    I’ve been riding dirtbikes at Reiter since the(late) 80s and I’ve broken more parts there than at every other orv area combined. I’ve only recently decided that I’m just too old to keep throwing myself at the ground and that maybe 2 more wheels wouldn’t be so bad. I will not be taking my new truck out there, but it’s good to see that some things don’t change.

    What you guys can do is crazy.

    • @PNW_Rodeo
      @PNW_Rodeo Месяц назад +1

      The Rodeo is a very mild build compared to the other vehicles in this video. It can still do 90+ mph on the highway, so very streetable.

    • @Bigcountry_littlelegs
      @Bigcountry_littlelegs Месяц назад +2

      @PNW_Rodeo Yeah, it's the closest to stock lol, over here due to modification laws and that they are enforced reasonably hard, it would still be what we call cop bait and be constantly pulled over and defected.
      Even on some trails, it would be defected as the cops ride bikes around checking cars etc.
      It sucks, you can put vechicles through an engineer and get approval for bigger tyres and lifts etc but 35s are the limit in most cases.

    • @PNW_Rodeo
      @PNW_Rodeo Месяц назад +1

      @Bigcountry_littlelegs I had 40s and a custom built 4-link front suspension on my 2018 Ram 3500 and not a single cop pulled me over for mods. It's a shame Australia is so strict.

    • @Bigcountry_littlelegs
      @Bigcountry_littlelegs Месяц назад +2

      @PNW_Rodeo yep as the meme says, straight to jail 🤣
      It sucks but also leads to interesting builds.
      We also seem to use winchs a lot more, and that's led to winch racing

I left from Scranton, Pennsylvania and went to Charleston, Atlanta, Orlando, Gulf Shores, Memphis, Nashville, Columbus, State College, and then back to Scranton. Took me a little over 2 weeks. Stopped in each one of those towns for at least a day, except Gulf Shores. I was there for 3 days for a festival.

    This is a cool hobby. This is the type of 4wheeling I did a little of and wanted to do more of. I had a Suzuki Samurai on Toyota axles with 35’s and then I wanted more room so I got an 85 4Runner with dual transfer cases, and a bunch of other goodies. I did a bunch of California trails when I lived down there but ultimately I sold the 4Runner and got out of the hobby. I decided that I’m just not enough of a mechanic and don’t have the passion or the natural ability to become a better one. It’s a hobby that seems to be about 3/4 wrenching, 1/4 actually out wheeling. And then you gotta make sure you have the skills and the extra parts, tools, etc to be prepared and get yourself through and off the trail. I had friends that had that ability and therefore it didn’t stress them out, but me, nah, too stressful! 😂

    That Chevy should probably not point the rear pinion at the ground first off. Second 1350 CV and rotate the at pinion like 20* up, use .188 wall tubing and it will be fine.

      I knew that bringing this up would hurt some feelings lol. I will pass your suggestions along 👍

      Good catch, just realized I left my pinion angle set for my single joint 1/4 wall dom driveshaft. Not the double Cardon shaft thats in there right now. I do need to move it up a touch.

    Hey Nate. Can you make a video about wheeling automatics vs manual transmission

      I wonder if people would watch that 🤷‍♂️. I prefer manual...

      Manual requires a bit more limb dexterity when wheeling. I prefer manual which is why I chose it for this build. Always push yourself to be better.

    This video makes me wish I wasn’t poor and could afford to off-road and overland again. I miss it so much.
