    Of the dozen or so photographers I follow on RUclips, yours is the only one where I set aside the time to watch uninterrupted. Phone next door, coffee in hand and sit down to enjoy it. Love the enthusiasm, scenery and pictures, particularly Scotland, but then I am biased. Received my calendar now. Great pics. Keep up the good work.

    Top Notch videos! Just subscribed to your channel. Because of you I just earned some money, not much but here's the story:
    I'm the USA, State of VA. I spend a lot of time wild camping. I go mostly to photograph. I use Micro 4/3 exclusively, Panasonic setup. Need to go lighter. Your first vid of the Om5 sent me to MPB to see what they have. Ended up trading a sony camera I purchased for my wife (who didn't like it) for an OM5 body, andthey paid me $41.00 difference!
    I have no complaints. Shaved about 1kg off my pack weight, new toy, and enough extra cash for a pint or two. See ya on the trail!

    Henry, in half an hour's worth of video you've walked by and pointed out more photographic locations / vistas / scenes than are available IN TOTAL across my entire state (and the least of them are better than our best). Wow. By the way, I prefer image version #2 although I like the light in #1. But #2 is a far more dynamic composition. Great video!

    Thanks for another wonderful clip, Henry - so rich with your boundless enthusiasm. Some lovely scenery, and as always, simply gorgeous photos. I'm unsure if I'll ever make it back to England, but if I do, I'll have the Lake District on my itinerary. I understand your comments about the OM-5: the OMS gear seems to be so rich with features it's as if they were looking over the shoulders of a broad range of photographers, making note of what they needed and then brought that into being.

    Loving my om5 as well, just got some primes and a polarizing filter for it to play with. I switched to it from Fuji and even though my old X-H1 was technically a higher spec camera, I'm finding I get more images that I'm happy with while using the om5. Its just more fun to use, the extra depth of field is fantastic, the entire system is lighter, and the sensor while small is a beast. First trip out I got absolutely drenched in a heavy rain/snow storm. In similar conditions I've had the Fuji fog up, it was fine otherwise but unusable. The om5 didn't skip a beat, even changed lenses a couple times and no fog or damage even with sitting on the tripod in heavy rain for 10 min while taking a timelapse. The only thing I don't like about the system is that the info screen on the camera seems cluttered and the exposure triangle isn't lined up like other systems do.
    This advent series you're doing is working great! I found your channel a few days ago and I've been binging your videos since!

    I was in the Lake District that same week, also chasing autumn landscape photos. West shore of Derwentwater & a boat trip, Lowther Castle and Loweswater were the main locations. I just wish I was as weather proofed as my E-M1 ii & 12-40mm lens, the walk around Loweswater was especially wet, even my rain jacket started leaking. Holme Force was worth it though. 👍

    Hi Henry, what fun to join you on your adventures. I found you on RUclips a few years ago. I lived in Sequim, Washington at the time, and have since moved to Virginia, USA. I subscribed right away, and I haven’t regretted it. I look forward to each of your posts. I am so interested to know how far you walk on each of your trips. Do you measure it somehow? I agree with you that traveling lighter is so much better. Whenever I can take my little lunchbox-size plein air pastel set on location, rather than the big backpack, I love it! You occasionally mention that one of your photos looks like a painting. As a pastel painter, it makes me smile because so often people tell me, wow, your painting looks like a photo. What a funny thing that is, so switched around. There were a couple of photos in this video that took my breath away. One more thing…I love cold, stormy, foggy, dreary weather, too! I have always felt a bit odd. Most people are grumbling about it, and I love it! I am more prone to seasonal blues when it is hot. So, on many counts, I can relate. Thank you for all the creative effort you put into your videos. I know how much work it takes, and I appreciate it!

    @TF-mc6yj 7 месяцев назад

    Well done Henry and Number 1 a is better photo due to the light. But also it has a better balance of the wall and fence and in general your eye is more naturally lead through the scene. Also in number 2 clipping the top right corner of the fence isn't ideal compositionally whereas number 1 is much more clean. I love the trees that are visible in number 2 however.. I would revist the scene in better light, include the trees to the right of the number one photo (by using a 16:9 ratio) and then wait for some sheep or a classic car to move into the scene for the money shot ;)

    Henry, I have enjoyed and learned from your videos for several years now. I was a little surprised yet pleased to see that you made the move to smaller format camera. i'm getting up in years and made the change to an Olympus OM-DE Mark 3 a few years back with the hopes of putting my Canon 5D for sale. I was so disappointed with the kit lenses I got with the Olympus I put it on a shelf. I I see you are using the 12-200 f3.5-6.3 are you happy with the sharpness? It seems to be just what I was looking for. You are the only Landscape Photographer that I follow on RUclips using Olympus, so i'm curious about your opinion. Thanks

    You are a good photographer but an even better presenter, you're wasted on YT ,you should be on mainstream tv, "walks with Henry", I can see it now.

    Hi Henry, how's the colour up in the lake District now, I have a few days left I can take off and am thinking of coming up there, will be late Nov or early December before I can get there, will it be worth it ?

    You’re costing me money Henry 😂 Herdwick Sheep experience is getting booked later for my partner’s birthday. We’ll stay in the Lakes for a few days, my birthday treat might be a 121 with a well known photographer who knows the area... Know anyone? 🤔

    Henry, just found you and subbed, absolutely fabulous half hour or so. Can I ask what lens on this trip. Also, do you do workshops.Cheers, from the Wirral.
