I see that guy at 13:02 with the tear in his eye everywhere on tv. He played the comedian John Bishop is his annecdotes on a BBC show, and he was one of the actors brought for the last task in the previous Apprentice.
"And then a few weeks later I was at a friends house...an' I open the cupboard an' there it is." "Same Mug?" "Same mug." "With the chip and everything?" "No, no. Gone." *SPOOK TALK* xD
Yeah. And Bonnie and Clyde. There's plenty of fictitious characters whose violence is glorified as well, but at least with them you're not likely to meet their victims
@obstacle1978 it's the orchestral sex pistols off rock and roll swindle steve jones starts his radio show with the orchestral version of god save the queen x
Because it takes real life people who have done horrible things, portray those things as cool and then make them fight with each other, as if just the fact that they are nazis/ira members/taliban members it is ok to watch them being killed in terribly cruel ways. Instead of showing that all killing is wrong they portray it as a game. It's an extremely cynical show
what's with the shots of Charlie walking along a hill top looking at nothing and all contemplative & the like - I'm pretty sure that technique gets a dress down at some point during this series.
@cashomnitrix I'd forgotten about her. I think I mananged about 6 episodes before I refused to watch any more. My better half liked it, but she's a Yank. I couldn't stand to see all the anachronisms. Arthur & Merlin may be as fictional as Jesus & god but the period in which they're supposed to have lived existed. Peasants just didn't say things like 'hey kingy dude, got any cool new mp3s on your ipod?" I exaggerate a bit. I guess they didn't want to bore, or worse, inform youth.
I love the classical version of "Pretty Vacant" being used in this.
Classical Pretty Vacant is hilarious, as is Rave Britannia with David Mitchell.
lol It's surreal seeing this since seeing Slipmatt at BPM 2013. Surreal, awesome, and hilarious with David's reactions. lol
Excellent episode. Thanks again for the upload.
"David Mitchell's Rave Britannia"
I would watch the SHIT out of that show.

"David Mitchell's Rave Britannia"--possibly the most hilarious title card ever.
Hahaha! David Mitchell and rave! what a weird combination
How brilliant that it ends with the BBC announcing exactly the kind of schlocky post-modern show Brooker railed against
David mitchell looks like he regrets doing that documentary
Ironically, this show is probably the best thing on TV.
Basically what the've done there is to take the tragic futility of war and use it blow up a pig! BRILLIANT
"And then a few weeks later I was at a friends house...an' I open the cupboard an' there it is."
"Same Mug?"
"Same mug."
"With the chip and everything?"
"No, no. Gone."

xD

"David Mitchell's rave Britannia" is screaming to be made. Poor Dave looks genuinely frightened at the end of the clip.
i'm going to take his cheering out of context and put it on........ wait a minute
Been a long time since I laughed so hard. Holy crap.
Even better - if you search for 'Second Summer of Love' on Wikipedia - the clip is used as a reference for an "account of the summer of love"
Music at 4:26? Anyone know? I fucking love that, wish I could find it.
Anyone knows the name of the violin piece of music in the end?
It's a string arrangement of Pretty Vacant by the Sex Pistols.
Tin Pigeons thank you sooooo much!
10:26 - Don't worry Charlie, it's totally IN context.
music from 'break these cuffs' at 3:03?
@geffel Good thing we have "Camelot" on Starz to look forward to next week(April 1)
And you're right about "Merlin". Why is Gwen black?
Yeah. And Bonnie and Clyde. There's plenty of fictitious characters whose violence is glorified as well, but at least with them you're not likely to meet their victims
You've just earned yourself a RUclips gold account for this comment.
PLEASE can David Mitchell actually do a documentary called Rave Britannia? It would be awesome :)
Anybody else notice the orchestral versions of Holiday in Cambodia by Dead Kennedys and Pretty Vacant by Sex Pistols in the background?
HOORAAAY FOR THE NAZZZIIIS
That would be a programme id pay to watch.
HORRAY FOR THE NNNAAAZZZZIIIIIISSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is that the actor Kevin Eldon?
It did, in this episode, at the beginning
@obstacle1978 it's the orchestral sex pistols off rock and roll swindle
steve jones starts his radio show with the orchestral version of god save the queen
x
@Sanotrex Ohh thanks so much! Now I'm trying to find a version without him singing :P
I love the outrage of people dumb enough to believe in ghosts that Ghostwatch was fake. Only dupes like them could fall victim in the first place.
Mitchell FTW. Damn that was funny.
David Mitchell's one was a joke, right?
00:09 - Borat?
Deadliest warrior had the I.R.A. versus the Taliban running around in a fucking carpark. Yeah thats ever gonna happen hahahaha
i did my fast acid trip to ghost watch fucking funny!!:)
i actually enjoy deadliest warrior
how did he know I would want to take that out of context and put it on youtube?
He knows his people.
Spook Talk is hilarious.
Pretty sure it's "Pretty Vacant" by the Sex Pistols.
@cashomnitrix Is this yet another take on the Camelot legend? I'll googleit.

@coprographia dunno but i had the same thought
@JaxrelaX The only place I know it from is a remix of a midget on Cops.
/watch?v=nczwLOTKXDM
I'm not joking >.
it's completely bullshit and in no way educational.
whats the name of the song at 3:09
