@@RaccoonRecluse right, I’m aware of that. I’m saying that once they’re made into armor, they’re no longer sentient because they’re dead. A bound weapon/armor is a completely different case.
Everyone here I HIGHLY recommend reading Daedric armor crafting motifs. Some are written by Daedra and specify the use and reasoning behind their designs
I wrote a fanfic where I described dawning Daedric armour like Eddie Brok from Spider-Man putting on his Venom suit. It melts and wraps around your body, hardening into metal, vanishing just as easily when it's time to come off.
Lorkhan, by definition, cannot be a daedra. He was the one creating Nirn, it was his idea, he convinced the other gods to help, and he had to die to keep it stable (the instability is also the reason why the gods are never present despite protecting Nirn). On principle, Nirn isn't that different from daedric realms, except that the "owner" is dead, and it's a lot more welcoming. A reason why it can't be a daedric realm is because the version we have comes from the inhabitants of mundus, seeing their world as the "main" one and the others as outside realms, which is true. But also, this one was a project in which several gods participated, the others are more like their own personal house or bedroom. The other, main reason, is because daedra means "not our ancestors" and aedra means "ancestors". It's not really a literal sense, it's more like creators. Those who aided in creating mundus, the most well known one being the 8 divines. Thalos is technically not an aedra, although he became a god, but he might be an ancestor nonetheless, at least to some of the population.
I suppose I understand how the daedra can suffer as it’s heart is infused into metal. To my understanding it’s not possible to permanently kill a daedra by normal means. When defeated in battle the daedra returns to oblivion but I assume it is still connected to it body in some way to be able to suffer when it’s heart is fused into metal plating.
Conjuring two Dremora Lords will literally torch almost any enemy of any strength magnitude. Dremora wearing Daedric armour, with fire swords. Good times.
Thief: " All right, hand over your valuables, or I'll get you like a fish!" Me at lvl 83 wearing armor of a dead god: "....I'll give you a 10 second headstart to run."
I love it when Fudge uses the Believable Weapons mod in his videos it's a nice touch and is my favorite mod for Skyrim right behind everything Simon Magnus makes
So do all deadra and aedra have different versions of daedric armor? Daedric armor created by man uses Lorkhans life essence, while other deadric princes create their version of daedric armor, using their own life essence? I'm just trying to understand this. If we look at Lorkhans heart, its a blood red, obviously, but if we look at Molag Bals daedra, they have the blackish armor, but they also have a dark blue glow.
Every Daedric price is unique so all of them have completely unique Daerda and Dremora as servants what causes the difference between the looks of all the gear and other stuff Molag bal has alot of blue, white and gray withe sometimes black as his colors while Merunes Dagon has mostly just black and red and then we have special cases like Sheogorath who's choice of colors are completely crazy and random like everything ells related to him
@shadowbanned Well yes you're right but Sheogorath is the god of madness so in general i doubt he cares what his soldiers wear or look like aslong as it amusses him And Sanguine really doesn't care but i would expect more royal and extravagant colors for him like for example like the Emporers children from Warhammer 40k, alot of gold and silver withe red, blue and purple gemstones on the armor and blue or puple fabric to really go withe over the top style
Considering how bound equipment is just lesser Daedra forced into a desired shape. I would argue that the deadra do not use their own essence necessarily but any Daedra's will do. Also, Aedra are not really know for Daedric armor at all.
And the fact that Lorkhan is the Deadric prince of Nirn just means you're basically giving a soul transplant to the blood of your Skyrim character's true form.
It would be cool and kinda scary if daedric armor can speak because we put daedra heart (probably they very soul too) And start whispering to us like stealth suit mk II from fallout nv
I would assume daedra themselves are still alive in their own heart and by forging daedric you’re forging the daedra itself into the piece. You could also make the argument that daedra are fragments of lorkhan himself and you’re putting pieces of lorkhan together.
The creation of daedric weapons could, in theory, seal a daedra, right? Does the lore specify what happens to daedric items (not artifacts) after some time? Do they return to their respective planes eventually or something? This reminds me of Onimusha, where you seal the souls of demons and use their essence to power up your gear. Both concepts are metal as fuck.
“some say” and “thought by some” is a crazy way to refer to Mankar Camoran. “‘Lord Dagon cannot invade Tamriel, his birthright! He comes to liberate the Occupied Lands!’ says anonymous source.”
Daedric armor is cool, and this just makes it even better, but I cannot get over the asymmetrical spikes. It causes me physical pain each time I see it.
Yes, it's a modded version. None of their videos are pure vanilla (at least not anymore), and they never actually share their full modlist (or not that I've seen anyway)
I preferred how Morrowind handled Daedric armor. There were two sets - one that you can acquire legitimately, the other on an essential NPC - and you can't make any more. It felt so much more special that way, tracking down every piece was a task in and of itself, rather than just any smith who had forged ten thousand gold rings having the "skill" to make it. Daedric gear SHOULD be hard to come by.
Should've needed special training or done a quest to make it. Like the master spells. I wish every skill had something like that, it would really show that you are a master, above the rest.
@@cnut7383 Exactly! Maybe there's one person in Skyrim who knows the secrets of Daedric smithing, and you have to track them down, convince them to help, then apprentice under them for a while, and then - and ONLY then - can you craft your own Daedric gear.
Eh that wasn't a thing in oblivion either so I think Bethesda realized that making deadric armor that hard to come by would be annoying for most players (it is still end game gear)
@@Dovah_Slayer Honestly, for me, Oblivion does more wrong than it does right, so I don't even really consider it for things like this. It's not a BAD game. It's just sort of middling, compared with Skyrim and especially when compared to Morrowind.
You just made the armor sound more Metal than I could ever imagine!🤘 There needs to be some music to go with that (besides At Doom's Gate or Rip & Tear)
This really made me wonder what'd happen if you used a daedric heart on madness armor itd just be a armor that could probably do whatever it wants lmao
Using a Daedra's heart to create Daedrice armor just sounds like one example in a larger pattern in TES lore where a heart/soulgem/stone is used to power something. Towers with their stones, Dwarven automatons with their soul gems/cores, Pelinal Whitestrake and his "diamond shaped red rage", Solstheim's ash creatures, Briarheart warriors and their briarhearts, etc.
Daedric armor is amazing. I prefer daedric stuff in I’m doing a darker warrior style build but I also like paring the daedric helmet and chest piece with the shrouded boots and gloves (or the stronger version you can get of those idr what it’s called) for a dope asf rouge warrior assassin build
man with Ebony, Daedric and dragon bone armour lore it kinda makes you realise..the strongest armour's in Tamriel have some pretty scary lore with them haha
There's this arc idea I've always had where an NPC steals a daedric sword from my dragonborn and is put through hell by the Daedra within who twists their mind and commands them to kill their loved ones (it's a pretty good Roleplay idea if anyone wants to use it) I do faintly remember being told that the Daedric crafting bit of Skyrim wasn't entirely lore accurate but more just a way to have the armor available to the player in a craftable method.
I like that, no normal person can wield daedric gear, you'd need a very strong will. Umbra does something like that, except you eventually become umbra
@@cnut7383 It goes in hand with the concept of Mephala's ebony blade. It's sad to see how Bulgruuf's son is pulled into Mephala's web. (based on how Irileth paused and looked away when she saw who was standing next to Farengar) A bit far fetched in my own opinion but it would be trippy if that was the case I do recall in an old playthrough of ESO during the Aldmeri dominion questline you come across an assortment of books left in place with the pure intentions of luring mortals into a trap set by Hermaus Mora. Anyway towards the end you're given the option to burn the books in a pyre and each time the books verbally call out to you to not burn them before finally screaming in agony when they are finally set into the flames. Skyrim has a skill book titled "Heavy Armor Forging". It's a rewritten version of Oblivion's "Heavy Armor Repair" skill book. On the topic of forging Daedric equipment, it says: "I can only tell you tales of how to make Daedric armor. I have never seen it myself, nor do I know anyone that has. The stories say that it should always be worked on at night... ideally under a new or full moon, and never during an eclipse. A red harvest moon is best. Everyone here I HIGHLY recommend reading Daedric armor crafting motifs. Some are written by Daedra and specify the use and reasoning behind their designs
My girl lyranth teaching me all the ways of daedric crafting

Alchemy and deadric armour
I really like that Daedric sword mod. Kinda like a streamlined Ancient Nord sword. Just serrated.
Do you know the name of the mod also what retex they use?
@@Dovah_Slayer I wish. I'm sorry I don't know.
@@justinfarmer7460 well damn
@@Dovah_Slayer Agreed.
Bro, I was thinking that Daedric sword skin was looking good, too. I wanna find it. Lol
Your Skyrim content is incredible ❤
It's such a hardy metal that you have to hammer it primarily with the pointed end 😂
If the daedra didn't want to be turned into gear for the dragonborn and endure immense and eternal suffering they shouldn't have died to them lmao.
Daedras cant die. They respawn in oblivion
@@Schoober kinda depends on your definition of death since some humans also respawn in oblivion
Daedric weapons are kick ass for a vampire character build.
Conjuring two Dremora Lords will literally torch almost any enemy of any strength magnitude. Dremora wearing Daedric armour, with fire swords. Good times.
Another thing is in oblivion you need an enchanted sword to kill ghosts but you can use a daedric sword to kill them as well without any enchantments
Silver works too.
Love to see you making move fudge muppet! The work yall do makes my heart smile
Thief: " All right, hand over your valuables, or I'll get you like a fish!"
Me at lvl 83 wearing armor of a dead god: "....I'll give you a 10 second headstart to run."
Thief: "You never should have come here! ARGH!"
The daedric warrior should have also been a thing in Skyrim that you fight at level 90
I love it when Fudge uses the Believable Weapons mod in his videos
it's a nice touch and is my favorite mod for Skyrim right behind everything Simon Magnus makes
Every Daedric price is unique so all of them have completely unique Daerda and Dremora as servants what causes the difference between the looks of all the gear and other stuff
Molag bal has alot of blue, white and gray withe sometimes black as his colors while Merunes Dagon has mostly just black and red and then we have special cases like Sheogorath who's choice of colors are completely crazy and random like everything ells related to him
@shadowbanned Dremora really stick to the warmongering kind of princes, so most likely only Dagon and Bal employs them.
@shadowbanned Well yes you're right but Sheogorath is the god of madness so in general i doubt he cares what his soldiers wear or look like aslong as it amusses him
And Sanguine really doesn't care but i would expect more royal and extravagant colors for him like for example like the Emporers children from Warhammer 40k, alot of gold and silver withe red, blue and purple gemstones on the armor and blue or puple fabric to really go withe over the top style
Considering how bound equipment is just lesser Daedra forced into a desired shape. I would argue that the deadra do not use their own essence necessarily but any Daedra's will do. Also, Aedra are not really know for Daedric armor at all.
@@redomer91 That makes a lot more sense.
You were just shown in my recommended and I’m subbing because this was cool af to know, and you presented it very well.
I love daedric armor so much
And the fact that Lorkhan is the Deadric prince of Nirn just means you're basically giving a soul transplant to the blood of your Skyrim character's true form.
It would be cool and kinda scary if daedric armor can speak because we put daedra heart (probably they very soul too)
And start whispering to us like stealth suit mk II from fallout nv
You are definitely making the daedra in question experience a lot of pain by hammering its heart into the alloy
Ngl a daedra suffering makes it even more fun
I put daedric armor on Cicero and it is hilarious to see this badass guy with daedric armor judt being like "lEtS kIlL sOmEoNe!"
Always appreciated that the edgy armor has equally edgy lore that actually kinda makes sense
Imagine if you forge the armor with 20 Daedric hearts. How power will it be?
Me in Daedric armor: *"WE ARE DAEDRICBORN."*
I would assume daedra themselves are still alive in their own heart and by forging daedric you’re forging the daedra itself into the piece. You could also make the argument that daedra are fragments of lorkhan himself and you’re putting pieces of lorkhan together.
That looks like savatar from the flash when berry took his suit
The creation of daedric weapons could, in theory, seal a daedra, right?
Does the lore specify what happens to daedric items (not artifacts) after some time? Do they return to their respective planes eventually or something?
This reminds me of Onimusha, where you seal the souls of demons and use their essence to power up your gear.
Both concepts are metal as fuck.
Meanwhile a random thief: Let's mug him.
Is this a VLDL reference?
Who needs a smart phone when you can have smart armour

I have never, not once used a daedric armor set

Same, i always give that armor to lydia and let her tank everything.
I avoid it too, looks lame and over the top to me.

Brings back all the memories of crafting a shit ton of rings, daggers, and random pieces of armor to get my smithing up to 90
Daedric armor is cool, and this just makes it even better, but I cannot get over the asymmetrical spikes. It causes me physical pain each time I see it.
And yet, despite this, i still fail intimidation speech checks while being fully decked out in this stuff
Obviously everyone still sees the milk drinker wearing it

what is that sword? is it a overhaul or smth else?
Yes, it's a modded version. None of their videos are pure vanilla (at least not anymore), and they never actually share their full modlist (or not that I've seen anyway)
I actually thought I knew everything about elder scrolls until now, thank you
I preferred how Morrowind handled Daedric armor.
@@SerathDarklands fair I'm too stupid (or forgetful one of the 2) to actually play morrowind more than once
This account is awesome can't wait to watch all the vids
The fact that this clip makes me want to jump back into Skyrim even with like 500+ hours just goes to show how incredible the game is
You just made the armor sound more Metal than I could ever imagine!🤘
There needs to be some music to go with that (besides At Doom's Gate or Rip & Tear)
If the Vigilants of Stendarr were competent, they should have Daedric armor and weapons as killing and making the Daedra suffer are their main goals.
Awesome armor and weapons! I prefer Dragon armor and weapons, but you can't go wrong with either! 👍
i like the idea of you becoming something like Spawn where you've taken the Daedra power and are now judge jury and jailer of the damned.
I always choose dragon bone armor.
I'm the dragon-born motherfucker. Cover me in the flesh, blood, and bones of my enemies.
I'm glad that Daedric armor has the best defense so you have the best armor and coolest armor all in one
Nah, my phones listening to me. This is the first RUclips short I’ve gotten about Skyrim and I just started playing again.
This really made me wonder what'd happen if you used a daedric heart on madness armor itd just be a armor that could probably do whatever it wants lmao
This was actually very interesting to know thanks!
You're not using the heart of a daedra. You're using the heart of a Dremora. Deadra are the princes themselves
Dremoras have the same hearts daedras have apparently
I always thought Daedric sets were so cool. Easily my favorite, but this vid just made me think they’re even cooler.
I was about to go work on my next video and then I saw this awesome thumbnail. So I guess here we are back on RUclips shorts somehow
I will never wear this armor because it is an affront to the Vigilants of Stendar.
Thanks for telling me information i discovered literally a decade ago
Daedric armour might give more protection but Ebony and nightingale have the drip
I even like how the daedric armor has pre natural stats to boost flame enchantments and buffs
huh?
Using a Daedra's heart to create Daedrice armor just sounds like one example in a larger pattern in TES lore where a heart/soulgem/stone is used to power something. Towers with their stones, Dwarven automatons with their soul gems/cores, Pelinal Whitestrake and his "diamond shaped red rage", Solstheim's ash creatures, Briarheart warriors and their briarhearts, etc.
That deadric sword looks badass, even better than vanilla's one
HAS ANYONE FOUND WHAT THIS MOD IS CALLED?
At this point I know more about the history of Nirn than my own country.
this is literally the coolest armour in the game, I wish dragonplate actually looked good
Ya should've just let me take Mehrune's Razor. Now you're stuck protecting my legs and crotch after immense torture from forging.
Once you get this armor only bosses can really hurt you.
I Played the whole game in that armor didn't care if i had better protection i just found ways to make it stronger 😂
man with Ebony, Daedric and dragon bone armour lore it kinda makes you realise..the strongest armour's in Tamriel have some pretty scary lore with them haha
Whats the lore of ebony? Im interested...
Legitimately cannot believe this game is still being talked about this many years later
Mind = blown
There's this arc idea I've always had where an NPC steals a daedric sword from my dragonborn and is put through hell by the Daedra within who twists their mind and commands them to kill their loved ones (it's a pretty good Roleplay idea if anyone wants to use it)
I do faintly remember being told that the Daedric crafting bit of Skyrim wasn't entirely lore accurate but more just a way to have the armor available to the player in a craftable method.
You know there's a theory from a friend of mine who built a case on how Delpine is the kid's real mother. (based on how Irileth paused and looked away when she saw who was standing next to Farengar)
A bit far fetched in my own opinion but it would be trippy if that was the case
I do recall in an old playthrough of ESO during the Aldmeri dominion questline you come across an assortment of books left in place with the pure intentions of luring mortals into a trap set by Hermaus Mora. Anyway towards the end you're given the option to burn the books in a pyre and each time the books verbally call out to you to not burn them before finally screaming in agony when they are finally set into the flames. (the idea that if a prince were to imbue a part of their essence into an artifact it grows its own sentience but it keeps within the princes sphere and desires.
No need to dive.
1. Stick 4 ebony ingots together the long way
----. Weld or smelt together.
2. Repeat step 1. once more. ----
3. Carve a channel or canal down the center of both on one side that will properly seal when both halves come together.
4. split heart evenly, place in center and seal weld both halves together. If done right over a 🔥 hit once for glow.
Here's a little cool way to get some daedra heart:
The 2 daedras that Mehrune summons after completing the "Pieces of the Past" quest will respawn every once in a while.
Just don't bother going in the dungeon since I'm not sure if it stops itm
nah, the daedra in the dungeon respawn too, don't worry
The craziest thing is, you have to hit it with the back of the hammer
Skyrim has a skill book titled "Heavy Armor Forging". It's a rewritten version of Oblivion's "Heavy Armor Repair" skill book. On the topic of forging Daedric equipment, it says:
"I can only tell you tales of how to make Daedric armor. I have never seen it myself, nor do I know anyone that has. The stories say that it should always be worked on at night... ideally under a new or full moon, and never during an eclipse. A red harvest moon is best. Ebony is the principal material, but at the right moment a daedra heart must be thrown into the fire."
I'm surprised he didn't mention the fact that you could get daedric hearts in Oblivion.
"Hey, Mr. Daedra. Have you heard of my new song? It goes like this:
'Dovahkiin, Dovahkiin
I put a sword in your spleen.'"
