That was fast, I wish all engine rebuilds were that fast. Having watched your stuff for years I'm surprised you didn't hose down the engine bay with degreaser or shoot those rusty pulleys with anti-rust satin black. Looks ready for another 300,000 miles anyway.
Hey Matt, Right now my free time very limited and I was honestly frustrated I could not spend more time to detail the engine and accessories. I am so short staffed at my main job and the work load at my own business is almost more than I can handle at the moment.
@@yourbeekeeper Isn't that always the case when you want to spend time on a project? Glad to hear you're keeping busy with work but hope you get a breather soon.
@@MattTester I'm going to take at least one week off... completely off... no work at all and go out of town the first week of July regardless of my staffing or pending projects... with the pulleys.. in the next video notice that once the engine is completely assembled, you can't even see them so that's why I left them alone. Spoiler alert, I did take the time to do some detailing of the engine bay and under-side of the hood (bonnet) ...heh heh heh...
You got the engine stroked, the blower is coming, the twin 4bbl carburetors with NOS lol. The truck is been apart long enough you've forgotten where everything goes or how it came apart. I bet ya skippy was telling you how its supposed to go back together his way is the right way 😂
Looks like your moving right along, I imagine your already driving it around at this point. Your trucks pretty clean and probably entering collector territory... It would be here in the rust belt. Do you have to worry about break ins or smash and grabs? I've heard they're pretty bad in the San Fransisco area.
Yes, at this point I have a couple hundred miles on it and so far no issues. Crime and theft is out of control in SF.... I avoid that place like the plague that it is.
all the hoses and sensors are crazy considering this is such an old vehicle...but with that being said, all the measured emissions at the last test just a few months before the head gasket failed were practically zero. Hope you have recovered and you're feeling better.
Awesome Bee !! I bet you'll be glad to have the little truck back on the road!!
*Have a good'nnn*
Thanks Gear, Appreciate you watching.
Making good progress!! KEEP EM COMING!!
Always!
Nice work getting the engine installed. Won't be long now and you will be driving it
It's a nice change to install such a small and light engine.. Thanks for watching Lloyd, appreciate it.

shhhh... don't give away all my secrets. lol.
@@yourbeekeeper lol
I stumbled across the first video of this engine…did the engine throw a timing chain while driving I take it? Cool videos man.
Ended up that it the head gasket failed.

Your little white pickup truck looks like a Taliban pickup trick all you need is a 50 cal in the back
lol
Definitely doesn’t look like the nicest engine to put back together.
California emissions definitely can suck.

@@yourbeekeeper Feeling Better, Yes
But it's definitely very difficult to fully recover, after losing your partner of 18 years.
I need to check 3 codes how do I check them
Check out my video on how to read codes without a reader. ruclips.net/video/qxL6WGJGtMg/видео.html
Did you go with a 3/4 race cam 😂
hahaha... nah, completely stock. There ain't no mods or gains I can get from this engine to satisfy my need for speed so why even try.
Why can't you ever show your GTO again
I can, I just don't. It's very far down my priority list.
