I am 63 and have been a recreational competitive triathlete for 30 years. In 2018 I had 2 stents put in after feeling bad after a race. I was very confused. There was no explanation by the doctors and I was put on the protocol of many drugs. After 2 months and with many hours of my research I quit all drugs and went on a Keto diet. I am back to racing and all my times are the same as before.

Hi Prof. Jeff, Aarron here from Helensville, New Zealand where's it's 5:00 pm, with your help I've identified what Dr Eric Berg describes as a concept worthy of a Nobel Prise. I'm sure how or why I stumbled on it and it's a concept so simple that all your viewers will want to tune at around in 7 hours time - midnight local time.

I am interested in learning more about the introduction of a carb dose during higher intensity phases of endurance events (also during training and race prep) and the targeting of this dose to VO2 max levels. I have been looking for guidance on this issue. Can you point me to any research or other scholarly articles/books on the topic? Thanks

Dr. Volek’s talks are always very informative and fascinating. This is evidence based science, not anecdotes. Anxiously awaiting the additional data from FASTER!

Can you guys talk to TrainerRoad a training program that pushes carbs at 100 grams an hour for training and performance. Coach Chad is a big carb lover.

Fascinating. Just anecdotally doing long endurance (for me) has been helped a lot being in ketosis. (And I am an insulin resistant person)

Is higher fat Oxidation only bc of higher fat intake?

Moritz Enderl It is due to the change in metabolism and reduction in carbohydrates. Your body begins to use fat as primary fuel source when carbohydrates are minimized.

Virta Health yeah of course but i think you said that automatically means that more fat is burned(what I understood as losing fat in that contest) while I guessed that it could just be because more fat is in the body generally speaking
