Or me, I too love the Mazda 3 but I just can’t stand the C pillar and how much the rear windows slope up
It’s got innovative looks and is different to anything else on the road. Very unique
I've seen it in real life, it's so ugly for me. It reminds me of a fat mouse sitting. Fully equipped Corolla looks much better. The interior of the 3 is amazing tho. The quality is top notch and even better than some premium models.
Because the C pillar is just tasteless, it's just too big with no lines and the rear door are just tiny and claustrophobic.
I don't care too much for this redesign but I always appreciate hearing your perspective and reasoning.
The Hyundai create a very unique shape of tail light design, wether you like it or not. But you change it into a "comfort zone" tail light design that definitely look cool but a bit boring.
That second Gen is SOOOOOO gorgeous. I fell in love with the first one first but I love where they're going.

Asian designers or those doing their style need to 1) draw longer lines, fewer lines, and 2) lift the pencil much sooner.
Your redesign is MUCH smoother and makes the car look a bit lower slung.
The thing is Hyundai designers aren't even Korean
And stop grouping Asians. It's as bad as grouping entire Europeans
@@rpomusic that has nothing to do with grouping. The asian car design is very much inspired by asian pop culture and generally the Asian car market tends to buy more extroverted cars
Most of Hyundai designers aren't korean, in fact Peter Schreyer is chief designer of Hyundai Kia Group.

I loooooove the new Veloster design. If you ever drove the first gen, the new model is sooo much better to drive. The Veloster N is surprising very good. Very powerful.

I've loved the Veloster since it came out in 2011
He was calling the tail lights headlights thooooo... Haha. Can't wait for the crx! I feel like this is the modern crx.
Another thing I like with Mazda designing. They always make them simple yet elegant. They're on the idea of removing anything fancy and making them more sleek and futuristic. Since their idea of "Kodo: Soul of Motion" became a thing, they are aiming in that way of designing new cars.
I almost got a Veloster as my first car.

The Z lines on the fenders truly are quite unique for this concept Hyundai had been evolving for a while now.
Please modernize the Bugatti EB110!
Please modernize it in a way so it stays weird (you can always tell that it is a EB110) but make more modern.

Nice! At the beginning of your design, you started to change those hideous rear lights and it immediately became a better looking car! However, at the end, I could see an angry frog! :)

Don't you see that the "weird lines underneath the tailights", the shape of the rear window, and the tailights' curves are there to correlate with the front grill? I think the two inward curves are some neat and sweet touches.

Glad I'm not alone in absolutely loving the Mazda 3
Nice try. You should've looked at the turbo trims where there are better looking exhausts and taillights. They also have a black side skirt that ACCENTUATES THE LINES on the car. I think this car does have a lot of lines connected already. The two curves on each side point at the horizontal rear bumper edge. Now, there are TOO MANY PARALLEL LINES that make it look less dynamic.
Hyundai can make the veloster look crazy because in most markets they also sell the i30 which is a far more restrained design. The extra design features such as the front grill inserts are highlighted by stepping up in to the N where they are very deliberately coloured differently to the rest of the front end
Please fix the rear lights of the current Suzuki Ignis.

@@mikeoz6643 They are no longer in the US but they are currently killing it with the new Jimny. The Vitara, Swift (Sport) and Ignis also sell very well. They are still independent and are very competitive compared to other cheap brands.
I think the problem with the Mazda 3 is not its C-pillar, it's the fact that there is nothing to give a symmetr-ish look (or whatever designers call it) to that part of the car an balance the design volume (again, I made this term myself!:)). However, adding a beautiful spoiler at the back (roof) does the job.
Nice redesign! That curved rear fender line makes it more muscular and elegant.
The focus rs did this perfectly I think. Looks good from any angle.

I strongly believe that the latest Mazda 3 got the inspiration from the 1st gen Mazda 323 hatchback where you can see huge c-pillar...
I like what you did with the tail lights but the original bumper looked better.
Actually, this is the first re-design you did that I disagree with. Still tho amazing skills, but I like the original design of it .

I'd have also changed the sill at the rear to separate and meet the line that you created, a little like the W204 2012 designs

The new bumper looks really good and I think the line connections are also very well done. I did like the old headlights better but overall a great redesign

if i was you i would have deleted that crease under the lights because it interfers with the line that goes from the roof through the light and a bit to the bumper, if you have that crease under the light then the other line would have to go in a little and it would cut it there below the light, creating that little kind of piramid in the bumper
