Fun fact! This ride is actually based on Dante's Inferno from the Divine Comedy. In fact on the ride entrance it features the famous quote "Abbandonate ogni speranza, O voi che entrate" (Abandon all hope, all ye who enter here)
In fact this year they actually renamed it Inferno!
ANOTHER FUN FACT!! the entire theme park is based on movies, TV series, etc. They wanted to build an horror roller coaster and... there it is!! (I know it cuz I'm italian and I've been there lol)

Thirteen wasn't as good when it first opened but it's improved over the years. I went few a weeks ago to Alton Towers and thirteen has improved dramatically I can't remember it ever being that good!! It's so much faster. The trees in the dark forest are fuller during summer they are thick and create great near-miss moments. The drop moment has new music too👌🏼 and smoke effects. Whoa I wrote an essay
But this isn't th3rteen tho
looks good but after the freefall drop, i was expecting it to go backwards like th13teen.
I went there this summer, and was so cool!
The list also includes TH13TEEN at Alton Towers. Best family coaster ever.
Been on both Thirteen & this and Darkmare is a much better ride!
I wasn't expecting TH13TEEN to drop since I thought it was a smaller family coaster than what it was - the double drop really caught me unexpected! Good fun though. Darkmare looks good too!

this reminds me of one ride from Busch Gardens VA. Stared with a V... not sure what it was called. It was ver cool and was a dark tunnel ride. and a drop track. very cool ride , both of these

I did this it was super fun! My brother actually told me it wasnt a rollercoaster and it was very slow so i went on it, but actually it was fast and twsting and turning i was NOT expecting that so it was pretty scary. The drop part was not expected bc i thought it was going to start gooing backwards but then it just dropped. suepr fun though

Th13teen is easily better! It was the first ever free fall drop rollercoaster and even kids can ride it! It’s simply a 1.2M height restriction!
You should go to Busch Gardens Williamsburg! I recommend the Verbolten
I think TH13TEEN builds up the tension to the drop and even what after better.

I know it's not really a roller coaster but Guardian at Canada's Wonderland has a drop track that I'm pretty sure is bigger than this one.

I looks kind of like a slower, more family friendly verbolten! Looks very fun though.
The motorbike ride at universal studios has a drop track the drop is bigger tho I think

Now they should do more things with breakable track pieces, like making them bank sideways, or maybe put those tracks on rails and make it do a 360!
Winjas at Phantasialand, Germany has a section of track that tilts sideways. There's also an enclosed roller coaster opening at Ferrariworld that is supposed to have multiple moving track segments.

+Ravenwing19 I meant to make you stop, then the track twists upside down, then you are released into a half loop. Will give quite some hangtime as well.

+Theme Park Review I think what makes this ride cool is the darkness and the effects of the ride, but towers 13 what's good about that one is the backwards bit after the drop.

I was in legoland ice climber with drop like dat.
But this drop is a lot of fastee than on the coaster at Legoland Billund.
Any idea why it's called 'Darkmare'? With a name like that I'd expect it to have an evil horse theme.

In the Efteling(the Netherlands), a few employees went into the Rok coaster with lights on. They filmed the ride, and put it on the internet. After the direction discovered that, they were fired immediately.
My question is: How do you get the rights to film this coaster with lights on?
(please don't make a lights-on POV of the coaster I told you, because it ruins the ride and the video the employees put on the Net is still there.)

Except that it's made by a totally different company, the track layout is entirely different, it's not totally indoors, it has a completely different theme, and the drop section is not as intense. So other than all that, yes it's the same thing.

I've been on both this and Thirteen. I prefer this by FAR! The theming is very hard to see in the lights off part of the video, but it's very, VERY good!
I agree this one is better although it's hard to choose because these are all projections (except the creature on top and the lights at the end) and I think it's much more fun if you have real decoration.
