribe becomes too much of a clique and drives your mental / physical performance in adverse ways if you are not careful.
Check out this podcast that discusses both sides of the coin on finding your tribe. Check out other videos of combat swimmer stroke, workouts, and other spec ops related training. See www.stewsmithfi... for more information about military, law enforcement, special ops, fire fighting training programs.

Saw a guy at my school gym working out and had fins by his gym bag so I knew what was up. I also noticed he was doing one of stews workouts that I recognized. I said what’s up and tried to talk about training and the military and the guy acted like he was Jason Bourne and couldn’t say anything… very odd and off putting lol don’t be that guy.

Hey Stew had a question. Do you have any videos of preventing hyperthermia in BUD/s? Or any tips to decrease the chance?

    • @StewSmith182

Hyperthermia can happen at BUDS as it does get hot in the summer, BUT the good news is that you are likely always going to be wet in 65-70 degree water so that is an instant cool down event. Stay hydrated, add salt to your meals so you do not lose too many electrolytes without proper replacement, and get wet when you can.
