VolcaNiced thanks 😊. In the jam, I change the octave of single notes by using the arpeggiator (set arp to on, not hold, octave mode, down mode, range sets octave). For short notes (16th notes), the arpeggiator will only play one note, and the range will set the octave of that note. Similar to the octave slider on the Volca FM.
Great work, as always! The NTS-1 is an amazing little synth, especially for the price! At first I was confused what the cable was that appears to be plugged into the left side of the NTS-1, then I realized you have the unit sitting atop a USB battery pack!
RobtheDrummer yeah. Didn’t have a spare usb power adapter at the moment, so I grabbed a battery back instead. It uses practically no power at all. Have run it for hours and hours on the same battery pack without running out of juice.
Nice jam there. I have one of these little synths on order at the moment, I cannot wait for it to arrive. I bought it mainly for the FX but every time I hear the synth I am more impressed with the sound you can get out of such a little box.
was going to pick up another FX pedal for my synths , but I'm thinking I might as well get the NTS-1 instead . it's like multi FX with a free synth tossed in just cuz :) great demo . I hope you do one with this and the microfreak
It works great as an effects processor. I use it for my MicroFreak and it’s awesome. The effects alone are worth every penny and you get a great mono synth, too. Putting it together is like this: put the circuit board on the bottom piece of the case and then build the box around it. Takes about 15 minutes.
Nice jam dude! Wondered if you could help me... what is the correct way to connect the monologue and NTS-1? I’ve linked them up successfully but if I want to hear the NTS-1 osc on its own via the monologue I have to turn down both monologues vco’s. when I then try to record the NTS-1 sound into my mpc x via midi/cables it doesn’t pick up the sound? Any ideas? Thanks 🙏🏼
hay awsome work . can i ask you why you connected monologue to nts from the headphones and not from the output ? also why u conected via midi too ? output wouldnt be enough ? thank u for your help. keep up the good work
@@odysseasg3896 I connected the headphones output to get a stereo signal (well, dual mono), so the sound is placed in the center. If I had connected the mono output on the Monologue to the stereo input on the NTS-1 using a regular stereo cable, the sound would have been panned hard left or hard right (don’t remember which). The Monologue sends notes to the NTS-1 using MIDI, playing the arpeggiator on the NTS-1.
Bravo ....

Cool! The arpeggiator is really nice too :-).
I'm still waiting for my NTS-1 to ship.
@@boriscat1999 How long have you been waiting?
@@DocBolus only 6 weeks. Sweetwater has it on backorder until October.
@@boriscat1999 Wow, that will be well worth the wait.
Way wicked

Lovely jam, very pleasant to hear.
Thanks for sharing. I have been tempted to get a Korg NTS-1 because it is very affordable. Thanks for demo-ing it so well. Beautiful composition too.
Raku777 thank you 😊. I like it so far, but have just had it for a few days.
Lovely, I highly enjoy sequences made without a computer (although I use a DAW myself).
Nice!
Thanks 😊
Great stuff!
