- I am so glad to see you at our annual big battle of cheap winter machines! If you new here let me tell you few words about the event. Once a year numerous homemade and cheap winter machines are gathered together to take part in an exciting and funny snowy race! Snowmobiles, motorsleds, snow scooters all of them are here, with only one requirement. The vehicle should be affordable. Well its time to begin, so get comfortable my friends we are to start right now!

The snowscooters are interesting. Good idea, but they don't handle or carve very well due to the traditional wide snowmobile track. If they built them with a little longer half width tracks, that run on a monorail skid that can lean inside the track these would handle amazing with such a low center of gravity. You could even keep a wider track but the crucial thing is to have either a monorail or very very narrow twin rail skid that allows the machine to lean side to side while the bottom of the track stays flat on the ground. It will seriously transform these snow scooters performance.

Love the diversity of machines - seems like in Canada we only have snowmobile, I would love to have more inexpensive options here.

You can buy old used sleds in canada/USA cheaper than you could probably build these and they have way better performance

Would be cool to compare with (older and cheaper) 600-1000cc 2 stroke. You can get old powerful sled for cheap when you get it used.

Make a separate class/race for the "regular snowmobiles" they kind of dilute and stink up the whole spirit of the
"DIY unique snow machines" theme and just make it hard to see the actual interesting ones.😒
