    I love love love how Galu doesnt know that the barracks event doesnt apply to strongholds and above cos he didnt read the opening text and also how often he rants about people not reading the opening text in DAC. I have a warm feeling inside.

    Khazad Spearmen have a sword animation instead of spear. You don't know how happy I was when I thought I was seeing custom spear animations..

      @@trollwayy5981 Heirs of Elendil charge 750 for towers, except Gondor which is 600 and ND for 500. I agree on the price and do wonder if it might be slightly more since watchtowers give the player increased sight for the rest of the campaign, so how is it only 20. It also means the AI have a very hard time sneaking into your territory which i enjoy seeing the AI do. It can be very sneaky at times.

      Marcus Romulus woah woah woah! Lolol I like the 12 gold it costs me for watchtowers ;) you and me are in a very different group haha, have a great night.

      @@trollwayy5981 I like the decisions it makes me consider, watchtower or town hall. However, Heirs of Elendil have also got more watchtowers already placed than DAC. I read somewhere it had almost 100 more watchtowers but im not going to try and confirm that.

    I just noticed Elder Scrolls total war for Med 2. The map is huge. Have you seen it?

    • @marcusromulus5646
      @marcusromulus5646 4 года назад +1

      Its a good mod, there are a few of them set in different times/ages/major events but as far as i can tell by playing there are no custom settlements. They appear to be standard med 2 settlements, which is fine but i would have liked to fight at the Imperial City.

    • @CraftBeer4Life
      @CraftBeer4Life 4 года назад +3

      @@marcusromulus5646 that's too bad. The map looked nice. I cant believe the imperial city is just a normal settlement. Version 2.0 came out not too long ago. Maybe some changes happened. I just found it today so I don't know too much yet.

    • @marcusromulus5646
      @marcusromulus5646 4 года назад +2

      @@CraftBeer4Life The game itself is good, playing as the Empire is great fun since there are rebel settlements in every direction but every other faction is also after them so its a huge race. The mod im playing has the Oblivion Crisis but im not sure how that plays out. Unlike Third Age and all the submods Elder Scrolls have the standard med 2 population and bonuses so most of my small towns need a pop of 6000+ to become a town. Sacking cities can make up to 100,000s so money is easy to come by except at the beginning and when fighting the gods (Aldmeri Dominion).

    • @Fyrebrand18
      @Fyrebrand18 4 года назад +8

      It actually does have custom settlements. Markarth, the Imperial City, Windhelm and White Run all appear as custom settlements. I however have not checked the others.
      Oblivion Crisis as far as I know just spawns hordes in each province that are notoriously hard to kill. Fourth Age campaign has several scripts for the Dragonborn and the Civil War.

    • @marcusromulus5646
      @marcusromulus5646 4 года назад

      @@Fyrebrand18 Well as of yet i've never managed to get to any of the named settlements as any faction to test them, but soon hopefully. Sounds good with the Oblivion event, i want my empire to take a huge beating and slowely rebuild it before trying to take the summerset isles. Ive looked at the High Elves and their 12 full stacks and multiple full stack garrisons, its only turn 60 ffs. Haven't got the fourth age mod, but isnt the Dragonborn set to be Stormcloak? Also, isn't there a Second Age mod as well?

    Please do that for DAC (07:16) It would be great knowing what the General's special ability does during a battle. So it isn't wasted when it would have been far more useful earlier or later on in the fight.

    Since watchtowers are so expensive in this, spies might actually prove more cost effective even though they are even a bit more expensive that towers again. At least spies can move around, instead of just watching over one area for the rest of the game

    Hey Galu, I started a Lothlorien campaign in DCI (though i think they're called something different, i dont recall) and I was surprised to see they were the kind of faction that doesnt have a family tree, and that they put Galadriel in the game as a lord. Got me wondering why DAC hasn't input Galadriel as a lord. I think I recall you or someone saying something about the marriage with Celeborn being difficult to work with but I'd rather ask. So what's up with Galadriel?

    I would not say that Men were not like the three cultures of the Elves. The Men found by Finrod were separated into three distinct cultures under tribes or "houses": The House of Beor, the House of Haleth, and the House of Hador. Beor and Hador merged after the House of Beor was nearly wiped out and became the Numenoreans while the House of Haleth betrayed the Goodly Races and sided with Morogth. They became the ancestors of the evil men. So, the three houses of Men are like the three houses of the Elves.

    It's Rhûn all the way down.

    Am I tripping or does the use of the original 3rd age map(smaller number of towns,cities,castles,provinces etc.) fit well with the development of Middle Earth at this time as far as places with active settlements and sphere of influence per faction??

  • @VojislavMoranic
    @VojislavMoranic 4 года назад

    I tried the mod.
    I like the idea but.
    The Numenorean kingdoms are weird and unbalanced to the point of what is even the point of playing with them.
    Mordor has weirdly strong Orcs who are supposed to be weak and very little variety.
    Harad is just weird. I like the Numenorian units but they are so few and far between in variety that i feel it would have been better to just copy your Ar-Adunaim instead who are the best.
    The Elves are supposed to be the best soldiers but are meh.
    Not to mention Governors have almost no impact on the regions.
    There is minimal city growth.
    Money is always a scarcity because the economy is broken.
    It would have been better just to split the kingdoms as they have few settlements in this small map as it is.
    DaC it is for me its like having me drive a harley davidson and then asking me to drive Capriollo scooter.
