thanks for update. you look quite happy man. kelly seems awesome and its nice to hear more interaction from her. love her laugh and how she makes you smile. hope to see more of you two together. have a good week brother.
Hey Brian! Sorry to hear you two are having rodent issues! After my dad had $800 worth of wire damage to his F150 he installed an electronic rodent deterrent device under the hood of his truck. Since then he's had no problem with the little buggers. It costs about $25 on Amazon, and it works! You and Kelly be safe out there, and have fun!
Two words for ya, “fresh cab”! All botanicals and rodents hate it.... Look at amazon for the 4 pack. Zip tie a pouch in each corner of your engine compartment and replace about every 4 to 6 months (sooner if they get wet) and you’ll be rodent free.... Do love your music, really would love to hear more!
Love the grill. Gotta get us one! It's hard to find a good portable grill that's easy to transport, but substantial enough to last more that one season. But we're leaving in a few days for our first longer (3 weeks) trip in our RV, so I'll have to wait until we get back to order this, because we will be gone before it arrives. Thanks again, Brian.
Your talent with a camera and the perfect pairing of the music to accompany the scenery never fail to blow me away! I don't comment very often, but sometimes I just have to let you know how much I appreciate your taking me along for the ride. Thanks again Brian. 😊🤗🤗🤗 Hugs from, Sharron🙋♀️&Chicane🐶
one thing i will say is this though , if ur even thinking of moving in , get a box trailer , turn it into your living room and kitchen , then if you need space ... oh and then you also have usable guest quarters ... sorry autism , just how i am
You and Kelly sound like you’re having a great time traveling together. Her laugh is so cute. Makes me smile. Reading the comments, mothballs in socks sounds like a great idea to keep rodents away. Love to hear you playing guitar and flute! More, please. Wondering if you can sing, too? Safe travels. Thanks for sharing.
I had a nest in car parked in my driveway..first time in 20 yrs that has happened...i was blown away when mechanic told me my wires were chewed...safe travels..😎
Peppermint oil: spray or drops on cotton balls placed in areas are a natural deterrent. Add in a bit of cayenne pepper (or oil) to deter a few other critters as well
Hello Brian and Kelly, This is "Lady Jay" (should be "Old Lady Jay" turning 65 soon.) have you checked out Forest Road 171 in Prescott, AZ. ? Love the grill , hope it's not sold out. Thanks for sharing, oh ya, a strange thing happened while watching your video...I was smiling the whole time. Thanks for sharing your life, I am very Happy for you both. Great music - keep it up.
We were in the Smokie Mountains and woke up ready for adventure only to find a chipmunk had chewed our car wires. Argh! We just told the kids it was part of the adventure and made the best of things. Love that little grill. Gonna have to get me one. K'bobs looked delish!
Hey Brian we had same issue with our van last year. Our Mechanic told us to hang some moth balls in stockings within the engine and it supposed to keep them out. Love where you both are hanging out atm. Wow Buddy you are certainly upping your cooking game with the little lady alongside...I like it!!! Safe Journeys !! Gina
Another winner, Brian! Thanks for taking us to Flagstaff and surrounds. Looks really beautiful out there. Love that it's cooler. Seems AZ has best of both worlds, the desert in winter and Flagstaff in summer!!?? Your cooking shish kabobs were scrumptious. That little grill rocks. Will see about picking one up. Thanks again for the beautiful music at end too. Keep up the good work. Sorry about the little fur invasion. Several you tubers have helpful info re handling that including opening hood, lights under engine at night, etc. Oh yeah, Irish Spring soap cut in cubes!! ;D
Thank you for sharing your wonderful adventures and the lovely guitar playing at the end was a very special treat! Looking forward to your next adventure! Take care :o)
Beautiful drive, and spot. That's a neat compact grill, good idea on the springs. Dinner looks tasty. Good to see yall having fun and laughing. Happy Easter. 😊👍
you were the first person I subscribed to on You Tube and I still enjoy your videos! I'm glad to see you have a traveling partner these days. You seem much happier.
Add some mint into your van. Mice and spiders are not supposed to like the smell. It makes a great tea also. So easy to grow. You could also add a few extra herbs for cooking.
Things that I have used on the boat to control mice are, Victors Scent Away Rodent Repellar and Febreze peppermint spray, both work great, most sailors seem to pick up mice in their boats when they go to port around and near Puerto Rico, strange but true, Brian both these products work well in vehicles, we also soak moth balls with Febreze peppermint spray and put them in all the crooks and crannies where mice might be........
Nice to see Brian smiling and having a good time cooking you call them scewers I call them schishcabobs I love the grill man so cool I know your a good cook I'd love to try something you cook some time man glad to see your doing good and enjoying each other's company laughing eating and having a good time untill next time brother safe travels man love the guitar playing and nature scenes at the end
Mouse solution: heard from other Arizona campers is to leave LED lights on under the vehicles and under hoods. Also there is tape from Honda that has pepper in it that will keep mice from chewing on the wires.
I could almost smell the shish-ka-bob! MMmmmm! Thank you Brian. Love the link to Amazon for the grill. Going to try it. Take care and continue to enjoy your journey.
Rodents don't like peppermint. Soak cotton balls in peppermint oil and place them everywhere. I've also heard dryer sheets zip tied under the hood work well too.
Making me hungry! Good video, glad to see you are back in the woods and continuing the adventure!! Thanks for all the work you put into your content and taking us along
Peppermint Oil (on a cotton pad) is supposed to be effective, especially in enclosed spaces. I have had good luck with it. Dryer sheets are said to work too.
Oh poor Ratatouille. Brian and Kelli have murder on their minds...haha Ive had smart mice in my home before, and when I only set one trap at a time, they kept stealing the bait and not getting caught. Dang. When I spring 2-3 traps near each other, they might get the food from one trap but will then run into trap 2 or 3 and they will get caught. **** Side note I just read on the Dollar Stretcher website, someone uses Marshmallows on top of the coals instead of lighter fluid. They burn good, melt and stick to the coals and you dont have the bad fumes of lighter fluid. Plus its cheaper.
I love that grill. I'm a charcoal devotee, but generally use a bit less charcoal. Your results look delicious, so maybe I'm doing it wrong. LOL. Thanks for having me along!
I said it before and I'll say it again, love your life brother. You have a wonderful companion , lucky guy... Also really enjoy your music. Thumbs up Brian...
BRO, I too just went through there; PHX to Sedona to Flagstaff to Kingsman... to Baker to Pahrump, NV then up NV to Reno then up to Mt Rose to The Big Ble Lake. PS: Gas in Backer, CA was $4.59
Good advice on avoiding mice. Hadn’t thought of popping the hood to avoid them. Looks like it’ll be an awesome summer for you. You’re due. Be safe, be happy and best wishes for both of you. Happy trails Brian!
I like seeing the wonderful dinners you come up with; your not worried about the dust and fungus spores that most of the S.W. has? I thought it was just Arizona and I’m learning that the whole S.W. can be hazardous if you breath in the dust. This may change any future plans I have for future travel. I may stay more northerly. ✌️. 🇺🇸🌲
This video had good idea with good innovation, good cooking and good music! It reminded me of some music I listened to in the 90s from Windham Hill Music. 👍 😆
Love the updates Hoping the mice deal gets done with real soon As always love your videos Glad to see you and Kelly still wandering around together You seem in a real happy place in your life Keep the video coming Brian Love 'em
Peanut butter makes the best bait. Maybe the little buggers are familiar with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. If you use the old style traps it also helps tying a string onto the trigger and smearing it with the bait. . They will lick the butter off the plate, but give the string a tug.
Once they finally get the US supplier for 4wd parts, the 4x4 sprinter van is gonna open some doors and more people will be doing remote van expeditions. You can get a 4wd Ford van body on the f-250 chassis, but I don't think anything from the factory.
Flagstaff is actually a college town. NAU. Those of us who live in Phx go to Flag and Sedona to get out of the heat in the summertime and play in the snow in the winter. Sedona has a lot more beauty though. My wife and I go up there often and try to stay in the canyon where the creek is. Prescott and Payson are nice also.
Sorry about the mice. Mice are in the engine of vans-they also love my attic!! They’re everywhere weather it’s a van or a house. You’re a hard charger so you handle the mice well. Thanks for the video. I think camper van mice are in kahoots with attic mice(cousins). There’s a housing crisis in California-the mice are adapting. You have some great ideas too. “Hoods up.”--VTown
Love binge watching these videos!! So inspiring!! Thank you for sharing 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Excellent!! Thank you for sharing 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
thanks for update. you look quite happy man. kelly seems awesome and its nice to hear more interaction from her. love her laugh and how she makes you smile. hope to see more of you two together. have a good week brother.
The Adventure continues. Away we go! Thanks for sharing ✌🏿
So great Brian. We are so happy you have company and are just enjoying life on the daily. Such an inspiration. Thanks for sharing.
I dig the energy between you two. I can tell you guys are enjoying the adventure together. I love your vids Brian. Thank you for sharing.

Since then he's had no problem with the little buggers. It costs about $25 on Amazon, and it works! You and Kelly be safe out there, and have fun!
these really work - have them installed at an outside kitchen and the rodents run by the door but do not go in.
Two words for ya, “fresh cab”! All botanicals and rodents hate it.... Look at amazon for the 4 pack. Zip tie a pouch in each corner of your engine compartment and replace about every 4 to 6 months (sooner if they get wet) and you’ll be rodent free.... When I'm boondocking in Arizona, I leave my hood propped open and I also use solar lights to keep the engine compartment lighted. So far, so good!
Happy Easter 😇✝️ 🕊
wow you are sooo much happier , your eyes shine , Kelly is good for you , thank you Kelly for lighting up his life
one thing i will say is this though , if ur even thinking of moving in , get a box trailer , turn it into your living room and kitchen , then if you need space ... oh and then you also have usable guest quarters ... sorry autism , just how i am
i mean the trailer would give you both some where to sulk if the need be , space to sulk in helps , lol, and we all sulk sometimes hahahahahaha
You and Kelly sound like you’re having a great time traveling together. Her laugh is so cute. Makes me smile.
Reading the comments, mothballs in socks sounds like a great idea to keep rodents away.

Groovy ending dig it
Wow, that food looks good. Nice campsite. Love the music at the end of the video. Thank you for sharing the adventure..
Always enjoy your videos but really liking the guitar segments at end. Very post-rock sounding vibe.
Peppermint oil: spray or drops on cotton balls placed in areas are a natural deterrent. Add in a bit of cayenne pepper (or oil) to deter a few other critters as well
EEEkkk ! Thanx Brian for the reminder about the mousies. I think you are a marvelous chef.
You should have a van-life cooking channel. Ohhhh the guitar.... Peace....
Plus - am I the only one who loved Kelly's plate?! Wonder where it's from.

Handy little grill! love how small it folds for storage.
Your life is a big inspiration for me. I hope to get my life to the point where I can live like you.
Hantavirus took my coworker in Flagstaff a few years back. Wear a mask 😷 when cleaning or making any sort of dust.
Scary thing.
Great video! Those kabobs looked amazing. Have a great week my friend.

The simple life got to love it!!

There's just something about sizzling beef outdoors. Thanks hope your mouse problem ends soon. Beautiful music at the end.

Thanks for posting this. I will be doing vanlife in 239 days and my plans are to homebase in Flagstaff. So this was perfect timing for the video
I enjoyed your videos before and now I am enjoying them even more with the addition of Kelly! Awesome grill too!
Always enjoy your videos 😊 cool grill compact is the name of the game. Crazy little mice can cost both money and headaches.
I love Flagstaff! Yummy food! I might have to get me one of those grills. Thanks for the fun video! :-D
Campervan Kevin put a light in the engine compartment as well as leaving the hood wide open. It worked for him with the pack rats.
This video had good idea with good innovation, good cooking and good music! It reminded me of some music I listened to in the 90s from Windham Hill Music. 👍 😆
Awesome looking meal👌🏻
Opening the engine hood and a string of LED Christmas light underneath your rig will keep away Wood Rats 🐀👍🏻
Nice little kabob cooker.😀
Dinner looks amazing!

My husband has been fighting mice in his truck @ home! We're in rural Deep East Texas near Lake Sam Rayburn. Enjoy your videos! Keep 'em coming!
Wow, looks great! Love that little bbq - super results.
Good grills them, had one for a couple of years now,in the UK the maker is 'sea to summit' for anyone looking for one here
I hitchhiked thru there when I was 16. Yes it is colder.
