If we take for granted that the majority of humanity is born and raised in one location-of various ranges-, then what is it in particular, and specifically, about your home county that makes you proud to be from there? I'm curious, as I was born in the north of England but raised somewhere else, so I'm wondering about the nature of tribalism.

Well, I like that. As a mixed up American, my ancestry is British and looks pretty Yorkshire- ish. But I apparently am Scottish, Irish German and Norwegian, so there's lots of music to explore.

I loved my time in Yorkshire. I only spent 20 days there, but when I returned to the USA my heart ached for the English. It only took a little while to love them.

I lived in York for seven years; didn't want to leave, and wish I never had! Would love to still be there, although my native Northamptonshire is home to me now, and at 80 I'm not likely to uproot!

It's still full of surprises, apparently. XD For me, this is the biggest one since learning that William Shatner sang 'Common People'. Yeah, it's a thing, check it out. XD
