I know I suggested the background for individual levels, but WOW! That looks absolutely stunning! Seriously! The background fits so well with the overlay and the gameplay, just...chef's kiss! If I had one suggestion, I think it'd be funny if the PTG showed up somewhere on the overlay if you saw him during the level. Like, maybe he just teleports in above the mushroom toppin. Idk, just a silly idea
Oh also, you can use normal taunt to updoor if you ever need to. It is a TAS only trick though because it cuts off 0 to 10 frames of uppercut and you need 10
i do wish i could hear ALL of the sound effects but honestly i definitely see the improvement in terms of routing! i love the overlay, it's so charming :] my only issue is some text looks a bit hard to read (i.e. achievements) on some borders, maybe a little black bg behind it?

Hmm, wondering if I should do a similar approach to my Scoutdigo TASes, or if I should keep my original idea of playing the clip at full speed first, then replaying it at a slower speed while I voice over what is happening in the clip, before resuming it back at normal speed.
I think the voice over would be better, since having the voice in the background will be less sensory overload Edit: i also haven't seen much scoutdigo, but it's faster than PT. soz yeah.
On the long cheese bridge at 13:07 every RTA runner I've seen jumps over all the enemies to avoid losing time to hitstop, but you don't, does that mean it's actually optimal to stay on the ground to keep gaining running speed? Also, a nice note to add, since you have the score target in the overlay, would be that the grade indicator takes into account what you'll get from your current combo when it ends, which is why you get the P rank even if your current score isn't high enough.
I'm pretty much just killing all the enemies for points for the P-rank. It is optimal to dodge 'em if you are doing any% for example. And yeah, I'll add the info about the score to the captions, thanks.
@@chikimoco In that case, I will say that doing the trick to skip the results screens on levels actually wastes IGT. Since the results screen pauses IGT, that means that it wouldn't waste time to view the results screen. And because the animation when specifically exiting a stage rather than escaping it is longer, that means that doing the trick is detrimental to IGT, and only makes RTA faster. I'm going to guess this is something people know about in the speedrunning community, but I don't actually know if it is or isn't, since everyone seems to run on RTA anyways. I guess it really only matters with how the final time of this TAS is calculated.
@@BubbledDEV oh interesting. I am aiming for as little frames as possible so that would mean I'm aiming for RTA, but that's a cool consideration for IGT. I wonder if I should try to include both IGT and RTA on the overlay just for comparison or switch to RTA.
could John Gutted theoretically be achieved in the same TAS run as Let's Make It Quick? If it's easy enough that people accidentally get it on their first playthrough, you could probably go out of your way to do the two at the same time.

1. There is an exploit in the game that allows you to instantly turn around while keeping all of your momentum, if you want to read up on it I suggest you check out the Pizza Tower speedrunning wiki. 2. First off, to get the Chef Task you have to kill literally every single enemy in John Gutter, I'm pretty sure that first taunt was just to freeze and let the enemies spawn in before instantly killing all of them.
