- Pikmin 3 beaten in 10 Days, collecting all fruit. This is the intended minimum amount of days; I can't complete each area until I have Blue Pikmin, which I can't get until Day 6, so I complete each area on Days 6/7/8/9, then finish the game on Day 10.
This run has no Pikmin deaths, as that's really the only way to do challenge runs of Pikmin. I also got all 4 captain upgrades for no real reason.
Note: Every day was played separately and appended into one video; this was not one continuous run. I did make a small mistake with the appending before Day 8, but I don't feel like redoing the entire video to fix that. Also, I did not find most of the major tricks/glitches used.
I never realized just how much Winged Pikmin break the game until watching this. I feel so enlightened.

The best I could manage was 16 Days, and that came with a shameful Pikmin casualty count.

In day 4, when he got to the paper bag that you push to get everyone to the Sandbelching Meerslug arena, I got mindblown! Who would have thought to use the Dodge Whistle to get there without all 3 explorers!? That's insane!

actually he didn't (the graph on day 7 made it look like he lost rock and blue pikmin but he didn't those were just the ones he threw in the candypop buds)
They're also immune to being stabbed by Cloaking Burrownits, since they stab too. It's a hidden resistance that cleverly hints at how to beat the Plasma Wraith easily.
Did he seriously fight the Sandbelching Meerslug without bombs and while doing other things in other places!? I'll say it again: This dude's insane!

It is easy to miss-handle the explosives and kill Pikmin,
and it doesn't do too much damage.
Dude, it's Miles. He does crazy stuff on Metroid Prime (and Prime 2) and Super Monkey Ball. Just watch the runs on AGDQ recording and you'll understand just how crazy Miles is. I'm honestly not surprised he beat a boss while multitasking without using the slower strategy that you're "supposed" to use.

I want to replay Pikmin 3 again and collecting all 120 data files (which means retrieving everything like suits as they give you files) in under 25 days. My first play through when I got all the fruit was 38 days. But I wasted 10 days or more just collecting fruit and secret memos I missed. If I hadn't I'd have finished in about 25 days. I've got 14 out of 15 platinum medals. The only one left is Shaded Garden 5 (collect treasure)
We were planning on selling our PS3 to get a PS4, expecting free PSN Network, backwards compatibility, you know. Well, none of that was there. We looked in walmart for games if we were gonna get a PS4, barely found anything, so i told my dad to think about the Wii U, because i didn't really want a PS4 as much as a Wii U, and when he thought about it (he grew up with both). "Maybe, it does cost less," he said. we haven't decided yet, though. The first thing i would get would be this. Congratulations if you actually read the whole thing.
Chase Adams what a mistake you made if you passed on a ps4 for a Wii U like I did. Sometimes being a Nintendo fan is painful but now the Switch is out and we are saved at least.

Wow, you're amazing at Pikmin 3 dude. That's amazing how you managed to collect all of the fruits in one day. You gathered all of the fruits and Pikmin mega fast and nun of the Pikmin died. That's amazing how you do all of the things that need to be done all in one day. You had a lot of juices in your juice rack and just enough to keep Charlie Alph and Brittany healthy. I wish I could play Pikmin 3 the same way you do. Luckly for me I just completed Pikmin 3. I got all of the fruits like you did and I watched the best ending of Pikmin 3 which was amazing. Great Pikmin 3 playing dude, you're awesome. :)

In the PAL version, Charlie has a crush on Brittany, but whenever he says something relating to that, Alph interrupts him, possibly for the greater good

I just realized when you fought the Meerslug, you brought EXACTLY enough Pikmin to carry everything back. If you lost one Pikmin to him the whole run would be ruined. That is daring.
You make this game look like a complete cakewalk from beginning to end.

Another trick you can do- clip out of bounds when you are in the cave with Brittany and you can get to the shaggy long legs arena on day 3 with no day meter. You can use the eggs to get all your yellows flowered, and defeat the shaggy long legs so you don’t have to on day 9.
Normally I'd be disappointed in the way glitches were used to move around the map quicker, but the rest of the play was just so good that I can't bring myself to complain. :P Excellent speedrun, very well done. Let's get some commentary next time!

Side note, I think the Rocks are really bad against the Calcified Crushblat when its armor is off. That might just be me though.
I just use one bomb to blast off his entire armour and then attack it with blues. It saves a lot of time.

I've watched like four "let's play"s of this, and you are the first that has played it skillfully, i thought the charge command was broken, or had to be unlocked or something on the others, were the toss every single pikmin every time they do anything. i liked/favorited/subscribed only thing that would have made it better for me was if there was commentary.
Brittany says the fruit from the Scornet Maestro smells so good, but that fruit just so happens to be a papaya, a fruit with a reputation of smelling absolutely terrible.
I thought me beating the game in 13 days was unbeatable and you even got all fruits. Wow

The time can easily be cut down in this run for a few reasons:
-You really should skip the fruit analysis cutscenes as it would shave off a bunch of time
-That one red pikmin left behind that you went to get for some reason was really unecisary
-You should've used the faster pikmin pluck exploit in which you cancel the pluck as soon as your captain starts plucking that way the pikmin not only comes out faster, but you can start the next pluck as the previous pikmin unplucks on its own
Other than that, really great run! The multitask was amazing and same with the pikmin management, well done!
This was done on the original version of the game. You couldn't speed up the fruit cutscenes on that version.
To be fair he didn't know that the one red was left behind until the last minute.

You also made me realize how better the gameplay is with a wiimote. I just finished the game with the gamepad only, and using the same stick to move and to control the pikmin throwing direction is kind of awkward I think.

+Tony Kong when this video was recorded, you couldn't skip those cutscenes. They patched it, though, so now in the latest update, you can. However, playing in the latest version means you can't do any of the glitches in this video.

After 10-day completing Pikmin 3, I 8-day ran pikmin 2 and surprised myself at how moderately easy it was. I only resetted about 20 times!
You handled Day 6 expertly. Completing the rest of that world in one day sounded impossibru.

***** The minimum number of pikmin required to beat the game 100% is 57. 20 reds, 20 yellows, 1 blue, 6 rocks, and 10 wings. You can convert reds to blues in the last area so that you can get underwater fruit. Hopefully I'm not too late to help.
For someone that is so fast at this: Claris Robin. Like seriously, this takes me 30 something days to get everything, before defeating the Plasm Wraith, and ending the game.
You could have saved a lot of time by using 1 bomb rock to blast of the crushblat's shell, but good job. I finally completed my 10 day 0 death challenge last weekend. That was really though. I had 4 seconds remaining on day 10.

He explored everything first, ended the day, saved it and then go back to the previous day.
Now you can use Go Here commands to those areas.
A new trick was release(check the Greenalink channel), so now, you can beat the game with only 42 Pikmin ( fives yellow)

Usually the Japanese version of a game is given to both NoA and NoE to translate, and so they do their own localization without keeping in check with each other.

Likewise, you officially unlock the "Go here" feature when you break the rock wall near the Drake in Garden of Hope. Just in case you wonder why you can't seem to do it during the beginning of Day 2.

I think with all bosses (as with most of this game), it's all about figuring out the best strat. Once you get it, then all the bosses are actually really easy, but for first timers, they're all very challenging. I think Mawdad is the only boss where even if you know it's weakness, it's still a challenge to beat deathless without good execution, and as President said, Maestro makes it's weakness too obvious. XD

2:46:00 I think it is Charlie that causes the ship to hurtle to the planet's surface. He was the one who brought up tourists. I mean, think about it! That is how it always happens. The bad guy asks a seemingly innocent question for financial gain. An all you can drink fruit juice planet sounds mighty good, yes?

We actually have a bit of a Juice Buffer.
Hmm.. one that thing that was a time saver in my run was using 2 bomb rocks on the Calcified Crushblat. You can easily leave him with a little more than 1/3 of his life and kill him instantly with a group of blues, saving you the time of plucking rocks from candypops and then turning them back to blues.

This is just all sorts of suspicious. The wall glitches and that whistle jump are obvious exploits, but I'm curious about how you are able to auto-move the squad leaders to areas that haven't yet been explored. It's as if you somehow disabled the fog-of-war. Then there's the 0 pikmin deaths, which I was admittedly impressed by through most of the playthrough, but then there's a part in the final boss fight (around 2:38:00), where some of your rock pikmin are being electrocuted for an absurdly long time without ever dying. I can only imagine what else you have going on under the hood here.
Electricity can't kill Pikmin at all in this game, but I'm wondering how he can use auto run to places he hasnt been to either.
Captain Olimar Just run through the entire area, end the day, go back in time to the previous day, and the entire map will be loaded.
You seem to be VERY unknowledgable in this game.
If you play on a NG+ file you keep all your upgrades(I think) and map data.
So obviously he already has all the area data on his profile.
Electricty has also been changed from instakill to neverkill.
The pikmin have evolved to only be stunned by it.
Same way as they have all learned to use bombrocks and can all save themselves from water now.

czarchasm2 electricity is a no kill in this game, and he restarted to day one with all of map cleared. Don’t criticize when you don’t research something. Idc if this was 5 yrs ago

Yeah, I think it completely resets if you do "new", since "New" is a tutorial, I think it's okay to just start from Day 2 instead of Day 1 for the sake of a casual New game +. Which will keep your maps complete. Then you can only use it after you unlock the ability in Garden of Hope behind the rock wall.
48:20 you just defeated the purpose of rescuing Charlie. I did that once before rescuing Charlie and when I got to the phone, I wasn’t able to trigger the cutscene.

Well I managed to use some of these tricks on my most recent run, but others just didn't pan out for me. It would help if I was as good at keeping pikmin alive as you are.
Just because it's the easiest boss at the level that he plays at doesn't mean that everyone considers it that.
