Used to have this song on repeat literally 10 years ago at my first masonry construction job over the summer when I was 13. Life was horrible during that time period of my life. To be honest it was artists like Zeds Dead that I truly believe I am still alive to this day because of. I don’t know how to properly express it all, but listening to this today, a decade later, has brought tears to my eyes. I hope everyone is doing well and makes it through these times stronger and better for it. Stay positive y’all.

After hearing the original track the baseline seems to be just asking for a dubstep remix and absolutely no-one could do it more justice than Zeds Dead. Fantastic track - So much talent from both artists.

The bass is relatively tame, unless you're talking about the parts like 1:55 and 2:12, which are actually accentuating the mid, not the bass.

Yo....this track is mixed really....REALLY well. I'm listening to this in a studio because this was on someone's playlist for reference tracks. Wow! Whoever mixed this did a GREAT job. Very clean and good separation of freq's. Good mixdown even though YT kills the sample rate.

That's technically a poor man's way of making the sound. It'a chord stack of Saw Waves with an LFO modulating the volume...what's what give it that revving sound.

This is just an example of brutal, senseless and indiscriminating violence administrated to a masterpiece that absolutely didn't deserve such a treatment.
It's got absolutely nothing going for it other than the sistematical destruction of an original very close to perfection.
It's just sad what they did.
Sure, i definitely agree. Though there is such a thing, that is good taste and respect for what it's beautiful and worthy.
Value is subjective up to a point. i never brought up extremes, that was your doing. There is such a thing that is quality and beauty. While the latter is subjective, the first is not.
Adding artless heavy distorted electro sounds barely harmonized is not in any way improving a composition. Moreover, the added parts override the original harmonic and melodic lines, adding nothing but distortion. While the original track is a very well balanced composition, playing on precise frequencies and on a well defined harmonic scale, those add-ons just barge in with no sense of equilibrium with the rest of the composition, ruining a work of art.
It's exactly as if somebody took Da Vinci's Gioconda and completely covered the original with black and white vertical stripes. It's not in any way better than the original, it adds nothing in the way of quality, and worse still it decreases the original quality, and, worst of all, nothing remains of what originally the painting was and intended to communicate.
I'm not discussing subjective beauty here, i meant that the overall quality of the track dropped like a stone through water. I admit i might not have clarified enough, and i admit my answer was phrased pretty badly.

I know, in fact i wrote that mainly because of the fact that most comments here stated a supposed "superiority" of this version over the original... Anybody can like it for what i actually care, it was just a risposte concerning this comparison made by people other than me.
Also the simyle about Da Vinci was a duplicated in itself, or the point wouldn't stand. The fact that the original is in itself unaltered doesn't mean that this kind of variance should be considered an improvement, you see?

Also, that statement in itself leads to aberrations nobody would consider right... Just because many thousands of people (many more than 45,000 for instance) think Justin Bieber (for example) is a good musician still the music he provides us with is not in any way a quality piece...
Most of the things whose quality really is excellent do not obtain mass recognition and world-wide fame.
I dont think it's a bad thing that not every single stuff doesnt get a mass recognition. I boycott the TV because it makes me cry to see that they serve us shit like Bieber on a silver plate telling us that it tastes like caviar, and that's what believe most of the 10-20 y.o. groupies!
