Actually,it was Patrick's best friend and dance partner that got pregnant and dumped by one of the waiters that Babys dad liked cuz he was a from a good family.She could no longer dance thats why baby stepped in. Baby had helped her because she was having problems with the pregnancy(kitchen scene) so she got her Dad to help. Her dad assumed it was Patricks baby but found out at the end it was the waiter.
