Our household is vegetarian, so we get creative with substitutes like this often. A few years ago I found out about this hack and used it in chili. It was delicious and the walnuts were so soft! For those that do eat meat, it's a good way to stretch your portions (1 portion meat + 1 portion walnuts). It's got a lot of great nutrients and proteins. Thanks for sharing!

I'm vegan and I make my "hamburger" patties with walnuts as one of the main ingredients. They are delicious!

wow i never realized that walnuts were that dirty. I wonder how much of that is oil from the nuts and perhaps dust from the walnuts themselves. Interesting idea of using them in place of meat. Good protein in walnuts as well. LOL my mind was going to the gutter with all of the "nut" jokes as well. lol Have a safe and Blessed weekend.

Coffee and walnut cake is very popular here, there is a traditional Persisn walnut and pomegranate molasses sauce that goes with duck (or chicken), you could make granola or use them on a salad. I've never seen taco meat made from them, but I do love walnuts !

That's like going to subway asking for tuna subs but the controversy going on id tests showed very little tuna and unknown unspecified ingredients
I wouldn't serve this without telling people. And the potato salad I made was just my family, and I know there eating restrictions
