I was a little confused at first, but after I connected the bodice it turned out so easy from that point. I used Michael's flecks yarn and it turned out so beautiful. I did the same little ruffle on the sleeves on the bottom of the skirt and it's so stinkin' CUTE!! Thank you so much what a simple and easy pattern. What a gift both the written pattern and this tutorial!! Thanks you!!

I just finished my dress and I love it. I made this for a little girl for her reborn doll. I love the way you explain the end of each row so you don't have wonky edges. I will be checking out your other patterns.
I am loving this dress pattern and this was actually the first dress I have ever crocheted. It was a real simple pattern to follow. However, when I was finished making the dress, it looked a bit small. More like a preemies size. So, I alternated it so it can be a bit bigger.
How did you alter the size? I’m new to crochet, and this looks like it is meant for a doll, not a baby. I have gone through the instructions and there is nothing showing how to adjust for diff sizes. Sorry, I just realized this was a year ago.
@@dyanndedinsky6235 Hey! I made this a year ago, and haven’t made one since. So, with that being said, I can’t remember how I alternated it. I’m so sorry! 😔

Thank you very very much. My daughter is having her first baby and it's a girl. I am going to try this dress out for sure. It looks easy enough. Thank you and know that I appreciate you taking the patience to teach us. You were very good at explaining the work.
I don't have anyone to make this for but it's beautiful! Also, I can't believe it, but I finally see someone hold their hook and working yarn exactly the way I do! I just recently taught myself how crochet holding my hook with the knife grip. It's not as comfortable but I can do it. I noticed when using knife grip, my stitches are smaller and a bit tighter. Anyway, great tutorial! I have saved this tutorial for later in case I need it. Thank you! Love the way you teach.. very easy to understand. 🌼💜🌼
Thank you for your kind words Jamie! This is the way my mom taught me to crochet when I was 7, and that's the only way I know and comfortable for me. I hope you'll have a chance to make this baby dress for some new little angle in the future!
@@OlgaPoltava Even if I don't have someone to crochet it for, I may make it anyway😊 I just learned to crochet about a yr ago on RUclips and truthfully, it is so much more comfortable for me to hold the hook in the pencil grip. xo
I was taught to hold yarn and a hook more than 60 years ago and this was the "correct" way. it's the only way I can work. I think the pencil grip is way less work but whatever gets the job done is good.
Hi Olga, super erklärt. Wenn man Grundkenntnisse hat, kein Problem. Werde es größer häkeln. Bitte so weitere Ideen erbringen. Vielen Dank und schönes Wochenende...herzlichst Karin
Thanks for sharing. This tutorial helped a lot even though it said 0-6 months, I followed along and my dress came out a preemie size which is perfect for my reborn preemie doll. I collect them and make things for them I'm so proud of myself that I successfully made a dress. I tried thos same tutorial las month and completely failed. Thanks again for your help.
I love this pattern and want to make it a little larger. Just using a larger hook still makes the bodice a little short for a slightly older baby. Should I add another row of double crochet before I start the ruffle sleeve row?
Just wanted to let you know that I did add another row to the yoke and I think it is just what I needed. It changes the stitch count but gives the same results with the dress just a little bit bigger! I love this pattern! Thanks!
I love this baby dress. My granddaughter is 1 and Id love to know how to enlarge this pattern. I have some of that yarn too & haven’t known what to use it for yet.
Love this pattern. Would you be able to advise me on stitch count and sizing using double knit wool for a 15 inch baby chest. I just can’t seem to make it big enough, thank you
Hello, It seems that this yarn is discontinued. Did you use the Caron X Pantone bamboo yarn or the Caron X Pantone merino blend yarn? I am trying to figure out what would be a good alternative. I appreciate your help.
Hi Martha, unfortunately there is not quick way to make it bigger. I would have to rework the pattern and do all the stitch calculations for a bigger size dress.
@@OlgaPoltava hi Olga it’s ok thank you I actually made it happen. By adding ten more chains. I also changed the bottom of the dress it came out beautiful I kept the top the way you made it .thanks again

I love this baby dress ! I would love to make this dress in a larger size . I was wondering if I wanted to make it in a 6 to 9 months , how many change would I start with ?
Hi Sheila, unfortunately I can't say off the top of my head, I would have to redo all the calculations. And it also would depend on the yarn and hook size, and crochet tension. I do have several baby dress patterns in different sizes in my pattern shop, but I just realized this one is the only baby dress tutorial I have. I'll try to make another video tutorial for a bigger size dress.
I have another tutorial for a child dress, it's made with worsted, category 4 yarn, it's for 3-4 years old. But if you use lighter yarn, category 3, the dress will come up smaller, should be good for a 2 year old. ruclips.net/video/OWkF5N8yEnI/видео.html
Super cute dress, but it's way too small for a newborn. I might fit a doll. I used a medium 4 yarn and a 6 mm crochet hook. I tried the 5 mm hook and I crocheted as loose as possible. I can't change the original chain count otherwise the counts will be off and I will get confused. Really too bad because I really like this this dress. Could you please post another video in a bigger size?
I'd like to know how to make it larger if possible. My daughter wears 18-24 months sizes & this pattern would be perfect to use some bulky super soft pale pink & white combo yarn I've been dying to make something for her with! Please let me know if there is a way to make this larger! Thanks
