    Sure hard to beat the look of an engraved logo. Sure beats my hand writing 🤣

    • @JiggsysShed
      @JiggsysShed  8 месяцев назад +1

      Indeed. My handwriting definitely is not worthy to be on a bowl

      I got it used to print instructions on what I made at work I about forgot how to sign my name 😔

      It's funny how habits change how we do things. Though my wife will say my handwriting looks like a kids scrawl

    Yes, I DO want a laser.

      It definitely adds to what can be done. I am now looking at getting the rotary attachment so I can add designs to cylindrical objects.

    nice bit of kit and excellent finish on the bowl mate .. have you ever had a go at micro turning tagua nut (false ivory) or using it as inlay .. it's a very unique material, nice to work with a dremel too .. I used to make ring boxes out of it. Back in the day when I had a lathe etc my favourite wood to turn was fruitwood .. so nice to work with

      Thank you!
      No, not had a go at tagua nut yet. Will have to see about getting hold of some at some point.
      Yeah, fruitwood is really nice. I currently have some cherry and plum seasoning. Had turned green apple a while ago, which was a lot of fun.

      @@JiggsysShed tagua is an interesting material, looks identical to ivory or bone, great as an inlay, in African blackwood for instance .. cherry is nice, apple too .. never tried plum tho, post a vid of how that goes 👍

      @Liberty-Cap will have to give that a go some time.
      Thinking about it now, not sure how much of the plum I actually have left. Will have to check again sometime. There are 2 videos I did about a year ago where I turned it green.

    Real nice mate I cant get on with lightburn so I use lasergrbl its a lot easier lol

    • @JiggsysShed
      @JiggsysShed  8 месяцев назад

      Thank you. Not used lasergrbl. Lightburn can be tricky and although I know enough to get by, there is a lot more to learn

    No more coins then? Amazing thing that laser.

      The laser does change the need for the coins, but may some point get some more coins again.
