I always loved that my dear Mom made baskets for my sister and me every year, even when we were in high school. She'd fill them with goodies. Man, I miss her. She's looking out for me, up there in the twinkling stars.
Mine well qt almost 60 no kids I was on birth control toll I was 51 omg yes I'm now just ending menopause hopefully anyway just spending time with family mom and dad are gone most traditional days are long gone
As a child of the 90’s I grew up with a Martha Stewart mom. Martha was always in our home. Luckily my mom let me help bake and even try my own recipes while I’d pretend to be Martha. I’d finish my dishes by saying, “it’s a good thing.” Now in my late 20’s I’m enjoying revisiting her episodes and continuing to learn and let Martha influence my life. Thank you! 💕
Being able to leave comments to her and see other people’s experiences completely elevates this experience into a community. Martha is America’s Queen, such an inspiration to work hard 💝💝💝
Wow! This video has everything you need for a great Easter dinner. Thank you for reminding cooking dishes ahead of time prevents rushing around on the day and allows one to enjoy themselves.
This is a beautiful Porchetta! I will definitely be putting this on the party menu this Spring. I’ve watched Martha my entire life and she is the reason I love to arrange flowers and cook amazing food. 👨🏼🍳❤️ I adore you!
you know what I like best about Martha? even when she makes a mistake, she leans right into it and acts like that is precisely what she meant to say and do...making the rest of us question if maybe we're wrong. That takes some skill! she plugged through "goodly amount of salt" like she uses "goodly" for everything and we should too. LOVE HER!! always have, always will. I can't cook...when I want to learn, I go to two people Julia Child and Martha Stewart!
For the "goodly" thing, a quick correction is in order, and maybe even a dash of fun self deprecation over it. For someone who prides herself on doing things properly, then grammar and usage should be also included for Martha. Plus, if she doesn't acknowledge the mistake then some viewers might believe that the word is totally acceptable in conversation, and then before you know it you have another situation that spreads like rust on a sunken hull, like when _impactful_ started becoming the preferred thing to say instead of crucial or critical. I enjoy Martha but once in a while she really tries to save face when a boo-boo has been made (verbally or physically). And that's okay. She's human. Nothing's perfect. And "that's a good thing". 🙂 I once watched a cooking instruction program in which the hostess was sprinkling cinnamon on top of her rice pudding in a pot. As she began to shake it the jar released clearly much more than what she had anticipated, generously covering the dessert. Instead of saying "Oops, good grief, that was too much" she suddenly blurted "Be liberal, slather it on!" I would have respected her much more had she been genuine. Not a big deal, I know, but it says a lot about someone.
@@eduardo_corrochio You must be my spirit-grammar-animal..."Impactful" drives me crazy. I get it, I'm a nerd lol...but the whole concept of using "impactful" as a verb of impact, it's worse than that whole "irregardless" mess that happend.
@@PJ-sh3nh Love it. In my youth "impacted" was only about someone's wisdom tooth at the dentist. Now it's changed from adjective to verb, and is rampant on TV and elsewhere. I do understand that language evolves over time, we can't stop it. But I kind of wince a little bit inside when something sounds just not right. Fussy? You betcha! I'm practically Felix Unger sometimes.
@@captainamericaamerica8090 i have been saying "impeccably clean hands" and "beat your meat into submission" almost my entire life, because of Julia! I agree, she is the platinum standard by which all other tv/internet cooks/chefs should be held. Just a remarkably brilliant and professoinally prolific human. I wish more womens' studies programs would make her a focus, she was an alpha-female to the highest degree.
I've always had to work on Easter so it's been a quick eating lunch very fast on Easter and then going to sleep so I can go to work since I work nights but this year I'll be able to have a wonderful Easter dinner with my daughter and a couple of friends who don't have any family to be with
Omgoodness Martha. So pack with great information. Absolutely will try these recipes. Thank you so much for sharing. Please make sure to have enough ingredients so you can teach us for many years to come. Love you 💐🙏
I really enjoy watching Martha Stewart's video's she explains every step of the recipe and everything she makes looks really yummy hope to see more video's possum 🌹 💖🦘
Thank you so much Mrs Martha Stewart. I love all your Easter dinner, each and ALL recipes that you have taught on your channels and on TV. Happy Easter to you and your family!
Yes, you do know what you are doing. I have sliced pork belly, must try brown sugar glazed! Funny story about 20+ years ago, my husband made Halla bread for a holiday dinner with my grandpa, and Jake the beagle somehow got to the bread wrapped in a bag that was packed in another bag on the counter in less than 5 minutes while we were gathering a few things upstairs! It was a great memory.
Happy Easter Martha and everyone. ❤️🐦💐 My mom always did ham and all the decorations too. My fave thing she did was a coconut cake shaped liked a lamb she made for me. It was 3D and held together with prayers and toothpicks I think lol but adorable and I loved it.
Happy Easter to you Martha... Ukrainian tradition... baked Ham/ Babka/ Paska/ pyrogies/saurkraut/ Ukrainian Sausage/ deviled eggs/ sour cream/ cottage cheeze/ rice and bacon cabbage rolls/ crepes filled with cottage cheeze and smothered in butter/sautéed onions over the pyrogies..etc etc etc
It wouldn't be Easter if I didn't make a lamb shaped cake in my grandmother's cake mold. The frosting is white with lots of coconut for fleece and a cherry nose. Raisin eyes, a bow tied on the neck and on the background of a cutting board with Easter grass and jelly beans.
I felt such like a kindred spirit when she said husbands mallet from the garage cause that’s what I have stashed away in my kitchen drawer. 🤭 works great for a lot of things like cutting large fruit and veg!
U are an amazing. Woman. Artist. Just splinfliforous ! I sure wish I had the opportunity to meet u in person ! I would've learned so much from u. In so many areas. Thank you for taking ur time for us !
Hi Martha I love your cooking school so helpful and informative! In Trinidad where I'm from we grate the ginger on the second smallest side of the grater the skin separates from the ginger! Very easy!!
Ham smoked fully cooked ham 325 1.50 wrap in tin foil 325 1or2 hrs keep foil aroundham cut in slicesor criss crosscuts😊😊make for holidays..criss crossham a glaze it ..2c brown sugaron ham
This Easter we're having baked ham with au gratin potatoes and buttermilk biscuits and green bean casserole with the crunchy french fried onion topping (that veggie dish is too good just for Thanksgiving, lol). Now I just need some Reeses eggs, and licorice jelly beans-- preferably the _Just Born_ brand.

What about the cooking pan? The baked on sugar and cognac drippings should be a nightmare to clean! Can you place ham on foil before adding drippings?
Fennel pollen? A full 3/4 cup of sage? Total disregard for a difficult economy with food shortages. Maybe they have fennel pollen in the Hamptons.
