God, THESE WERE THE DAYS!! People dressed up and it was awesome, dancing was really dancing, the music and singing was phenomenal and no auto tune bullsh*t, no overload of technology but face to face socializing, no growth hormones in the food, people gave a damn about the planet and other people, AND PEOPLE HAD SOUL ❤️
I will always love ❤️ soul train and what it stood for and Janet Jackson, thewhispers, Luther vandross, the o Jay's,teddy pendergrass. Was just some of the best. And overall.being and coming up on Newark,n.j we all just loved us some soul train.
It's funny that in the beginning l didn't like when they split the couples up, but then l realize it's much better, because you could get into each person dancing.
Naw they wasn't no Les Twins. These dudes OGs wit it. They're were many groups then the style was gettin played out 86-86 because trendy dancing took over but some of us real ones kept poppin. I seen them 15 years after this in Long Beach still poppin!!! Real Poppers!! Les Twins is a combination of a number of movements put together. Real quick movements taken from Poppin, Crumpin, robot, slow motion and just made up stuff.
Not in the early days; from about after 1980 or so (advent of MTV, among things), professional dancers began taking over (mostly those who'd been on since the late 1970s)--and remaining for years.
This show made it ok too be. Gay. And that was kool about the. Show. Poor. Women we get played n play ourself. Out. Especially in california. All. The. Time. No love for women n really no love. For the few attractive. Women. We have too stay strong cause everyone wants too feel. Special.
I can believe that the ladies and the men both had jobs were they got paid to dance like this - wearing fewer clothes. If you can get paid to do what you like to do, it isn't work!
Most of these dancers were in astounding physical shape! Soul Train fan since 1973
Reason * when you audition for a show like this, they’re looking for people in good physical shape. Also, most people in general were thinner then.
Hadi Hatab And they were all so beautiful young
You said It!,as in Janet's words("Control").Many can do splits.😄🙋🇮🇹🤳🙏🤓🇺🇲6:53 pm 13/12 Happy Ste. Lucy.Sud/South
50% Dancer

0:58 I love this gal. Her robin's egg blue pleather outfit is so cute and it looks like she's having fun.
My algorithms just paid off.
People born in the 50s , 60s and 70s were the greatest dancers . Something happened to the dancing gene after that 😲
The first girl was jamming!!! 🎶🎶🎶🔥🔥🔥
This is when Soul Train🚂 started turning into the Jungle Fever express 🚈
Sometimes I miss this era.

0:44 if you gonna be a duo, you gotta be coordinated. They were off a few times! Dude in the blue got scared.
It's funny that in the beginning l didn't like when they split the couples up, but then l realize it's much better, because you could get into each person dancing.
It's always one who takes forever to go down the line lol
I never cared for Lou and his crews antics. Like hurry and get on..
This must be around 1986.. that's when this song came out

This was from the Johnnie Taylor episode in April of 1986

🤣 I actually remember that dance. I forgot what it was called.
"The coolest dance in the world." XD
The “Prep”. !
💯❣️
Only 2 or 3 people’s moves matched the song. Very hard song for a soul train line.
I guess the newer soul trains are more professional type dancers
Not in the early days; from about after 1980 or so (advent of MTV, among things), professional dancers began taking over (mostly those who'd been on since the late 1970s)--and remaining for years.

1:30 Is contortionist considered dancing lol?
Damn that dude went from the Van Damme split straight into the elbow clap quick.
I wonder if the girl at 0:56 and 1:14 are sisters. They look a lot alike.
Good thing I cooked er else we'd starve to death...Memories!!!!!!!

I can believe that the ladies and the men both had jobs were they got paid to dance like this - wearing fewer clothes. If you can get paid to do what you like to do, it isn't work!
Some of the dancing was wired
What the hell is this? 1:20 girl...
