The kicker is,... this is real. Being persistent in realizing your dreams sounds so simple, but actually it's quite an achievement. Good for you, Trent and a good example for everyone else, no matter what their dreams look like. Don't wait for any starting gun. Just go for it and keep going until you like the result and then it's just on to the next dream. As they say: You can do anything you can set your mind to. Congrats.

Your hangar looks so good, polishing was the way to go. I used to work for a company that double their square footage. The new section had floors polished before installing the ceramic kilns. This made regular cleaning so much easier. Very well done, Trent. A loud Thanks to your buddies.

Clearly the coolest hangar on the planet. That first race of STOL Drag on Sunday morning was the absolute best as those boys flew away after setting up a completely crowd fooling couple of slips and Juan announced they were headed to your house Trent! Top notch Gentlemen! That is a fine floor and building. Nobody’s better at the production side than you…

Polished floors are awesome looking and really make it easy to clean. You can toss your creeper out, but one drop of oil under your footwear and look out! I clean mine and wax it. During the cleaning a little soap and water under the side by side in 4wd can really be fun spinning around.

  • @EXROBOWIDOW

That is the shiniest concrete I have ever seen! As a kid, I had a small rock tumbler. It was a long process, but seeing the dull colored, jagged little pieces of stone turn into smooth, shiny lumps was always satisfying.
Now I'm wondering how many airplanes you could fit in your hangar. I've seen some museums do an amazing job of jigsaw-puzzling an amazing amount of planes into a cramped space.

Love it Trent. Two of my brothers and I built our own personal automotive shops here in Texas, all by ourselves except some of the roofing we had done. Total it came out to 21000 sq ft, 6000 for our car showroom for our personal collection, 6000 for our own paint shop, 4500 for our metal cnc fab shop, and 4500 for a car workshop. We were quoted $8 per sqft to grind and polish, so instead we bought our own Husqvarna remote control machine with a huge Husqvarna vacuum to do it ourselves. Instead of paying someone $170,000 to do it all we instead spent about $80,000 on our own machines we can use later when we build more shops, or sell and recover some money. Glad to see someone take the better route instead of epoxy, which we personally dislike immensely.

Hangar deck looks great. As a Mechanic, I prefer the decks to be epoxy painted white. Much easier to see dropped hardware and is much more impervious to chemicals. Makes for a brighter work area as well. Now you just need to go get yourself a Zamboni and do your decks every Friday afternoon.

Great Call on Polished vs. Epoxy
No matter how hard you try… how well the prep…. Epoxy coatings always find a spot to lift … and it’s downhill from there.
The only other thing is to Paint it… and again…like epoxy… it will find a place to lift.
    Nice work …

Awesome hanger and pad setup!! I've been watching the saga of the hanger construction, and the finished outcome is really sharp looking (I love the reflection of the lighting system on the polished concrete floor). I did have to Google 'slip resistance on polished concrete', since I've never dealt with it and the shiny surface looked kind of spooky, but I learned that the coefficient of friction is well above the required national standard for slip-resistant floors. All in all, a really beautiful outcome and you can be justifiably proud of how it turned out...
...and it really wasn't a disjointed video at all, btw 😁
