I must say something about Sarah. She is a delight, a real artist with outstanding artistic vision and feelings. Sha is bright and charming. She makes beautiful and sensible music as interviews. Sarah, keep on, you are just wonderful.
She is grown into something like an ambassador for the BerlPhil. Watching her for just five minutes blows a lot of prejudice towards classical musicians to pieces. Just a kind human being, playing the horn in this amazing orchestra. Sometimes I have to sit for budgetary reasons on the podium, directly behind the players. And when the concert is over and the applause sets in she always has a friendly nod to us in the cheap seats.
Simon Rattle, although we might see you more with LSO, but BPO will miss you. No one can fill you space at Berlin Philharmonie and BPO. You are just the greatest!
the story of Christa Ludwigs Kundry has an additional pay-off. Her husband, the famous Walter Berry was singing Klingsor in that production, and ever since he was kind of jealous of his even more famous wife, because Christa always had the higher fees for her roles. Even for her "Dienen, dienen" she got more than him!
Hi Simon. What are your thoughts on more ethnic people getting involved in classical music, especially from black communities, I've been studying classical guitar for about 2 and a half years at city lit in London, great college, great tutor, I'm learning so much musically &technically even though I'm better at learning with tabs, and it's great therapy.
Can't decide which one of them is more charming.
I love to hear Sir Simon Rattle speaking, he speaks so eloquently, so beautiful! I love it!

Greetings from Argentina. Huge admiration for Maestro Sir Simon Rattle!
I love Christa Ludwig. I can see her laughing all the way to the bank on that one.
