👨🍳 High Protein Tropical Smoothie Recipe Ingredients
1 (15oz) can chickpeas (or 1 ½ cups cooked chickpeas, 250 g)
1 cup (140 g) frozen mango (or about 1 fresh mango)
1 cup (140 g) frozen pineapple (or fresh)
1 orange
2 bananas
¼ cup (75 g) almond butter
1 ½ cup (360 ml) plant-based milk (I use soy milk)

Protein Content Total: 55 g plant-based protein
250 g cooked chickpeas = 22.15 g protein
140 g mango = 1.15 g protein
140 g pineapple = 0.75 g protein
50 g orange = 0.47 g protein
240 g banana = 1.75 g protein
75 g almond butter = 15.75 g protein
360 g soy milk = 12.78 g protein

How much ml your left with in the end? Looks like atleast 2 shakes?
Yes, it's 2 shakes worth. Also, the whole recipe (as I calculated) comes out to over 1,400 calories, so it's best to enjoy half

Just made it and it is so tasty ! Huge portion, almost burnt my small blender , but already ate have of this desert! Thank you Philipp ! Do you have some recipe tastes like condensed milk? I like this very much but don't want to eat this anymore because of milk and tons of sugar.

Hi there, I'm from a country where chickpeas arent sold in a can, but in packets. The chickpeas are available mostly in raw form, how do i prepare them to replicate how they are in the can? Do i boil them?
That works, too! Just soak the chickpeas overnight, and boil them until soft. Enjoy!
Do we have to soak the chickpeas overnight or just wash em up?
If you're using canned chickpeas: just drain and rinse them. If you're using dried chickpeas: soak them overnight and cook them. Enjoy!

But isn't soy milk kind of harmful for the hormonal balance, though the research says that the affect is marginal it kinda makes a difference
Don't worry. If you're drinking excessive amounts like four gallons a day, there might be an effect. Otherwise "soy consumption in men is associated with lower prostate cancer risk, which is the number one cancer killer specific to men." says Dr. Greger from nutrition facts dot org. And for women: "... we’ve known that eating soy, particularly during adolescence, can reduce the risk of getting breast cancer in the first place, but now we know it’s associated with improved survival as well."
