I’m sorry but these staged demonstrations do an injustice to the art. It looks fake. I would actually like to see people doing the moves against a real opponent that is actually attacking and resisting.

This literally is a great aikido demonstration. a great budo demonstration.
There is no resisting for several reasons. first of all, the attacker is brought out of balance, and in an out of balance position, you simply cannot resist, you only can fall, and you can fall two ways, tue hard way or the soft way. what you and other tourists fail to see, is that the "coorporation" is a way of selfdefense, a way for the attacker NOT to get injured and safely escape.
Go ahead, attack and "resist" a powerfull wrist lock or throw. You will greatly injure yourself unless the aikidoka stops and doesnt continue out of protecting your safety.
Lastly, if you dont understand what you see, thats fine. But try to learn, stay respectful. And if you dont like all this "fake", nobody is stopping you to go watch a "real" mma fight.
