    I’ve been following for a while now. I have to say you two are really enjoyable. No frills, no pretence, just two ordinary people really trying to live life in your very own way, whilst being caring and considerate of others and yourselves. In that quiet and unassuming way you have something to say that’s important. In this so selfish world, I’m not sure you realise just how unusual and special that is. Keep it up. I, for one will keep on following. Fair winds!

    Did you get ten hours of Patrick singing "On the road again"? That would've certainly had an effect on your headache!
    Completely agree with your reasoning for sticking to the ICW. Whilst you're still learning and gaining experience there's not much point in adding a higher risk to the journey. On the plus side, having gone north on the ICW earlier this year this has given you valuable experience about what you'll come across concerning bridges, locks, etc on the way back south and that knowledge will stay with you for years to come.
    Good to see you getting to meet up with friends. For the more socially inclined humans out there I guess sailing can be a pretty lonely experience. As an introvert myself that solitude is actually quite appealing hence my interest in it all. And "tuning" your sails! That's a new one for me lol
    In other good news; I've finally got the mug! It actually looks darker in person than the colour would suggest on the website so it's definitely a good purchase because it is dark enough for my tastes! Not the same as the blue but I'm certainly not complaining and am happy with what I've got. The size is spot on as well and I'm glad I didn't go for a smaller mug. I can't wait to get myself onto a boat of my own and have it for my legally mandated daily coffees 😉😁
    Stay safe you two and if I don't catch you before the occasion then I wish you both a very merry Xmas and hope you have a great day wherever you are, whether together on the boat or with your loved ones if you're leaving Thalia for the holiday's 🎄🎁

    • @patrickandmichaela
      @patrickandmichaela  19 дней назад

      Hahaha no thankfully it was only the one verse of "on the road again"
      We agree, I think for folks who are still so new to all of this it makes sense to stay inland and avoid going around the capes for now. Yes going south has been much simpler after already heading north through this part of the ICW earlier in the year!
      We actually enjoy the "solitude" sometimes too! Although we have each other but being married for 10 years sometimes it feels like we've morphed into on person anyways haha just kidding! It is really nice to meet other folks and see our friends out on the water too though! We try to take advantage of it while we can because we know there will be a lot of days ahead where it is just going to be the two of us.
      That's so good to hear!! We are so glad you are enjoying the mug!! Hopefully it can serve you well for years to come 😊
      Thanks! We are planning to stay aboard for the holidays just the two of us this year but are still looking forward to some relaxing festive days. Merry Christmas to you too! Enjoy the holidays and thanks again for watching and sticking around with us through our adventures!
