I only tried running this for an evening, but struggled a bit. This is very cool and unique defense, the A-gap pressure was super consistent, but i ultimately failed to stop a dude spamming the same "stacked" (2 receivers per side, staggered basically on top of each other) RPO. Ahh well, I'm doing well with Dollar. Definitely gonna check out Duke's new Even 6-1, thanks for keeping us up to speed, my good man. 🏆
@@Sportsgamerz not sure if it was from Gun Monster or what, I'll have to try and dig up the play. No clue if I could stop it from my usual Dollar... I didn't have the Ravens D dialed in, had to go back to Multiple. Might check out Jets, though. Typically I use Chiefs for Even 6-1, but I know nothing. I trust your judgement and expertise.
@@mr.counterfeit893 Right on, man -- i've been forced to use a fair bit of Cover 6 Show 2 against a lot of these type (tight and bunch) formations lately. Although, if the pressure gets home fast enough and i can personally take away the quick TE and Slot Seam throws, then we're cooking.

In practice mode it works fine but when I move my linebacker behind the lineman in game he just runs back to his normal position? How do I turn this off?
I run this defense differently then the video because I don’t like rushing and the most rushing yards I’ve allowed was 53, even with an unstoppable angry runs. The defense is mainly weak in rpos unless you know how to man
why use the example at 8:50? if the RB went up the middle right, he would've had the first, but he goes to the outside with no blocking help and the edge defender already outside of the right tackle for an easy shed... a lot of these examples from the actual game kinda suck. the guy his is playing made mistakes every single time, even that pass to the sideline, that should've been thrown underneath to try and steal a first down that way, not a full route to the sideline. and then saying "crazy a gap" at the end.. most of the times if you run a user delay blitz up the middle you can get through and to the quarterback if they're not expecting it... with almost any setup
More like the examples of the defense working against the run sucked and against that pass when he aired it out and shouldn't have. I mean it is clear as day he went the wrong way in both examples of him running the ball. he used pure ratings speed instead of his blockers. so I don't think they are great examples. @@Sportsgamerz

madden is trash, you could run a hb draw while in prevent defense and still stop the run. we need 2k to make a realistic football game where bs like that won't happen

@@TruePyro504After getting ranked higher in MUT (Currently on MVP, right below Legend) I’ve noticed a lot of guys running the same two defenses every game. Cover 4 Palms/Quarters has been popularized in recent years, especially in this years game. A lot of guys run the 3-3 defense out of Dollar or 46 with curl flats adjusted to 5 or 10 yards. Sometimes people will adjust the D-lineman to have curl flats assignments instead. As much as I hate being forced to play the game this way, it’s also necessary to stop cheat offenses that abuse corner routes and the middle of the field.
@@Huntman1103 I agree my brother. Man EA has been messing up this game for years. Been playing madden since 2004. Never ran off of a E-book. Never copied someone’s scheme .

cover 3 is bad against the "seam" and thats what tight formations are good at otherwise this defense is good

Because you can’t run him there then click off quick you gotta put him there and wait a sec then switch and he shouldn’t move

Does anyone have experience with mouse click buttons on their controllers? If so, are they better for shooter games or do they well for madden?
Yeah they’re good for shooters. I’ve got a Scuf FPS Pro and it makes the world of a difference for Apex in my opinion.
I'm sorry after Madden 19 Nickel 3-3-5 odd is irrelevant. Anytime I see 3 down linemen I'm running the ball all night
