If you count sewing and knitting projects that don't work out to the point that they'll never be finished, then a resounding "yes". At least the knitting projects can be ripped and the yarn re-used.
No, but when I struggle with a particular craft or article of clothing, curses (rather than my own inadequacies) can fly through my brain sometimes escaping through mouth😉.
My middle daughter had me buy a doll blank which she lost interest in before it showed up. I finally put eyes in her, and bought her a beautiful red wig. She is CREEPY AF!!! I am as kind to her as I can be. I think she might be less creepy if she had her makeup done. . . I don't know how to do that. So, here we are.
Yup. Morgan started playing with 1900s fashion mashups, Bernadette did risqué ankle pics, Rachel's hair saga, Abby's pumpkins...the world is changing, and I am HERE FOR IT!
For us old orphaned Mamas .... they are so fun and inspiring to see & watch grow!! Love them both to the max!!! Talented in their own rights!!! I smell collab book deal or something together along the way ... short term, long term.... whatever it is, they'd rock it!!
Just watched Morgan Donner ask Nicole Rudolph for help with her jacket, I've seen Rachel Maksy get tutoring from Abby for her sewing, and now Abby is channeling Rachel for some fun craft time. Full circle yet?
I am anticipating we are also going to see these in Rachel Maksey's house soon as it's fall decor AND Over the Garden Wall. I am not mad about it, though, as they are adorable.
let's say these pumpkins are cursed in a way that they've absorbed your burn-out and frustration and cleaned your own energy :P I hope you feel better now, and I alays appreciate your content and work you put into it
So proud of you for going to therapy! Taking that first step, admitting that you need help is always the hardest part. Love these adorable and cursed lads
The best part about the Arts is that if you mess up big time, you can always say that you broke new ground. Or broke new ‘gourd’! (Thank you, Kayla and Emily)
"disabling perfectionism" LOVE IT!! Eh, if they creep you out, then make a creep out spot in your home decor. Or put them on the porch, then they can creep out the neighbors. :)
@Odontecete - I went through the same paralyzing thing. I called myself a "failed perfectionist". It was horrible. A wonderful therapist and the appropriate prescription medication helped me get out of that pit. It took a while, though.
This was too much fun! At first we were giggling at the idea of making cursed objects with Mod Podge and acrylic paint, but it's October, so maybe we shouldn't be laughing! We think you got great results with these easily obtained, affordable supplies. For a more durable upgrade, we think Utrecht Acrylic Modeling Paste would better ensure a lasting project, and these cursed Jack O' Lanterns could be on their way to a shelf in Vendredi's Antiques!
totally hear you on the happy house vibes. our folk Victorian was used as a personal care home for 10 years before we bought it, and was really run down by then. The first party we had here I totally said the house sings when we have guests over and the house is all clean and bright and all... Only to have one of my guests confirm that the spirit of the daughter of the original builder was there and very happy about what we'd done with the house so far. So, yes, house's totally have thoughts and feelings :)
I originally thought this was a Rachel Maksy video but then I saw Abby in the thumbnail and was confused haha BUT! I would love to see more craft videos from Abby because it was fun and a nice change for both her and us viewers :)
I feel your vibes Abby. This has the same manic energy I had last week when I announced on Wednesday that I was making a skirt to wear to a football game Saturday…and we were leaving the house first thing on Friday. The hem was chaos-sewn in the car on the way to the game. For the record, I am a quilter, and just starting to make clothes. The inside was a hot mess, but I kept thinking about all your preserved clothing and the messy insides and kept sewing. 😂
All of my costubers are bugging about this cruise! I'm excited to see y'all when you actually get there and can relax and enjoy all of the amazing things you have created!
The pressure on the crew of that cruise ship to get them all back in one piece…….. RUclips would surely go out of business if it lost that many costubers……..
Stopping at 9:19 to suggest renting all the holiday stuff. A wedding/party rental place will have everything - furniture, table linens, dishes, serving stuff. Might be pricey for one day but handier than rushing your actual furniture shopping. Good luck. Can't wait to see the finished pumpkins!
Abby you talking about your move to be closer to family is so similar to what I've been going through! I moved from CO to MO and the politics are starkly different 👀... I also really miss my CO friends, but I'm so much happier mental health wise with a better support system in place. Just saying that what you're feeling is super valid and you're not alone! May we both have continued happiness in our new locations 🥰🥰🥰
They’re cute! You can always put them on the porch if you don’t like them in the house. Also, for the eggs, you can use real egg shells by piercing the shells with a needle and blowing out the contents (then make some omelets). I only ever had one set of Easter eggs as a kid, we did this once, decorated the eggs, and they lasted for years. Also, it says a lot about regional differences that the wildest part of this video for me was all of the plastic bags! I haven’t seen a plastic bag outside of food delivery in years, they aren’t legal where I live.
@@felicitygee381 - We in New York State are plastic shopping bag free. Take out restaurants still get to dispense them, unfortunately. We just have to remember to bring enough reusable bags with us to the stores.

Creepy and cute! Btw, if anyone is interested in how to craft some eggs: just use real eggs, poke a small hole in the top and bottom with a needle and blow the insides out! Sounds a bit weird, but it works pretty good and results in scrambled eggs and empty eggshells.
This is literally how all of my stuff turns out. I follow 98% of the tutorial with just a few customisation, and then I’m like…I don’t know if I like this or not.
I find it incredibly refreshing to see someone doing something they aren't amazing at. It's really nice to be reminded that you can't expect yourself to be perfect at everything
Imperfect crafting is the only crafting I can do, and I'm all about Fall and struggling this year. I suspect many of us can relate to this video much more than the upcoming cruise videos (although I will absolutely be there for every one of those as well!)
Oh these turned out really good! You're too hard on yourself! And they def give off the Over The Garden Wall vibe! Might have to do some procraftination myself.
I think something that often goes unaddressed in the whole "content creator burnout" conversation is the lack of colleagues. My hubby started his own business a couple of years ago and he really struggles with working alone.

Definitely got the Rachael makes crossover vibes. The farmers hat came out excellently. The nest hat fails my vibe test but we work with what we have and say good enough or nothing ever gets completed. I like them. All the plastic bags hurt my little environmental heart.
I think they're adorable! You also reminded me that I need to hang up my hankie ghosts (not actual handkerchiefs, just squares of natural muslin with the edges frayed and cute faces stitched on)
when I was a wee boy in dark and spookie Scotland along long time ago we had to dig out the in side of a turnip be fore they invented pumkins here, and use a candle to light it oh the smell oh well happy halloween
Those are creepy cute! Vintage Halloween is my jam, so naturally I'm in love! Modern Farmhouse decor is the scourge of real estate Country wide! Finding home decor that's not grey or white is practically impossible. I went with dark emerald green walls to make the natural woodwork in my home pop. White washed it out. Decorating a new space is so enjoyable. Have a great time with your new home. Thanks for the great video!
I think they turned out great! I love the black crow with the green collar too! I bought the same one last month. Now is a great time to mix things up and try different content. Saturn and Uranus are square. I would love to see you do my crafting in addition to your sewing.
We all know Rachel Makseys over the garden wall pumpkin people heads have been cursed it just seems fitting to have the curse continue 😂😉 I think they are cute though.
You did a great job and I'm even happier to know that it served as self care and a getaway from your work stress. I am definitely here for whatever crafting goodies or anything else that you enjoy and would want to post about.
Actually this was a really great vid. Loved the kind of slow crafting, chatting away vibe as if you are just hanging out with friends. As opposed to an overly edited look as if you magically did it all in one go with no messy bits. ❤️
I feel like all the videos this year are a strange RUclips mirror of my experience with depression and I both feel terrible for Abby and so seen/valid at the same time. 💛 It's very weird but I'm glad it's here too? This went a strange direction, but I'm just happy this whole channel exists.
As someone who lives in Vegas, thank you for acknowledging Nevada has really awful sourcing for vintage and antiquing. I have been super **super** lucky with some things - like, my living room set is from Craigslist (it's from like, the 50s), as well as a vanity. I've also gotten a couple of second hand items from Facebook Marketplace but special curation and hunting on Etsy has been my saving grace. I also am working on a lot of house renovations (new flooring, baseboard and now painting). I grew up in Mass, and part of me sometimes wants to go back and visit, rent like a POD, and fill it with things to finish my house.
You did a great job. Remember that most people who try this will not be able to make it look half as good as you can! I know because I've tried stuff and it never comes out as good, but I still love watching and learning, keep it up, you make us all smile, which is really the most important part of it, isn't it??
Making the house happy with new rugs I totally get. Same thing happened to me this weekend when o bought two paintings for my bedroom. Is any one else going to see them?… no. But waking up to them each morning will make *me* happy everyday!

This was fun! Definitely bring us along for any sort of shenanigans you like. I have had pretty good results with secondhand furniture at St Vincent de Paul. But you need time, patience and a truck.
First off, thank you for being vulnerable with us. You are AWESOME and need self-care/me-time. Nice shout-out to Rachael. Honestly, they look super cute and very 19-teens. I hope you have enough done to be able to relax on Mr. Wellington's cruse.
I'm here for the cursed mid west vibes! I'm originally from MO and I love cabbage lol and I've lived around the world at this point and people think we're strange. 😅
I think they look cute! I like the fact that they are a little creepy. I'm glad you had a fun project to break up the stress of a giant sewing project. I know when I'm working on a multi part project I definitely need to take time to step away from the sewing machine. Everything seems to go better after I give myself a break.
Just watched the whole OtGW series again! It is so creepy, and you captured the vibe. You did a wonderful job on them. Keep on taking care of yourself. Happy Halloween!
I like creating Halloween artifacts with deviations such as skipping a step that says: "smooth down surface" or "wait 20 minutes before applying the next layer". The surprise (as when I reread/view the instructions) can result in a quite scary, unique piece of Halloween decor. My advice, follow your own muse as long as you wear protective eyewear, gloves and do the work in well-ventilated area. Also I find my animal roomies do not try "to assist" with my work, if I resemble Dr. Frankenstein and smell like adhesive.
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who just…is not great at crafting, even tho the process is fun. The pumpas are legit creepy, but they would be AWESOME outdoor lanterns for Hallowe’en night. I also recently moved back to the Midwest (west MI) from far away (Nova Scotia). It’s good to be nearer to loved ones again. Very good for my mental health… as is my recent foray into crafty-ness (my therapist advised me to start a bullet journal). Keep taking care of yourself, and bringing joy into your new house! ❤
Thank you Abby! they came out cute especially with the light source inside the bowls. Perhaps if you add some accessories collars, side ribbon, and the green frog or a black cat it would tone down the spook factor?
I seem to remember Rachel calling her first iteration of the paper mache pumpkin head lady cursed. I find yours eerily charming, Abby. I actually find assurance & enlivenment seeing you work your way through an artform you are less familiar with. And, I do enjoy watching people craft Despite you feeling very upset with how your sewing is going, you managed to take a little "rest", and make a charming video.
OMGoodness!! These turned out so awesome!! Way to go and I'd love to see more of your crafty adventures!! 😁 Side note...Christopher's channel also popped up for me recently too, and my dining room table may or may not be covered similarly in WIPS from his channel, so it is heartwarming for me as it was like you were just across the table struggling with me. 😂🤣🤣🤣 Thank you!

Am I weird for loving them? I think they are perfect creepy halloween. :P
Thank you Abby! they came out cute especially with the light source inside the bowls. Perhaps if you add some accessories collars, side ribbon, and the green frog or a black cat it would tone down the spook factor?
Enjoyed this Halloween themed video and seeing your home take on more of your personal style. Lookin’ good 🎃
I seem to remember Rachel calling her first iteration of the paper mache pumpkin head lady cursed.
I find yours eerily charming, Abby. I actually find assurance & enlivenment seeing you work your way through an artform you are less familiar with. And, I do enjoy watching people craft
Despite you feeling very upset with how your sewing is going, you managed to take a little "rest", and make a charming video.
Horrifying. Very cute.
I look forward to more crafting videos from you. I hope you are feeling better after this creative diversion. Gentle bear hugs xx
OMGoodness!! These turned out so awesome!! Way to go and I'd love to see more of your crafty adventures!! 😁
Side note...Christopher's channel also popped up for me recently too, and my dining room table may or may not be covered similarly in WIPS from his channel, so it is heartwarming for me as it was like you were just across the table struggling with me. 😂🤣🤣🤣 Thank you!
They look very rustic and vintage 🎃 It’s good to take a break from sewing, and crafts are the best way!
The silly little edits through out this video, like the raining down of regrets, are just perfection!!
3%peroxide in a spray bottle for the afids. Just spray the whole plant down. Also you can oxeginate the soil with peroxide it's cool.
OMG.... cyute!
I love those too much. They look spooky and cursed BUT also happy and playful. Creepy combo 10/10 would be haunted by these.
