Create a radius bend using bumping technique

  • With bumping, the bend is produced through a number of individual bending steps. This rounding is made by bending many single segments one after the other. Different rounding's are possible through adjustments giving the part a characteristic appearance (a segmented surface).

    And programming those steps is a pain in the ass

      What software or programming method do you use?

      @@RedGloveFan I draw out the bend in autocad, plot dimensions, print out, then enter them manually on the brake. We don't have the trumpf desktop software so I had to make do.

      @@FORDboy357hm okay. That sounds actually very annoying…not possible to import it as a DXF or STEP to the controller or does this require additional software?

      @@FORDboy357 hm okay I see. Of course it depends on your controller version but maybe you give that a try. I could imagine that it is possible because most recent controllers, even super basic from Chinese suppliers allow this.
